Hey everyone, just kind of an update, I'll be returning in about two weeks, college semester is almost done :D (and boy was it brutal) I'll lurk around to talk, but I have nowhere near to having any time to play at the moment. I announced this here since this is where about 95% of my posts are in, and I love the championship, and I miss you guys, I really do... To all the newcomers, welcome :)

I settled for switching to palm muting at the end which is really flipping awkward for me but using my bird flipping finger on my left hand wasn't producing a mute but was producing more misses and my hand just doesn't wrap round enough to get my thumb over the top... despite having a dislocatey left thumb :) This song's actually really flippin' easy... a low intermediate I reck'. 4-5 perhaps on difficulty.

I've been observing the championship for weeks in the shadow, never feeling the guts to participate, but the songs this week are so great! I've been given a try and beginner/intermediate are really fun to play. I guess I'll enter this week if I find the time to improve my first scores :p For the moment, 79% on beginner rythm, 87% on intermediate rythm, 64% on beginner lead, 64% on intermediate lead... definitely some place for improvment. BTW, thanks nicholede for the Enter Sandman version, really nice tabbing.

Beginner Lead - 99.36%, 213 streak Beginner Rhythm - 100%, 238 streak Though I screwed one note that RS decided to accept. So I'll give it another try. Firstly rhythm felt harder, but after getting used to it, it's way easier. Intermediate Lead - 95.1%, 155 streak This E bends on 3rd fret... Meaty :) Advanced Rhythm - 85%, 62 streak That's tough.

I messed that part up myself so I might not be the best person to give advice, but... If I'm playing finger style I usually just lightly rest a spare finger on the string near where it's being fretted (or near the nut in the case of an open string). So for the riff at the end of the song I'd play it by fretting the A string with my middle finger with my index finger resting on the E string. It's not perfect, but it works for me for simpler riffs where muted notes come up. @@albatross213 & @@NoonyDeloony ... I've been trying to mute the E string with my left thumb. My best score on Warp Asylum bass so far is 95.08%, longest streak 176

I think there should be a "generate fret hand positions for all tracks and all difficulties" option. That way I don't have to switch to all my tracks and tell it to generate hand positions.

yeah, i do still have the older version of it. I was kinda too lazy to download it yet haha. While the song itself is really cool, the exciting part of the bass line is way to short ;D The first time i played it i was like "thats no MC bass line" while i played that first part, and then HOLY SHIT WHATS THAT in the middle, hahaha. But nonetheless still kinda easy if you got the hang of it.

Here's hoping you can play with yourself again soon :D Incidentally, I too am a lefty that plays guitar right handed. I didn't try out both ways and decide on playing that way, it's just the first guitar I was given was strung right handed and I practiced on it, and now it feels totally natural. Leftys FTW!!!

Niiiiiiiiiiice - you are gonna have a lot of fon with those strings, i guarantee, Since i got my LTD-JK 1 which (without checkin the specs) looks pretty close it has shown the Gibson SG and the BCRich the places and clearly become my Nr1 guitar

The fact that someone is going to post pictures of matchstick men is amazing! I have been waiting for a long time to be able to play that on rocksmith.

To clarify, I had nothing against Fishbone (well, it's not in my taste, but they're not bad, even if I don't like that kind of a music). What I meant was, that we're no longer allowing one participant's selection in the same class in back to back weeks. And many times after we played Fishbone, next week RNG was giving me Fishbone again (I wanted to give you a hint that it could have been more frippchen's selections).

@ By the way, I really digged into your selections that I actually played. Mostly because them bass lines where amazing, but also the songs where catchy! I agree with @@Choaralaone , never heard of most of them but they were defenetly fun to play. Remember I almost got away with Party at Ground Zero week :D

You don't need that one, it can be different dlc, but then it gets complicated with changing id of the cdlcs, so it's best to have Cherub Rock and save yourself work. So technically you don't need that particular one.

I payed for my cherub. So its not free for everyone. Also. You can use Cdlcs without it buts it takes more work.

They really have so many choices? And every week when I'm selecting songs I'm like "we had Fishbone last week, I won't select it this week" and I'm generating new random number :lol: Having selections in all classes helps. of course we have since were participating since more than 30 weeks regularly and updating the SSL if any slot is free. Some guys just came out if their songs are chosen...AND were almost winning, and somewhere I heard that the winner have advantage when songs were chosen. And that's what I do before add new songs to the list, I check them before for the difficulty and for issues that we don't have to change the song during the week. And one DreamTheatre song should be counted double or threetime cause their lenghts. edit: if you guys don't like my choices I will take them off Noo don't remove them. It's good to have choice. It's not personal if someone doesn't like a song and it's good to see and experience some "off the wall" charts :D even if I can't play them with my slabs of ham fists ;)

@@firekorn I would like to see the feature implemented in such a way that the original artwork file is preserved in backup or unchanged so that you could apply this in toolkit or after and it would make no difference.

As Capk suggests, It's best to not worry about permanently adding fret hand positions until the end of the authoring process, because the appropriate set of hand positions can change depending on what gets added to the chart. EOF just warns that they aren't manually defined as a way to let the author know. The automated fret hand positions should generally be pretty well usable, but if the author wants more control over the highlighted lanes and perhaps even the camera itself, he/she can either manually place fret hand positions or have EOF auto-generate the positions and edit those. I worry about omitting warnings unless a "Finalize" property is set on the project, because that's another thing somebody could forget to change.
