And here's a playthrough of In The Name Of God! Having a guitar not designed for metal is becoming a problem haha :D And also...like Mike Portnoy used to say: . . - - - - - . - - . - . . . . . . . - - . - . . - . . . . - . - . . . - . . . . .6 points

Thanks @, that's right. Actually do this job and since about 17 years now, and still love it. I'm sure not getting rich of that, but I love to see the kids growing on their instruments :D yesterday I tried 2 songs for adding to the list, but both had too many issues, wrong charting and RR without sections, reported that and now waiting for a fix by the charters. That's a main reason why I prefer my own customs. I'm sure their be ok, and if any issues appear I can fix that quickly by myself without doing the whole from scratch. The other reason of course is my personally taste :)6 points

Hey all, I'm taking a leave of absence for about a month. (I'll be around to monitor, etc). I have a wrist surgery scheduled today @ noon EST. Obviously I won't be able to play guitar, type, do basic functions for awhile until I get my cast removed and my hand is healed. (FYI: I have a cyst on top of a nerve on my left wrist which is my primary hand...and surprisingly I play guitar right handed) Hopefully everything goes perfect. My wonderful staff here at CustomsForge will take care of the site while I am in recovery/rehab. And yes, a month or so without guitar is going to drive me literally insane. My calluses will go away and everything :( But I'm looking forward to even getting better after the surgery! See you all in a month. - Mark edit: I'm recovering now and they said it was huge! Thanks for all of the support. edit2: 4/16/2015 Update New cast and a new prescription of oxy for the pain. I've been dealing with pain but I do have full movement coming back to my hand. I just can't use it for another two weeks and I have a follow up in 4 weeks. Thanks for all your messages. Here's a cast I wish you all could sign for me :) http://i.imgur.com/sIwjoma.jpg3 points

Cheers, guys! I've learnt something tonight again (Tookit-wise anyway). And it's probably the shittiest qualifying score ever, but hey, it's my qualifying score, and it's my level, so here you go: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKUmhzbHJhN3RxamM/view?usp=sharing And I even quite like the song now it's giving me all the notes to play. Well, maybe… ;)3 points

Well i may be wrong then, but i submitted a score my first time i played this DT song with 500 note streak and 97% accuracy. My scored wasn't submitted because there wasn't any DD. That was posted on page 2. THat was posted on Page 6. So based off of those im 'assuming' it has to have visible 'bars'That means your score doesn't count if you are playing a DD version and get levelled down at any section. But if you play a NDD version you can't get leveled down and it counts. We have very often NDD versions here in the CS. Maybe Nachos Version was DD with an issue that doesnt show any sections, just like missing showlight. Well i apologize guys, I'm new to the championship and just basing my opinion on what i saw from the other posts.3 points

Here is my current collection! I got the Yamaha from a teenager off of craigslist who NEVER played it, and was in perfect condition..Payed a whole $25 and some xbox 360 games for it. Minus the smudge marks its bass-icly (xD) brand new and a perfect sounding slap bass...*shutters* http://i.imgur.com/XxyT4XX.jpg My main girl is Shirley aka my Ibanez, i play her in every situation. Heavy gauged strings for those Dream Theater solos and all around awesome sounding when im playing standard songs as well. Not a very great slap bass (due to the strings) but she gets the job done. I obtained her from my best friend who never played her and she sat in the corner collecting dust. Nobody puts Shirley in the corner. So for my 21st birthday he gave it to me. http://i.imgur.com/LPgKsHX.jpg Last but not least, is my ibanez guitar. A co-worker of mine has at least 20 different guitars, so one day i told him i wanted to learn how to play and he let me choose from a small bundle and said $50 bucks for any of these...I was like a kid in the candy store i didn't know which one to choose, i've never played guitar before so i attempted to try all of them out and this one just caught my eye the most. http://i.imgur.com/9U7bLOD.jpg http://i.imgur.com/SEDgNf4.jpg http://i.imgur.com/usqZThJ.jpg3 points

Finally reached my goal of 90+ and even got higher than i thought was possible with my skill level. (sure it took 20plays in lead, 6 in rhythm and 3 in bass) http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k228/maztor42/Rocksmith%20championship%202014/Date%20rape%209288_zpsfo97mhlj.jpg Your song selections may be weird and not everyone likes them, but you can sure learn a lot from them. And they usually grows on me while i play them. So i thank you for them.3 points

Am I still on time? 82% on MC Lead here. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539645482726670432/7973AA2F6A699095F96BA25D24E599975443AAAD/ I will say I don't feel that anywhere near good enough to play these kind of songs, not by a long shot. If I were playing the song without the music it would sound absolutely horrible, and I can't play any solos for the life of me. I can play the power chords and most riffs fine though, so at least there's that :P EDIT: WHOOPS, didn't read that there was a song change, downloaded the original song at the start of the week and only just got around to playing it, then realised that the song had changed. Oh well :) EDIT 2: Alright, HERE'S the actual one - MC Lead, 80%, first and likely only attempt. That was a fantastic song though, even if the solos consisted of me repeatedly hitting my guitar in the hopes that some of the right notes would come out. I don't think many did. http://cloud-4.steamusercontent.com/ugc/539645482726825813/D83AA2515AA361AAA34D2500E1E0E64A81A72FCC/2 points

Do you play the $10 Walmart special or an original played by Paul Mccartney?? We want to see em and hear the stories behind them! This was my first guitar that I bought at a second hand store. It's very light and I like the way it feels. I use it mainly for Drop D and lower tunings. It's an Epihphone Special SG. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g34/jshaw0705/IMG_0563_zps70c572b9.jpg I am 35 years old. As such when I was in high school every guitar player and lead singer that you dreamed of being played one of these. I had to have one! I understand that over the years they are pretty much all the same but that wasn't going to do it for me. I had to have an era correct one. I hunted and hunted and finally came across this heavily used, but plays perfect '99 MIM Fender Stratocaster. Found it on Craigslist and had the guy email me the serial number. As soon as I had it confirmed by Fender for year and such, I headed out to get it. 2 hours. I am thrilled to own it though! Totally worth the drive. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g34/jshaw0705/IMG_0564_zps01d5e2ea.jpg1 point

Cub reporter 2groggy reporting back in... I played the Date Rape NDD in SA, once in Easy and once in Hard. Accuracies were similar to what I would get in a regular paly through but the scoreing results were much higher in the Hard setting. I presume that that is why we ignore the scores. So here is my best result, and I don't really expect to improve it by tomorrow. Accuracy 96.15%, Longest Streak 289 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=4229565121 point

Yup, I did the Steam update last night. Just to rule it out, did you make sure that Steam was open and running before starting RSInjector? Also, have you tried just adding a single cDLC that you know works perfectly to see if it still works?1 point

I hate to crap on something that obviously took a lot of effort and looks absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, from my perspective, Ignition is more of a step backwards than forwards. Generally, I use the search page to monitor CF for new listings and seek out bands/songs that might already be available. For my purposes, Ignition is less convenient and less intuitive compared to the old search page. Perhaps other features that I don't use such as follow or track songs have seen a big improvement with Ignition. First, to get the new postings listed first and in bold requires a couple of button clicks. In the old version, this was default. (Perhaps I'm only in love with the new postings in bold at the top because that's all I've ever known. However, I see no benefit to having them listed any other way.) This is a step backward - albeit, one that could probably be fixed. Second, the search capabilities of Ignition, which are the primary function of Ignition.search, is less versatile than the older search page. There's no autoseaching when you partially type in a name. There's no direct link to searching on the band or song title on the main page listings (you have to go into the popup window.) Less versatile, two button clicks instead of one. Overall, the search capabilities are a step backward. Third, the 'bold' used for the new listings isn't as effective at being bold as the previous system. Maybe I have poor eyes but others seemed to be griping about this too. The point of bold is to stand out. It's not. Again, this could probably be fixed. Fourth, it takes four button clicks to turn on and off a song preview compared to two in the old system. Again, this could probably be fixed. Fifth and final, what is the purpose of the popup windows? It looks absolutely beautiful and seems to be the most significant change to the search page. But, there's almost no new information in the window that isn't available on the main listing page. Artist, title, creator, available parts, DD, platforms, tuning are all on the main listings. The only new thing are links to comments, the download button, a link to the record page (which use to be available on the old main search page but may not even be necessary now), creator's comments and a tally of how many have it in their collection. Of all this new information, only the download button is really important. If you want more info, the record page is available with the comments on the same front page. Is the popup window anything more than cosmetic? It does seem faster than opening a new page. I'm not sure if that's because less data must be transferred (most of it is already on my screen to begin with) or my pc operates slower to open the new page. If the popup windows reduces CF's costs by reducing the amount of data transferred between CF's website and our computers, then that's a very credible argument for Ignition. It's one worth putting up with everything else. If there is no cost savings, then where is the benefit of Ignition beside cosmetic? It takes more button mashing to accomplish the same thing as the older system. From a user's perspective, it's a step backward. I hope from CF's perspective it a big financial step forward. With some fixes, Ignition can become as versatile as the previous search page but with a more beautiful look. Without those fixes, it's a small beautiful step backwards.1 point

Everything is working fine for me. Did the update this morning and everything is working just like it did yesterday. Did you let OS X finish optimizing your Mac after the update was installed? I noticed a notification after the update that said it was optimizing my Mac and performance would be affected until it was finished. It took about 15-20 minutes post-update for that to finish. Also, I've noticed that enumerating the song list inside RS has been taking a little bit longer than it used to (for about a week now, not sure if it's just because I've added new songs or what the cause is). So make sure you're letting the list finish enumerating before going into Learn a Song to play. Other than corrupt customs, the only thing that causes crashes/hangs for me is if I try and load song (custom or official DLC) before the game has finished enumerating.1 point

Yes, DD can be removed, so you could clear the song without being leveled down or to play it on Easy in SA. We are not allowing songs with bars (either DD or not) invisible. I knew that Nacho will fix it in no time, so I selected it and let him know later. Usually I will inform charter earlier, but it was quick change, you know. Tomorrow week can start similarly or even earlier then this week. We had time change, here in Poland, few weeks back, and I'm usually starting week 7 p.m. here. It was GMT+1 before, now it's GMT+2. So, I'm going to see how it will work for me, either go for 6 p.m. GMT, or go for 7 p.m. Polish Time (5 p.m. GMT). Basically, I would had to start earlier, but I don't know if it'll work for me, as the time we were starting before was really good for me.1 point

It's ok I guess. You can use in Toolkit under DDC the option remove DDC in the scrolldown menu. Edit the psarc file and just press remove DDC. That's all, good luck.1 point
-
@@xDatBoiSOBLE Since when? We have removed DD from previous songs before to make it easier to get through Score Attack Easy as the song would still have the same number of notes in easy and in hard but its easier to pass in SA easy for songs that are really difficult and obtain a valid score. I was not aware that this changed.1 point
-
Just a quickie - how do you remove DD from a psarc? If I could do this for Date Rape, I might be able to submit a valid score, or is that cheating? :D1 point

This isn't simple like that. Whether or not a game has a custom tone does not dictate whether or not the game tanks.1 point

Nothing really particuliar to do. It's way harder than simply playing or singing and practice is the only solution here. Also the more you know by heart the guitar or lyrics the easier it can be since you need less concentration on the part you know so working one part alone can help too. On some songs where rhythm and lyrics doesn't match well together it can be really hard to do it correctly.1 point

Well... As much as people are very eager to write in their favorite guitar players in this thread... (Yup, we're all entitled to our own opinions) I live in the Rushmore state. Mt. Rushmore is Gutzon Borglum's memorial to those early presidents that made a difference in the beginnings of the US. So working on that "theme".... ;) Les Paul - Early pioneer in the creation of the solid body electric guitar. Without his contribution, and early recorded music with wife Mary Ford, we wouldn't HAVE the instrument or the sound. Robert Johnson - There are only 29 known recorded songs of his brief legacy. However Robert Leroy Johnson's music is THE beginning of blues and rock music. All of the branches of the Rock family tree lead directly back to him. Died at age 27. Chuck Berry - Early Rock and Roll pioneer. That signature sound and riffs that are still being copied to this day. One of the reasons he was among the first inductees into the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame". Jimi Hendrix - Most influential electric guitarist in the history of Rock music. Enough said. Died at age 27. No offense, but everyone else owes everything back to these four guys. Even my favorite guitar player, Stevie Ray Vaughn. That's my opinion anyway for what it's worth. :)1 point

Hmm, maybe you can word it like: If you like this song please buy their music at $ItunesLink\$AmazonLink\ or listen to them on $SpotifyLink\$GooglePlayLink It's fine as long as you're not generating profit off of CDLC sales and the band is not selling their CDLC either, if its just promoting the band I'm fine with that, I am always for supporting the artist. Additionally it might be better just to link the official band's website.1 point
