Except Rodman maybe because he still using my declaration of love to Royal Republic I thought it passed something like 5 years I was last time here (profile says 3). A lot of things happened. Not sure if i can post if i host? but heres some of my runs can be a bit tricky to 100 requires stamina.. however since it doesnt use that many strings i didnt think it should be advanced. It is harder to 100 compared to lotus since its 3 x more notes but lotus has more string skipping so yeah.. hamerons get me fun track after practing it i finaly got it up! was i think 89 iish? so im happy with the result . i think i could get it better just need to practice the higher fret riff more

Lead scores Really good training for beginners. For me this was quite easy, but I think 4 is ok. What a classic! I haven't played this in a long time. PS. I don't take up the competition after seeing @ cacahuate51 score. GG again And this is really hard to achieve good score and good sound while playing. Perhaps if someone knows how to play fingerstyle it will be easier, but I can't play well with a pick. Of course, as I mentioned earlier, this is more than 5, maybe not 7, but 6-6.5 for sure. This is crazy as Japanese charts usually are. I agree diff is 8.5-9.

CONGRATULATIONS @RODMAN FOR REACHING 10 YEARS OF BEING AN AMAZING HOST AND CONTESTANT!!!!! I dont think there has been someone else or will be anyonelse as commited to achieve such a spectacular task!!! So In honor of rodmans 500 weeks of being here I decided we take back the road to memory lane of his 1st week in the championship (week 38) and choose to play some of his picks. Ratings might need modifiying cause I myself havent tested them out yet and the capo songs didnt have ratings yet. It's always good to know your guys opinion on the dificulty ratings so leave a number when posting! Also, unfortunatley the Evanescence song for the capo week is now dlc so I chose another song from them to fill in the gaps and still stay a bit true to the capo week. Bass Playthroughs: surprisingly quite challenging for a greenday song. tbh i think this could be intermediate since its pretty fast usses multiple strings and has some goin up to 14 fret and slides.. Nice song. Even though i 100% didnt really felt like i played the song? seemed like it was missing somenotes or something idk it was odd. To me it seemed a bit too easy for advanced because its at a slower tempo but its fine.

Thanks @ aNDESmASAMUNE for translating ! would have never imagined it was a antibully song! although.. when i see the word uncool it reminds me of this southpark episode 1:45 not sure if a bully has ever stopped doing so cause of a song .. but atleast the message is nice/song sounds good this version is definatley easier than the old version. proper rhythm track. mostly straights/ power chords...kinda like how its easy to do in through the fire and the flames. tried again this time normal mode just to compare bass probably shoulda played it twice so itd be more of a fair comparison since i tried the other one twice. yea this one is more like the gh version of through the fire and the flames rhythm.. where you exchange solos. Im guessing its probably more how they perform it and they have the other rhythm guitar as backing track. a bit too complicated for me. i didnt play the lead for the old one but ill trust your judgement rodman

First scores of the week. Btw this Johnny Cash song note detection is so bad, holy smokes. And my guitar playing is so strange, some of the harder are easy for me and vice versa, i have a lot of difficulties on some "easier" songs. Idk what my problem is, but i have one for sure.

I´ll start the week with a last weeks post that is important to me; have a blast of a week - all great songs and please be verbose about your diff rating impressions. M8, m8, m8, m8! Stop it! There is no doing wrong in diff ratings!!!! To a point diff ratings are always some kind of subjective and more importantly NOT VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE COMPETITION!!!!!! because it´s absolutely ok to get harder or easier songs from time to time - and it´s the same for everyone! YOU ARE DOING GREAT AND WE WON´T LET YOU BAIL!!! Thx for your work. All is great. Discussions about diff ratings are never a personal offence but help to optimize the CS and CF world for everyone. Comments are a bit harsh from time to time - but most here are not native english speaking - that explains most of it. However we shall avoid using terms like WRONG or FALSE cause.... it´s offensive and truely speaking a rating +-1 is not wrong. THANKS TO ANYONE PUTTING SONGS INTO SSL and furthermore THANKS TO ANYONE RATING PATHs IN SSL - you keep the CS going!!!! To improve the situation. There is something that has to be done for long time. C´mon let´s get it on and create a Compendium about the most possible objective diff rating criteria - you´ll see it´s straight forward - i´ll start a thread about that (update: did that) and please everyone, esp. @ Mikson who is a prof. rater by now add your thoughts and add corrections with comments. I am in contact and nagging to implement diff ratings into Ignition for quite some time. I wont stop. That will help. Rod.

Time to start! Nice song for beginners, but I feel that the final parts are out of sync unfortunately. Hard intermediate, a lot of uncomfortable chords. I didn't know much about this Metallica song, but it's quite good, the solo is a challenge. Nice chart, I like these melodic licks. I thought I played better than my accuracy showed, but I had to lose on a solo.

Bass night! ---- I think this belongs to Intermediate, and I find it difficult to rate, but I would rate it 4.5 or 5... ---- ---- I really like Zero 7 and this is my favorite song from them. I played this when I was getting started with CDLC and I remember I was very excited to find this song!!! I was surprised to hear the bass, because it is kind of lost in the album version, IMO. By the way, I rated it when I had little experience rating, but even now, I would rate it 6.5 or 7, comparing to other songs we had played here. --- A quick sight reading... no need to say I have to work on this...

My High Score had a strike and less overall accuracy. This time I was better on the solo, but I lost multiplier on streak losses with some rhythm misses. Anyway, at least I will be on top of the leaderboard until @ cacahuate51 , @ Mixon or @ pedropmf start posting scores. Good luck all and we will see if we can progress over the week.

And in the second half of August I'll be on vacations, so only a month left. I also feel that the Green Day bass is harder (for me) than the advanced one. @ aNDESmASAMUNE Thanks for creating this week, nice selection of songs! I've played almost all the songs before. A nice song by one of the most popular Polish singers of the young generation. This I played some time ago, so I don't remember the chart very well. I played a few Circa songs (interestingly, this band sometimes bans tabs of their songs available on the Internet - not cool). I feel like I played this song, but probably a different version of CDLC. Ahh my suggestion that has been waiting for a long time to be chosen! I haven't played this in a while and had to remind myself this chart and was devastated by those final parts again. Thats why I rated this an 8. @ aNDESmASAMUNE and other participants. The guitar path in Riverside song is in D Standard, but the same chart (with notes moved 2 frets down) is in the Alternate Lead path. Actually, I don't know why it's in D Standard, because there are no low notes on the E string, it was probably similar with the first part of this song. In any case, I propose allowing the Alt Lead path so that you can play E Standard and setting it so that OCR accepts the scores. @ kayteck @ avastreg

very cool week!!! fun to play! going up and down the fretboard a bit long for me but im a sucker for chromaticms i saw this band get reccomended alot on the suggestion list. not to much a fan of his high vocals but this one was nice to play cant go wrong with some thundercat!! a bit on the easy side but still really fun to play. i see riverside. i play immediatley saw them live this year great show! opening band was klone and some other group i forgot their name but they were also surprsingly good. basslines are always a blast
