A couple notes:

First, this week is meant to highlight the charting efforts of our organizers. So every song this week was charted by one of us.

Second, we talked about occasionally doing a special category for a song/album that is too long to include in a regular category but isn't necessarily a true God of Guitar/Rhythm/Bass difficulty. This week was a great chance to try that out on @ Mikson 's epic charting effort, Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond Parts I - IX. Maybe we'll do more of these in the future. Let us know what you think.

Exciting to win Roxette, as mentioned in the last thread it was the number one song in America when I was born. So it feels right! Thanks to all competitors and organizers! Looking forward to digging into this week's tracks.

Sorry about the link mixup, all - I'll fix it in the OP. And yes, 21st Century Gentleman is well worth playing on bass as well. I'll put the bass part in our "spare arrangements" tab on the selection list so it can be used properly in a future championship.

Ya boi injured his index finger (on the picking hand), so scores will sub optimal for a bit.
Been holding my pick between thumb and middle finger for guitar and fingering bass with middle and ring finger.
Edit: All good now, need to redo some scores lol

Played lead first by accident, oh well.

int lead: I'm sorry to whoever likes this song but this is probably the most boring song i've ever heard or played, and it just goes on and on.. at some point I got scared it will never end and I will forever be stuck playing 7-9-7-9 on the g string. Ugh.

not meant as offense, just personal taste but I really dislike all the songs (other than taking back sunday but i dont see a point in participating in the begginer class) this week so I will see you guys next week, have fun!

Oooh...both good choices.  Lets try Layla, I've been wanting to work on that one for a while.  

But keep Money for Nothing in you back pocket, I love that one!

I'm glad we have a chance to play this epic composition in the championship. I really spent a lot of time creating this CDLC, so I hope everything is right.

Last play - I did a little worse than the first or second try when I tested finished CDLC, but I didn't make a screenshot then.

My brain hurts.  so beginner song is in Eb but then rocksmith gives you the chords as they are in name and not where your playing on the guitar

Suppose it will force me to sight read better and stop just looking for the chord names lol. .

This was so much fun to play on bass. I didn't go for score yet, but had fun playing it. And really enjoyed that something so epic is in the range of a regular player. I only tried bass. I am sure lead is way beyond me for now - but bass is doable for mere mortals.
