  1. As always my sightreads for this week! Cool band, cool tune. I only knew the song in the official RS list before this one. Not a Ska Fan but it had some cool riffs and some nice solo parts! Far From my Favorite Accept Era/Song, my favs are the amazing Balls To The Walls and Restless and Wild albums. Although I think all the post-2010 stuff isn't far behind some great riffs and Wolf is one of the most criminally underrated players! Great to see God of Guitar is back. Love the addition! More songs equals more fun! Although this is way beyond my skill level! I just saw the change so the AC/DC track will be played soon!

  2. Just stopping in to say, Amorphis is fantastic and is very well represented with quality CDLC by @ albatross213 and others. This song is actually from their earlier catalog (90s) but IMO their music has continued to improve and some of my favorites from them are in their last few albums. My laptop died for good last week so I missed out on Week 487. After some wrangling with my Steam Deck I think I have RS working with CDLC again now so hopefully I'm back this week.

  3. Cool song. I like vibes from NFO. Remember testing this over a year ago, when I was creating a rain theme week. Kult is one of my favorite Polish bands. Lots of great song lyrics and music over 40 years of activity. I'm not a grunge fan either, but some songs I really like. For example Nutshell from the same album, I've played many, many times (ODLC). This song is ok, quite similar vibes. Oh, another insanely fast song, but technically manageable. Good week!

  4. I have finally found my way back here. After getting accustomed to bass again in December and a well timed surprise christmas gift I spent the past 2 and a half months playing almost every song from previous championship weeks. And now I have a new focus each week. Probably going to try to improve my intermediate score but I don't know if I'll get it any higher.

  6. My first entry as a new member in the advance bass class. I will be uploading my efforts on the specials song later after i've worked on it for a bit.

  7. It's exactly 8.75, which rounds out to 8.5. Not hard enough for a 9, needs more sweeps. But srsly, it's in my wheelhouse, so I can accept that my opinion might not be objective. On a bluegrass-banjo song with an 8 rating I'd probably get ~70% and rate it a 10. What I'm saying is objective rating is HARD. Also, it gets a lot easier if you change the fingering to reduce shifting. The chart makes it look harder than it is. But then again it's a matter of personal preference, maybe someone likes the position changes. I don't know how they played it originally. @ Bottledpat12 Y U NO post a score?

  11. My scores for the two advanced bass songs and I had a go at the masterclass bass. I have only played these songs twice so I need more practice this week but I'm not sure if i'm out of my depth in advanced class as there is a lot of very good players!

  12. Another week, another time for sightreads! Very nice song. One of the best new bands with an 80s sound. Bjorn ''speed'' strid from Soilwork on vocals and the bassist of Arch Enemy so very interesting to see their love for a different genre that they usually perform. My favorite album is probably Aeromantic (1) by them. Great album. Never heard of this one, but that is no surprise them being Polish. An interesting song that is nice and easy to play. I am not a big grunge fan so this song is not really for me. However some great solo work! Love the main riff on this one. Out my skill level especially to make it sound as intended. Still, a lot of fun to play with a challenging solo.

  15. For me the mc lead is a solid 9, maybe more (and I'd already played the song during one selection). I like the song. I didn't understand pretty anything and I RR a lot the main riff, getting without errors at max 70% I don't know how a person could play it with such speed and precision, one of the most difficult this year without a big solo, but everything is so tight. Technique must be perfect My hands were smoking at the end

  16. Bass I think all the songs this week have nice bass charts, well suited to the classes.

  17. From testing Not my style but good to play, easy technical, but quite fast. I really like both Morrissey's solo songs and his earlier ones with The Smiths. I liked the earlier Amorphis songs we played here better, but there's a nice chart here. Unfortunately, I have very bad chord recognition (which is not difficult), which spoils the final score a lot... Yes, this is crazy. I rate this 8.5 (in the sheet was 8), because generally there is no very difficult solo in the song, which is often the case in masterclass songs. But the whole song is very fast and quite technical and if Bottledpat says this is 9 I don't even think to argue with it.

  18. My sightreads for this week. Fun easy song! Great album by blink. Not my best performance on a sightread but I enjoyed the song. Awesome song, I need to check Amorphis out this was a great tune. And my favorite this week. A very underrated Danish Trash and technical metal band. They deserve more recognition.

  19. Bass first sight reads nice to see some blink, i think this song had been in the competition before cause it didnt let me add it to spoti. regardless had fun the chorus is nice , i feel like ive heard it before but i dont remember the other parts. nice scales i didnt know what was going on in some parts which was fun.

  20. I don't consider myself to be at the higher ends of the advanced scale. I'm far from it I would define myself as 6/10 on the championship scale, i.e. songs rated 6/10 (if rated correctly) I can play quite well, but 7/10 are often too difficult for me at least in some parts. With players from the first 4 places in the table, I don't really have a chance to compete, because their skills are such a strong 7, maybe 7.5, they are somewhere between advanced and masterclass. And so now we have a solstice of higher classes - adv and master, and a small number of competitors in lower classes. This is unlikely to change, because hardly anyone starts their adventure with RS from scratch.

  24. Sightreads Rocksmith don't want me to play today for some reason, it's not detecting my notes correctly Forgot to take a screenshot for the first try, it's okay (also great song) Not sure if i will have time this week to improve, but i think it's a decent score Got a bit bored mid song, but that solo was great! I have no idea what was going on in this song, i can't play this but it was fun trying it

  27. From testing... This was fun: This is overall enjoyable and not too difficult but there is one tricky extended string skipping section 2/3 of the way through that is more Adv level: If you can get down the repeated octave run it's not too bad: Hoo boy...this earns the 8.5-9 difficulty IMO:

  29. So I will have a new week up sometime today, but I'll ask for your patience...it's probably going to be a good while as I've only recently gotten RS back up and running. I'll give a heads up when I'm closer to having it ready.
