Today and often in the evenings, this forum does not load well. I had a hard time creating this topic, but it looks like I succeeded.

Info for beginners on Lead - I chose Joe Cocker as main song and Arctic Monkeys as Bonus, but if you want I can swap them, I think the difficulty level of both is similar.

I edited topic post and added a new link to CDLC song Lazy Eye. Both versions are good in my opinion and can be used in championship this week, although the second version created by TomSawyer2112 seems a bit more difficult than version from TranceXZero.

I played both:

Anyway it's an interesting song. I didn't know it before, but it has an interesting sound and is fun to play!

Yay, luckywise a quite cool NW song, folky.

I´m on my lil squire holiday guitar, lil thing is not totally fond of downtuning, but it´s ok

Surprised I didn't get a strike, really sucked at the fast 4-7 stretch riff at the start.

Wow.  I've got some work to do.  Those 2 beginner bass songs seem a bit of a stretch for a beginner!  I love Silversun Pickups and the song is mostly repetitive.  But that part near the end will have me in riff repeater the whole week.

Same on beginner rhythm!  Something about the Lazy Eye riff is throwing me off, the quick slide/bend keeps tripping me up.  And the Arctic Monkeys song is great practice for me too.  "Time to learn to barre, nub!"

I must admit, that I think the "easy" songs are rather difficult on bass this week. Thank goodness, that I have moved to intermediate level. 😛 I tried the beginners anyway, and first Joe Cocker... Damn, it's hard to play it all the way through! And it gets a bit boring as well. I am wondering if I should learn the "Simandl" way of fingering here.

The other "Beginner" is also rather long, but you get the feeling... and then suddenly something completely different, and your streak is broken. I'll have to work on that part.

And finally the intermediate... and also my favorite. Though the tuning is a bit annoying. And it takes a long time before the bass is actually in tune. But it is fun and I like the music very much. That makes it easier as well. 🙂
