  4. Deftones and QotSA? Oh hell yes. http://i.imgur.com/yBeUxHW.jpg Very easy song to play. For both of the main riffs, you can plant your fingers on one big chord and then just let your fretting hand sit there, it's great. http://i.imgur.com/wG0wIAK.jpg I dig this song, but it seems too forgiving for MC. I was expecting a solo that would just kick my ass to make up for how easy the riffs were, but no such solo ever came. Haven't even tried the Adv, but switching them is probably smart, @@fripponomic . http://i.imgur.com/0HbsK7g.jpg Yeah, that's a GoG song alright. 17. Back again :) For the last 6 or 7 months I've been spending all my guitar playing time taking lessons and working towards my first proper guitar grade exam. - the playing side was fairly straight forward (although I learned a lot about dynamics and 'feel'), but I was so far behind in things like scale knowledge, improvising and ear training that it was a lot of work and there wasn't any time left for rocksmithing. Nice to get back to playing for fun for a while :) Just the one score to share so far -

  21. Ok, the Adv and MC Lead are swapped. The one under- and the other overrated. QOTSA is changed to Advanced (7), Rio to MC (8) that fits better to the difficulties In QOTSA are no really difficult parts inside, easy solos, all good playable for advanced players Junimond is a nice and very slow song but with any tricky parts with many arpeggios, especially the outro is not that easy but good learnable, a MC on the easier side.

  29. Please discuss Rocksmith Remastered here. FAQ: Q: My CDLC doesn't work! A: For windows: Please use the new .dll | Mac: Please use the Patch. You can get both here For further help regarding customs not playing see : CDLC not working - General Rocksmith - CustomsForge Q: I'm getting 100% on all the CDLC songs I play A: Thanks to @@cozy1 and @@Lovroman you can now update all your collection in the 1.2.6.4 beta version of CFSM that can be found here : http://ignition.customsforge.com/cfsm Q: I'm getting camera issue on some CDLC, why? A: The remaster update slightly changed how the camera is handle in game so CDLC that don't have section have now different camera issue than before that are more problematic now. Note that not having section also means that Riff Repeater (RR) isn't available in game and also means that the play count won't be incremented every time the song is played. If you find such CDLC, alert the author of the problem and report the CDLC to us via the appropriate report button. Q: The play count isn't getting updated when i play CDLC, why? A: The remaster update slightly changed how it counts the number of time someone play a song which seems be related to DD instead of only section as it was before the remaster. So any CDLC without DD won't have is play count properly working. Q: I'm getting crashes when on the Learn A Song page of some CDLC? A: The remaster update changed how bonus and alternate arrangement are visible which also have a side effect of provoking random crashes when looking at songs that have too much (more than 5) arrangement in the Learn A Song area of the game. If you find such CDLC, alert the author of the problem and report the CDLC to us via the appropriate report button. Q: I'm getting an error when launching the Rocksmith Remastered A: Please verify your integrity via Steam. We do not support pirated copies and we will ban you if caught with a copy. Make sure to have Cherub Rock DLC to be able to use CDLC. Q: Is Ubisoft trying to ruin CDLC? A: No. When they updated the game, the executable file changed which is why the dll needs to be updated, it's a side effect of software programming not a voluntary maneuver to break up things. Other issue arise by the discrepancies between how CDLC and ODLC are made, they aren't 100% similar inside and some of those differences can be put to light when the game changes how it react to some information. This is not ubisoft's fault as they never provided CDLC or mod support in the first place and when the main code changes, is it our duty to fix our mods to make the CDLC work again.

CLI remastered.exe revisions: Add CLI argument [-log] [directory path] to allow for setting custom path for (org), (cor), and (log) files. Toolkit usage to remaster CDLC one at a time (bulk remastering is covered in Post #2): 1) Download the toolkit and open the "CDLC Creator" tab 2) Click "Import Package" to remaster an existing CDLC that is experiencing the 100% bug 3) After the package loads, increment (edit) the CDLC version number in Song Information. 4) Click the "Generate" button and when prompted assign a new "Arrangement Identification" 5) Remove the old CDLC that contains the bug from the 'dlc' folder (this is a VERY important step) 6) Test and report bugs. "I can't get it to work" is not a bug. Alternate usage to preserve song stats ... For CDLC that have never been played in Rocksmith 2014 Remastered you do not have to do Step 3, and should not assign a new "Arrangement Identification" in Step 4. 'Generating' will repair (remaster) the CDLC and your existing song stats should be preserved. Time to Rock n' Remaster If you have trouble getting the toolkit or the CLI running: 1) Log in as an admin and always run the toolkit and the CLI as an admin. 2) Add toolkit (RocksmithToolkitGUI.exe and RocksmithToolkitUpdater.exe) to your AV's whitelist (approved apps) Contact Microsoft if you can't get these files added to the whitelist. Some toolkit issues being reported are the result of a recent Windows 10 update and are not a toolkit issue. 3) Completely uninstall toolkit 4) Download the latest version of toolkit. 5) Unzip toolkit to the default folder (rstoolkit-2.7.1.0-xxxxxxxx-win) and leave it there 6) Make sure you are you running this exact version (clickable MS link) of .Net for compatibility (even if you have a higher version installed). 7) User's also have suggested: - Disabling driver signing - After downloading the toolkit zip file, right click and select properties of the file and click "Unblock". Thread rules: 1) All thread comments, questions and answers will be constructive. 2) No whining or pissy comments allowed. 3) No thread hijacking. 4) Make sure you are using this version of toolkit beta before posting any questions or comments. 5) Specify which OS you are using (must be logged in as admin) .

Fieldy from KoRn has long been an Ibanez user due to its low weight and sound and he got an endorsement deal with Ibanez soon after the breakthrough of KoRn. The five string K5 bass is designed by Ibanez along with Fieldy and includes a Mahogany body, Rosewood fretboard with 24 frets and a K5 inlay at the 12th fret, gold hardware, two active pickups and a Vari-Mid EQ. To achieve his signature sound Fieldy tunes his basses to A, D, G, C, F, turns the midrange all the way off and brings down the EQ all the way down at 180Hz. This makes Fieldys bass stand out from the low end of the two seven string guitars instead of getting too muddy.""I've played all kinds of basses. 39. "Now I am curious what the devs think about the "creating seperate metronome CDLCs" approach and whether it is technically possible." I don't have an opinion about this other than it seems like a good idea to follow the new limit restrictions if you want your CDLC to work in the game. It is feasible just follow the limits. By the way: Wasn't there at some point the idea of packaging multiple songs into a single psarc file? I incorporated the option to create Song Packs from multiple CDLC files a while ago into the toolkit. This feature can be found in the toolkit Packer/Unpacker tab. Take any number of CDLC and package them up into a single Song Pack. This should work nicely for what you are discussing.

  40. I guess I could live with seperate metronome DLCs... I see the following pros: Potentially prevent crashesPrevent bugged UIWith the word 'metronome' or similar in the song name, we can search them ingame easilycreating a dedicated metronome playlist and using it in non-stop play would become feasibleI already use seperate DLCs for official songs where I added the metronome... and cons: In an extreme case, our song lists become twice as long. This is visually more unpleasing to me than the bugged UI in the arrangement selectionScrolling through the song list becomes more complicated (although this can be handled with playlists)mastery progress info is seperated and becomes harder to trackWhen uploading, downloading and sharing we have to handle multiple files I will admit that the pros seem to outweight the cons. I am, however, not satisfied with the explanation that the arrangement number alone is the problem. I would instead assume that the problematic CDLC have some other unknown bug that might be worth finding. Please try one of my customs and see if they work for you, just out of curiosity. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/dc9f5h8n0l8dkd0/AAB031VltmNa5vUnkVfbKJ3Fa?dl=0 (Farin Urlaub and Jethro Tull are in E Standard, Devin Townsend is Open C) Can someone point me to a CDLC that is causing a crash? 41. @@firekorn I am still convinced that the metronome mode is the most feasible way to learn how to play music (in contrast to regular RS usage, where you only learn to play the notes of a song and remain ignorant about how your guitar actually sounds) inside of Rocksmith. So I think the metronome implementation in the toolkit was a major achievement and I see it somewhat under attack here. I could of course agree to not apply the metronome to e.g. bass and stick to 5 arrangements, but that is not an ideal solution. I think some further investigation is justified before condemning 5+ arrangement CDLCs in general. Since they work for me, I think there must be other/additional reasons for the crashes, not the fact of 5+ arrangements alone.

  44. @@Azrael Thanks for constructive questions and comments. "When I use "Load Package" in the CDLC Creator the first time after the program is started, everything is fine. But if I then load another package to generate the psarc of another song, the field "Album Sort" is not updated. Instead it shows the previous text. So I have to update it manually before I can generate the psarc." Should be fixed in 100% Bug Fix #8. Soon to be released. "Is there any reason not to reupload my remastered CDLC with the current toolkit version?" I would suggest waiting until these beta revs become finalized. I reverted 'Chord' property in JSON manifest in Fix #8 and just need to make sure this does not cause issues for user. This may or may not effect Chord ghosting issue. "Would it be possible to create an option in the "configuration" to always chain the CDLC Creator and DDC? So that I would only have to hit "Generate" on the Creator tab and DD is generated automatically with my default settings, giving me the final CDLC with one click? 45. @@Rodman "would it be possible to have an alternative version that does not update the arr. id´s for players in my situation?" For now it is an either or situation. Either you have buggy CDLC that have 100% result with your play stats. Or you have remastered CDLC with fresh play stats. Eventually, when there is time I should be able to fix CGT Game Save Gigbox to reset only the 100% bug in user profile. This would permit CDLC to keep its original Arrangement Identification as well as the play stats. NOTE: to all users make sure you hang on to backup copies of your original CDLC with the bugs. (You should be doing this anyhow, but just saying in case you are not.) Then in future we may be able to fix those originals and all your play stats will be back. 47. Be sure to run the CLI once by itself and read the full help message. The CLI has been fully tested and is working as expected. Bug reports are welcomed. If you can't get the CLI to work then re-read and follow these instructions. If you still can't get the CLI to work, then wait for next release of CFSM which will include a GUI for the CLI. Always make a backup copy of your CDLC files before ever running them through any CLI. The latest beta version of the toolkit includes an UPDATED CLI (Command Line Interface) DropletApp for bulk remastering of CDLC for use with Rocksmith 2014 Remastered (RS14R). Basic CLI Usage (remastered.exe) for CDLC that have been played in RS14R and the song stat has changed to 100%: 1) The 'remastered.exe' file is located inside of the toolkit root folder. NOTE: The CLI is dependent on the toolkit so it must be run from (remain) inside the toolkit root folder. 2) Double click the apps icon to start the app and read the help screen. 3) Close the app by clicking on the 'X' in upper right hand corner of the Windows command window. Now for some fun! But first, did you take time to read the CLI help message (see Step 2). 4) Drag and drop a CDLC file or a folder containing CDLC onto the application icon. (Start small with one ore two CDLC files until you get the hang of the CLI application.) 5) Go get some coffee while magic happens, unless you feel like watching the feedback. 6) The CLI creates 'REMASTERED_CLI' subfolder in 'My Documents' folder. This subfolder is used to store the 'remastered_error.log' and (.cor) and (.org) CDLC files. The log file contains the file paths and error messages for any files that could not be remastered. 7) Be sure to remove any CDLC that has file extension (.org) or (.cor) from the 'dlc' folder (this is a VERY important step) The new version of remastered.exe CLI automatically removes/cleans the CDLC source folder. 8) Test and report bugs. "I can't get it to work" is not a bug. This version of remastered.exe offers several command line switches [option]: - Added option [-org] to remastered.exe CLI to permit renamed (.org) CDLC to be repaired by new CLI. - Added option [-pre] to remastered.exe CLI to preserve Arrangement Identification (song stats) - Added option [-ren] to remastered.exe CLI to quickly rename (.org) files to (.psarc) files - Added option [-log] to remastered.exe CLI to specify a customize path for the 'remastered_errror.log' - Added option [-sil] to remastered.exe CLI to run in silent mode so Command Window will close when finished. There are five new batch files included in the toolkit root directory which may be used to access remastered.exe command line options for bulk CDLC remastering using drag/drop: remastered.exe -pre.bat -- Preserve song stats for CDLC that have never been played in RS14R. remastered.exe -org.bat -- Remasters CDLC that have already been remastered (has file extension .org) remastered.exe -org -pre.bat -- A combination of the above (only works for songs that have never been played in RS14R). remastered.exe -ren.bat -- Renames CDLC that have file extension (.org) back to (.psarc) remastered.exe.bat -- Remasters CDLC that have been played in RS14R and the song stat has changed to 100% Batch File Usage (remastered.exe [option].bat) 1) Locate the batch files inside of the toolkit root folder. 2) Select (highlight) all of the 'remastered.exe [option].bat' batch files 3) Hold down the ALT-key and drag and drop the batch file shortcuts to anywhere you'd like, e.g. the desktop. 4) Locate the CDLC files and directories that you want to remaster. 5) Now drag and drop the CDLC files and directories onto the appropriate batch file shortcut. 6) Go get some coffee while CDLC are processed. 7) Be sure to remove any CDLC that has file extension (.org) or (.cor) from the 'dlc' folder (this is a VERY important step) 8) Test and report bugs. "I can't get it to work" is not a bug. NOTE: For very large CDLC collections ... user reports that multiple copies of the remastered.exe CLI may be run at the same time to reduce the time it takes to remaster an entire CDLC collection. Just split the large CDLC collection into separate root folders and drag each root folder to a new instances of the CLI executable or batch file. EzPeeZ ... Enjoy!

  49. I released my initial version of this song, there was already a version of it on the database but it was very incomplete so I gave a shot at making it, however I'm really bad finding stuff by ear, my version was based on a custom pro guitar upgrade that was made for RB3, but as some of you know, Rock Band doesn't support techniques and stuff. If anyone is interested at helping me making it as accurate as possible, I have made a GP5 file with the data that I have on it, and I also have the guitar stem (isolated track) if that can help you make it more accurate. The version uploaded is perfectly playable, but I feel it's missing some bends and techniques, which I cannot identify with my bad musical ears. It's also missing the ending, which was a "Big Rock Ending" on Rock Band (a place where you can play freely) and therefore wasn't tabbed. I also need a tone, and possibly a bass part (I also have isolated track for that as well). If you want to help me polish this thing, grab it on the database (just search for "Alternity" you'll find it easily), you can also ask for the stems and/or the GP5 file if you can work with that. For people that are more "ear" musicians I can work with screenshots and drawings on it (for slides, as an example), it's not a problem, no need to have knowledge on how to author/chart customs :). If this can help you identifying the bar (measure) where you find errors, I have uploaded the GP5 file on Songsterr, which has the same structure as the custom song, and also the GP file I use for it, in case you don't have access to Guitar Pro, this makes things easier for me and you. Here is the link: http://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/south-park-timmy-and-the-lords-of-u-world-drum-tab-s18709t1 Thanks for any help I may get in the future!
