  1. First step: Check the neck relief and action on your guitar. It doesn't take much to make a guitar really difficult to play. Take a capo, put it on the first fret, hold the low E down with a finger on the 14th fret, then use spark plug gauges to measure the relief at the sixth fret or so. The distance between the string and the fret wire there is the relief -- 0.25 mm is a good distance (could be more or less depending on the neck radius). Adjust the truss rod if needed. After that, adjust the string height at the bridge. The nut is a part of the equation too -- if the nut slots are cut properly, they'll make barre chords on the first frets really difficult. (Take the guitar to a tech is you don't feel up to making these adjustments.) Once you're certain the guitar is properly set up: Make sure you're playing without tension -- do a checklist of your body, starting with your fingers, your hand, your wrist, etc -- up into your shoulder, neck and back. Make sure the entire chain stays really relaxed. That should help keep your hands from becoming fatigued. Also, check the bar you're making. You shouldn't need a lot of pressure at all -- maybe try focusing just on the bar for a bit, figuring out the exact amount of pressure you need.

DOWNLOAD CUSTOM SONG FOR YOUR PLATFORM INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS: PC: DOWNLOAD our tool to install the fix Copy file: "_p.psarc" to "dlc"; Mac: Follow the instruction over there : https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/33889-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/ Copy file: "_m.psarc" to "~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014/dlc/", you might need to use "Command-Shift-G" to go inside ~/Library since it's hidden by default in the finder XBox 360: Place files: "_xbox" to "Content>0000000000000000>555308C0>00000002"; PS3: Install files: "_ps3.psarc.edat" to "/dev_hdd0/game/BLUS31182/USRDIR/DLC", if the folder DLC does not exist, just create it. Note: If you are intending on using Custom DLCs on a PS3 or XBox, you MUST jailbreak your console first! Hacking or jailbreaking a console is beyond the scope of what we are doing here, and if you are not comfortable with doing it, you may want to simply buy the PC version of the game. JUST PLAY IT ! All credit to MarineIguana, he created this, I am merely echoing it here.

  3. How it works. Request a Tone in here. 1. Post a youtube link of the song. 2. Give a link for the CDLC without tone. (Keep the default one in the toolkit) 3. Say for which instruments you need the tone. 4. If you feel the song requires more tones. Say so and Say where in the song the second tone is so that the tone creator can hear it. 5. Wait patiently. 6. If your tone has been made and sent to you. Don't forget to say thank you and give them some credit when you post the CDLC. So hopefully some people are willing to help you out in here.

This is a practice track for the 12 Bar Blues and it's variations as described in it's Wikipedia page in the keys of C, E, and G. The backing track is a drum-only loop of the 12 Bar Blues example found here. There is a number of sections each representing a variation. in order they are: [*]Standard [*]Shuffle [*]Quick Change [*]Sevenths [*]Basic Jazz Blues Progression [*]Bebop [*]Minor (with 7ths) Standard, Shuffle, and Quick Change are easy and play quite nice together (and so does Sevenths.) Sevenths, and Minor are a little more challenging. Jazz and Bebop are full of chords most other styles of music never use and are full of unusual chords... some you don't even play as chord because they sound horrible, you play them as arpeggios. Each section has 3 phrases each 4 measures (bars) long. So every section is a self-contained 12 Bar Blues progression on it's own, and they mostly play nice going one into the other. The guitar is all chords, 1 every measure or change. You can play anything you want in between: keep strumming, tiny little fills, mix and match. The bass is just the tonic but with a hand-shape (like an arpeggio) for the current chord at every measure or change. Same deal as the guitar just hit your designated note at the right time all the in-between are up for grabs. If you know a little music theory you will notice C, E, G for the C Major chord. That's to say if C is the Root/Tonic, E is III, and G is V. As long as you keep C as the overall tone you don't have to play all sections in the same difficulty. For example you play the first 4 sections as C, C, G, C making it a simple AABA type song. While testing I found that I felt into trance mode and stop paying attention so I threw in different hand positions to try and keep it more interesting. Bassist don't have that in E or G, as I got tired of looking up different fingerings. Alright, I would like feed-back of what works and what doesn't as far as a practice track goes. Depending on how it goes I may add the other keys. Links: PC (The Only One Tested) Mac Xbox360 PS3 Hope it is alright to post this here.

  8. I've started working on Zombie, I'm surprised this haven't been made yet, a classic that's both very easy and fun to play. My mighty PC powers are a bit lacking, there's still a little way to go before I've wrestled a playable version out of the editor. Lead and rythm are both nearly complete, I'm also thinking about melting some lead parts together with rythm to keep it more interresting. ---edit--- It's nearly complete, I only need to add custom tones which will be done as soon as I'm back at my own PC sometime later today. If anyone wants to see the final version (excl custom tones), here's the link. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/wy19kj757lb04zc/-_YU3uWBo_

  10. Hello everyone! I wanted to say thanks to everyone who's supported us so far. First off I wanted to explain what your donations was used for. The negatives are what I've purchased. The websites domain for $15 and the IP.Board & IP.Download system for $225 I have $142.93 USD Left in paypal and I plan to let all users know where their money went. I will not pocket any of this money as it will be used for this website only. Edit: I've moved the transactions list to Google Spreadsheet. Please view it here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zfCUmm0Wj8V1KW_Xrh8JWhV1Sio7H7F-OHeY4E09NAA/edit?usp=sharing Thank you SO much to everyone. Okay now, for the future of the website I have a few things in motion. 1) We will most likely use http://rscdlc.com/ for our DLC system. We will modify it to make it better. 2) We will use IP.Downloads for our file system. You can do EVERYTHING you dreamed it. Some of the features: - It counts every download - Searchable fields (Title, Artist, etc) - NOTIFICATIONS for file updates. This is a huge update I'm looking forward to. No longer have to deal with outdated CDLC. - Report broken file downloads to the CDLC creator & More! 3) We are actively working with PHP developers to upgrade to our new CDLC system. 4) We are looking into hiring a Skin designer to design a professional dark-themed type skin. (Possibly a white one too). Please note this will take some time but I'm hoping to get all of this in motion within the week. I'd like to have everything up and running soon so we can have an awesome community with awesome CDLC. I also want to give thanks for my wife, Ally who has been here since the morning helping me out with everything. I'm looking forward to working with everyone to create the ultimate CDLC website.

  13. It's nice if you actually have guitar pro installed though so if you need to make an adjustment to it you can just open it in guitar pro which is quicker than doing it in eof sometimes and you can combine tracks that are split up instead of copying and pasting in eof.
