What a strange week for the bass. Beginners were pretty easy... until:

WTF?! But with a little thinking... start on blue 4. Everything is in a typical scale (can't remember what) and you don't need to move hand around. 🙂 After a short practice of this part everything was fine.

Of to the intermediate. There will be a bit more practice, but it's possible. 🙂

Then I tried the next level... that's a bit away from my kind of music. I know it's healthy to try other genres... but jazz... Oh well... I'll have a look later on, but it seems quite difficult... for me at least. 😉

Wish I could play as much during the week as others! I might actually Ace a song one day LOL!!! God I Love Music Tho!!! Is My collection small? I have over 1500 songs dwnld.... How many do Ya'll have?

I've got around 3K active and a few hundred extra disabled through cfsm that I keep to reupload if the link dies.
Takes a good while to load on my hdd so I make a cup of tea while I wait. Sucks for testing songs or mods tho.

It says 2177 songs right now (with the xmas songs disabled) ... Thats all the songs from the Championships from the beginning plus ..... oh no! 300 purchased DLCs 🤣

@Rodman I finally got Symphony of Destruction laid down.  Wow...you picked a tough one!  I really struggled with consistency playing it fast, and after seeing the spectacular job that you did I realized that I was outclassed.  So, I tried to make it my own instead.  I went acoustic and slowed it down with a swing.  I also tried out the slide I got, even using it for the solo.  Lets see, I recorded it straight through, then recorded a second track with the slide parts.  I laid the solo down separately as well.  Then I put the vocals on.  I am embarrassed to say that I left the metronome running while I recorded the guitar part, so is audible in some parts.

And yes, the photo was taken last week, we still have snow 🙂

 

Next up, as we discussed, Nena - 99 Red Balloons for me, 99 Luftballons for you.  Mine in English, yours in the original German.  Our respective daughters on vocals is mandatory 🙂  Cool?

Really swingy, so slow, soo groovy. So dark. Well i think that is really a propper song for you to do when grabbing a guitar at some friends place or somewhere, you really made that yours. Bravo,

If i ever shoot a movie - you will be there in a scene sitting somewhere in the back playing exactly that.

 

Nena - of course. Thats gonna be a party.

A bit more practice. It gave a minor improvement on the beginners song (that was yesterday):

And with two days of focus on those pesky difficult parts of the intermediate, I've come a big step closer to mastering the song.

I'll have a few tries more on this song to get it right.

I've looked at the jazz song again. And I must say... it's pretty far away from my capabilities. 😞 I have a feeling, that there is a very big step from intermediate to the advanced level.
