First attempt. So uh, what's the deal with the part with the vibrato on the low string? Is this one not possible without a whammy bar?

Alright, finally a score worth posting.  No weird "miss" or "late" notes for me this week.

I was feeling spunky and decided to try the intermediate song (which didn't go so bad I think)

Can somebody remind me, what am I supposed to do with the light colored Xs over open strings in the lane?

That's a palm mute, right?  Keep your strumming hand touching the strings while you strum across all of them, so you get a clicking sound.

edit: I was wrong, looks like the white ones are for fret-hand mute.

I was thinking it was a fret hand mute, but I don't know how you'd do that for "open" strings. I guess I'm just laying my index finger down on them and strumming up, but I haven't gotten it to reliably register it yet.

Yeah I have trouble getting mutes to register all the time - it seems like Rocksmith is really picky about the amount of pressure you apply.  Maybe that's true about the way to do it correctly outside the game, I wouldn't know 🙂  It looks like you play that same B add4 chord shape twice in a row,  and the same strings are muted - I would just keep the chord fingers in place but let off the pressure for one strum.

Yeah, the only trickiness comes from the first chord having open B and E strings, so one has to actively move to mute them vs just letting off on the barre or something simpler. Oh well! I'll get it eventually!

Oh I see what you're saying now.  The box highlight threw me off on which strings are muted.  I'm helping, I swear! 😄  I bet the barre is the way to go - mute everything but only strum those strings?

So, for Beginner Lead, we can do "Make Up your mind" CDLC created by Sharkman828 OR we can do "Make Up Your Mind" CDLC created by Crossbolt242.
For Beginner Rhythm, we do "Make Up Your Mind" CDLC created by Crossbolt242.
For Beginner Bass, we do "Make Up Your Mind" CDLC created by Sharkman828?

And when I download the songs and pop them in my CDLC folder and open up the game, "Make Up Your Mind" CDLC created by Sharkman828 comes up with exactly that title.  The CDLC created by Crossbolt242 shows up in the game as "Made Up Your Mind."

Not being nit-picky. Just writing this for my own notes as I want to try beginner lead, rhythm and bass again. And maybe try intermediate bass if I can get beginner bass down.

"Made Up Your Mind" is just a mistake in the title, but this is the same song as "Make Up Your Mind".

BTW, I would like to remind everyone that you can submit your song suggestions to play in the championship here: Song Selection List

We especially need more beginner songs, so if you know any you can add them.

I agree that these frethand mutes are problematic. You have to play the whole chord and hope that the game does not count misses.

This is maybe 2.5, what do you think?

It's a rather poorly rated Purple's album, but I like to play this song. Good CDLC.
