  2. I hope this is enough to keep my die-hard status in Advanced: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKYy1QaHl0RklWbjQ/view?usp=sharing I fell in work during the week, landing quite heavily on my ring finger, bending it right back. Luckily, it's my right hand, and it's not broken so I've made a bit of a recovery and I've been able to play today, but it does hurt! Unfortunately, I'm right handed, so I can't do much else - but I don't really care, I'm just glad I didn't land on my left hand.

  31. Hi, folks. The latest hotfix (r1404) is in the first post. Changes are as follows: *Fixed a bug where using Beat>Add, Beat>Delete or "Beat>Delete anchor" where a non #/4 time signature and the accurate TS song property were in effect would move beats into the wrong positions. *Improved the accuracy of the grid snap logic. *Fixed the secondary piano roll logic so that when swapping piano rolls, EOF's title bar reflects the correct active difficulty. *Corrected the Track>Rename function to begin with the input field empty if the track doesn't have a custom name already. *Fixed a GP import bug where chords that contained both tie notes and normal notes would be imported as all normal notes. It now will import only the normal notes as intended, making the import look much closer to the original tablature. *Improved GP import so that tie notes having a different strum direction definition than the connected note won't cause it to import as a separate linked note. If it was intended to be a separate played note, it would be authored as such in the GP file. *Fixed a GP import bug where slide notation may not be imported in some circumstances.

  32. To make things super easy and quick for me... I usually find a tab off of UltimateGuitar (1st Choice) or Songsterr (2nd Choice). Bass charting should be very simple. Usually, if you line the bass tab up in EoF, the guitar parts should be pretty spot on. What I usually use to map out the song's BPM's in a program called Sonic Visualizer (there should be a tutorial somewhere on this site on using that). I will then put it into EoF, add the Leading Silence (5000 milliseconds), and then add the tab. Sometimes the Sonic Visualiser ends up giving you double the bpm you need, thus being useless for you, or it'll be precise. If it's precise, then following these steps, your tab should be all synced up. When looking for a tone, import the tone from another dlc (using the import function at the bottom of the Rocksmith Toolkit in the Tones section) with a similar sounding tone. Just a little of advice on how I complete mine. Practice (and time) makes perfect, and there are many guides and tutorials here on this site that will greatly help you out. If you have any questions, first look for a forum/post, and if you can't find it, you can ask me, and I'll try to help you out.

Björn 'Speed' Strid is the vocalist (singer of Soilwork)) - Rise to Fall (Spanish metalcore) - Mors Principium Est (Finnish death metal, epic guitar solo on the video) - Heart Of A Coward (UK Djent) - Hacktivist (Djent &Rap, they play in Drop E) - Erra (USA ) - Dead By April (Sweden Metalcore) - Caliban (German Metalcore) - Breakdown Of Sanity (Swiss metalcore) - The Interbeing (Danish Metalcore) There are some CDLC:s from Caliban, Raunchy, Diablo, Erra, Dead By April, Bleed The Sky, Breakdown Of Sanity, Mors Principium Est. Scar Symmetry is coming, at least someone is making them what I've seen on the forums. At some point when I have time, I'll start making some of these that are missing.

  47. I used to have an Ibanez RGT42DX with an FR style trem back in 2007. Up here it cost me $700 after haggling with several mom/pop "music" stores. For a beginner not a bad guitar to learn on. Set neck, net lock, jumbo frets, thin U neck, fine tuning adjustors. Needed tuning up about every hour or so...... if you never used the trem, even for a bit of vibrato. One dive bomb and you were re tuning instantly. I'm a firm believer that serious commitment into learning a skill requires good or great tools. IE a passion for playing music. Once I knew that I was on the road to playing the rest of my life, after struggling for several years and making slow but enjoyable progress, then it was time to get proper instruments and gear. I did over a year of research and bought an ESP Horizon with Original FR trem, in early 2010. It cost me $2500.00 and believe me when I say, they are f'ing amazing. The guitar was setup perfect out of the box, and the trem is still perfect to this day. I've been using the same set of Elixir nanoweb strings for over a year. Once the strings were broken in and stretched out, which was very little time, compared to other brands, I rarely have had to tune the strings at all. I sit down to practice and check the tuning with my Snark. I check it. It rarely needs fine adjustment, except when the inside humidity changes, since its been a long and bitter winter up here. This is a vid of Chappers on Utube back in 2009 playing the style of Horizon that I ended up purchasing, largely based on videos of him playing the hell of them them and loving it. http://youtu.be/17HoA2HPgU4 The only guitars IMHO that are better than the Japanese ESP's, are PRS. I had a 2011 Studio for 6 months, then had to sell because of life stuff. That one cost $3500.00, and was clearly a superb instrument, and honestly, beyond my ability to play at its potential. PRS designed and makes all the guitar and hardware electronics, or at least used to. Once you determine that guitar is now part of your life, and the commitment is there, do your research and buy quality that will last you a lifetime. You will never regret it.

  49. If it says Focusrite, RME, or Apollo you can't really go wrong. Just whatever is in your budget. Amazon is good for finding guide prices. I use a Tascam interface, but that's just because it has the input count that I needed for the cash. Directly injecting guitars (plugging them straight into the interface) works quite well, and some of the modern programs can make it sound amazing (I use Guitar Rig Pro 5) but, if you want that amazing sound then you really need to mic up a cab. By all means record as many separate lines as you can at once e.g. while playing the guitar record the cab using a mic, record the line out at the back of the amp too. Then run the line out through a guitar amp program to "add" to the sound of the cab, or do amazing things like add a slight delay and pan them left and right.
