  1. @ diceslinger hah... here is a lil breeze of layla for ya. Excuse the performance a bit for my acoustic really needs a setup... the humiditychange or smthg created an action that is about 8mm on 12th... almost unplayable, but still with the help of the chirping crickets, a descending cellphone and the italian air force you might get the hang of it

  4. Those slides on both beginner songs keep getting me tripped up. And then there's this. After failing at SA a few times I at least wanted to post something. I think there is quite a bit of room for improvement in this one. And it's so much fun to play!

  6. The Lead/Rhythm beginner selection is still to hard for me to play. So I tried it with Bass for my first time here in competition. EDIT: Wohooo..I made it to platinum

  7. Managed to get 100% here.. Those slides here... missed them every time... This one is so fun... but rhythm changes are tricky... few more playthroughs... 100% bon 1st try... I had the time to play it only twice, but could do better... This one is so fast and cool to play on all paths... also got 78 on rhythm, did not take a screenshot though... not worth it

  11. Sorry, but noticed it now. You played the wrong version of this song! This is not my CDLC (linked to in the first post), but an older CDLC that has incomplete bass chart - doesn't include chart for the last parts of this composition.

  14. Hi @ Cole245 also @ GetTheLedOut and @ Grillsen Well I spent a lot of time charting Black Sabbath - Megalomania Bass (2013 Remaster). The Bass Path is the one you (Cole245) suggester the chart by Hettmar on YouTube in C# tuning. The Alternate Bass Path is what I have been charting in E standard with Tab and by ear. There are sections in both charts, I have not figured out yet, it is still a work in progress, but a lot of it is finished I think. I haven't even test played them yet. Plan on playing them within the next couple days. I even charted the Lyrics Path my favorite phrase in the Lyrics, I'm really digging schizophrenia the best of the earth. I chased my soul in the fires of hell. I think I am having a flash back to the 70's and Trippin' after repeatedly listening to this song over and over, charting this thing. 15. I'm glad we have a chance to play this epic composition in the championship. I really spent a lot of time creating this CDLC, so I hope everything is right. Last play - I did a little worse than the first or second try when I tested finished CDLC, but I didn't make a screenshot then.

  17. A couple notes: First, this week is meant to highlight the charting efforts of our organizers. So every song this week was charted by one of us. Second, we talked about occasionally doing a special category for a song/album that is too long to include in a regular category but isn't necessarily a true God of Guitar/Rhythm/Bass difficulty. This week was a great chance to try that out on @ Mikson 's epic charting effort, Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts I - IX. Maybe we'll do more of these in the future. Let us know what you think. Enjoy and as usual please let us know if you have feedback on the difficulties (and in this case, the charts).

  19. What a week... I have focused on my class songs only... other classes just played 1 or 2 passes just to test myself... Class results 1st. I can't get middle section right.. always few misses there... In this one.. that bloody slide at the beginning and before outro... i was getting a strike almost every time here... and it feels like half of all the notes in whole song is in these to sections... This one was a huge surprise for me. I did not expect a musical song to be interesting to play and not boring. I could not master it though... there was always a part (every time I played it was a different part) that i got my fingers tangled and couldn't go back on track without loosing few notes. Great play.. I love fast parts... It took me few tries to master this one though, other classes: in Lead Summertime Blues - beginners luck ... was not able to get above 92% any more... 1st try was 94% and I did not take a screenshot as it looked so easy Rhythm: only 1 try The same for these two: strange chords... Bass: 1st try the best again... i tried 3-4 more times and never got as much again

  20. @Rodman Again, I apologize for taking so long on this song. It has been a stressful couple of months and my time has not been my own. For my version of 99 Red Balloons I stuck to the Goldfinger version in Rocksmith. The tempo changes were troublesome, so I eventually just played it to the song. I did the lead and rhythm guitar parts, panning two different rhythm takes to left and right. My daughter sang most of it in English of course. For the one German verse in the Goldfinger version I had a special guest star. My wife's niece has been living with us because her college was all virtual last year. She was supposed to study abroad in Germany, but obviously Covid cancelled that, so she chose to study in a different state instead and came to stay with us. She kindly lent her voice and German to our efforts. For the bass part, I finally talked my son into playing on one of my recordings! He wasn't comfortable playing it full speed, so I had him play it in riff repeater at 80%, then sped it up in Reaper. The parts aren't all as tight as I would like, but having my son join in was worth it! The picture is from my son's 2nd birthday party. We blow up a whole lot of balloons, and got them charged with static electricity and stuck them to the ceiling. We probably had 99 balloons!

  23. Hey guys, nice song that you are discussing here. The bassline is very demanding and not easy to transcode by ear. The spelling of the YT Video Tabs from Hettmar is absolutely correct. The same version can be seen on Songterr. Some corrections and adjustments to RS have yet to be made. here I quickly corrected the intro with small changes. In the video above my correction and below Hettmar's tabs. The speed is reduced to 90. It is better to let the audio run slower between 75 and 90 is often a good speed for that. LINK: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7prr955v2fdh3tj/bandicam 2021-07-21 19-46-37-046.mp4?dl=0 Here a Live Cover version near to the "Hettmar" Tabs Link: and here special cover from a Unkown private Bedroom Basslpayer all well and good, but we need an acceptable version for Rocksmith I can continue to work on the bassline and present my correction here. Of course, it can also happen that new errors are incorporated. So it would be good if other bass players also cast their votes in order to then present a really good bassline for Rocksmith and close to the original ... All the best!

  27. Ya boi injured his index finger (on the picking hand), so scores will sub optimal for a bit. Been holding my pick between thumb and middle finger for guitar and fingering bass with middle and ring finger. Edit: All good now, need to redo some scores lol Played lead first by accident, oh well. Nice song. Pretty fun 99 would be nice, have to try SA later

  30. Improvements: As for the bass, I can't come close to the result I achieved on the first try. I achieve 98.8% back then, but that was learn a song, now it's hard for me to get over 98%. @ jellisjenius - your score over 99% seems unachievable for me, really great score!

  31. Nice week. Class... I had a huge issue with chords recognition... it was like hit and miss... i am playing in tempo and i was getting feedback like: perfect; perfect; perfect; miss; perfect; miss; perfect; perfect; perfect; perfect; perfect; miss.... i was not changing hand shape during this or anything... i tried 2 guitars with the same effect. In this one i played few more times, but always missed a note or two here and there... And now other songs: Did not pay too much attention to it: This one is so much fun... I suck in it but still... This one still too difficult...

  37. Dres - (polish) 1. tracksuit- in this song especially in the meaning shell suite. they were extremely popular in 90s and early 2000s. 2. casual, lad - shell suites were considered as a "uniform" of these groups, so they were called "dres" by their clothes. they often worn bold and driven BMWs. check the video on custom forge . this explains a lot also full lyrics translation available here: https://www.tekstowo.pl/piosenka,big_cyc,dres.html Big Cyc were known of their quizzical expression of all social and political standards thus this song. it is not only about tracksuite, but also about casuals.

  40. This contest has introduced me to MCR, I was in HS when these guys came around. I really looked down on their music because of their fanbase (didn't like emos -- sorry to any emos in here). That wasn't fair to them, there's been some of their music in previous weeks and I liked that material as well as this week's song. Way harder than I thought it'd be.....
