  11. So the Joe Satriani song on bass was a TON harder to me than either the intermediate or advanced bass parts. I'm pretty sure the only reason I scored so high on Surfing with the Alien was because Rocksmith couldn't tell I had missed the notes since it was so many in sequence of the same note. 27. After receiving numerous requests from people to post the customs that I have been using for experimentation with Violin on Rocksmith, I have uploaded them. If others have created customs for violin, feel free to post links on this thread. Video links might be useful too, if available. WARNING: The BASS chart on these songs is for a REAL VIOLIN! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TUNE A BASS TO MATCH THE REQUIRED TUNING Tuning instructions: Do NOT use emulated bass. The custom is already coded to expect an instrument tuned to G,D,A,E in the 4th-6th octave, which equates to guitar notes on the 10th fret of A, 12th fret of D, 14th fret of G, and 17th fret of B (12th of E). 32. This is what your tuning window in EoF should look like for B Standard tuning (7 string with the highest string dropped): http://puu.sh/hijRX/21fbe5e972.png/ss%20%282015-04-18%20at%2006.39.30%29.png And the tuning that is set in EoF, is the tuning that the song will use. Setting a different tuning in the toolkit will only lead to getting a different tuning in the menu, but not in the song itself. Though I believe in the later toolkits, this setting is actually ignored.

Bass MC is always too difficult and the motivation to play starts fading away when I know there's no chance to get a decent score, much less getting a place in the top 3. If not, that's ok too, I'll eventually get the necessary scores to drop a class.

  35. I played version 1.7 on bass, the scroll speed is much better now and the tone's volume is also much more enjoyable. However I found the tone to be too agressive this time, too distorted. I think you could use the bass tone from U2's "Where The Streets Have No Name", it has a good rock feel but not too distorted.

  38. The "funny" thing is that this dicussion come over and over an yet the same problem appear, the criteria and the man power needed to get that done. I've stop testing things in my own time because things don't change as much as i would have expected. I would love to pass on my knowledge about CDLC and music and that's why i'm open to people asking about tone creation (only visible for charter) and i would also accept any proposition of collaboration on any CDLC (we do a good job with teinashu on those meets metal cdlc) but nobody seems to care so far. Non-working CDLC can already be hiden/deleted if they are reported to the admin (it's a simple click) and i don't think we need or can do anything more than that at the moment.

  44. I got an acoustic Guitar as christmas present from my wife when I was 29 years old. Now I am 31 years old. I Didn't find any good books or structured way of learning the guitar online that I liked before I discovered justinguitar.com . I have been following justinguitar on and off for 2 years. Sometimes it was hard to keep motivation up and I had periods where I played everyday and other times when I didn't play at all for 3-4 months. I'm at beginner course stage 6 now. I have tendencies to quit or give up things I start with after a while, so I'm glad that I have still stuck with it. I always wanted to try out rocksmith 2014 but didn't have a electric guitar. 1 month ago I bougth a cheap electric guitar and got rocksmith right away. It is a fun way to practise and keep motivation and it compliments justinguitar in some way. I just heard about the championship and it sounds like a good idea for keeping motivation and getting better.

  46. Bandfuse customs are pretty new, SFenton was the first guy publically working on it. It's likely that at some point that ALL Rocksmith customs could be ported to Bandfuse. Bandfuse isn't on PC though, so it requires a hacked console to play customs, so it probably won't be as popular as Rocksmith for customs.

As I stated on my videos, my real name is Robb Nichols and I have been working on this project for my wife and myself. I share the knowledge freely as I have no rights to produce the content for profit, as Ubisoft owns the content. The educational copyright clause applies only when you're not profiting from it, and even then it is a gray area. I'd love for Ubisoft to take notice and offer me a job though. :-D

  49. As I mentioned to you earlier: amazing. I am attempting to get my violin set up like you did. Just experiencing some tuning issues. I PM'd ... you about it. I think you are the pioneer of a whole new movement: bass, cello, viola, violin, ukelele. Perhaps we don't even need to limit ourselves to string instruments. Maybe wind instruments are possible. Imagine playing Baker Street on the Saxophone in RS. As I have shown you I have gotten the acoustic guitar to work in RS. Plays with 100% accuracy!!! Here it is again. Remember I suck at guitar still so the misses are only due to my poor playmanship. Imagine even a harp. I swear I'd rent or buy a harp just to try that. The possibilities are endless! Imagine the piano! Woh, piano, that is huge!!! Once again brilliant work Daikano! I see a near future where there is a section on CF dedicated to "Other Instruments in Rocksmith". This is huge!

  50. I got a chance to play BandFuse and 2014 back to back and gave them both a serious try. (I still don't have 2014, I'm more happy with 2012, YMMV). I played it enough to get get 5 stars on a song, 100 note streak, 100% a song on medium, and tried to be open minded about it. My problem with BandFuse as compared to Rocksmith is that it emphasizes the picking hand instead of the fretting hand. Their notation is about the timing of things like bends, and the right strings to hit. The notation for the fret hand is possibly OK for people really into Tab, but I found it impossible to play something that I did not already know or understand. After a little while for example, a 1/3 notation on the top string is clearly a power chord, but when I was playing a new song, and I'd get a 2/4 on the A string, it would blow my mind. With Rocksmith by contrast, I can know practically nothing about the song, and still be able to get my fret hand in position, because it's showing me exactly where to be. This is why I say Rocksmith emphasizes the fret hand, and I think that's the right emphasis. At least for me, I have waaay more trouble with where I am on the neck, and what string, than I do with picking. So for me at least, I found BandFuse to be a nice novelty, but way to close to being a Rockband 4 with their awful notation. I even have that stupid plastic Mustang guitar, and could never get their notation, even after studying a song. Now for 2014 vs. 2012, for anyone who might be curious: I like 2012 better because it's more 'fun'. The emphasis is different. 2014 is a more serious tool, and more polished and definitely better at actually learning a song. But I'm a dilettante, and don't actually care about all that, I just want to play music and have fun and learn as I have fun. 2012 meets that goal better for me, because I really enjoy playing to that stupid animated crowd. Dunno why.
