Overall I wouldn't give LP song a diff rate 4.5. For me it's a 4, just like the Return to Dust song.

I don't know if i'm tired or just stupid but I do not understand how to play the chords. I slowed it down, i just don't understand, can't even read. 😵‍💫

I've taken note of the chords needed to play No Love: B, G#5, C#, C#sus4, C#Add11, E5, and C#5...

Given that I have detuned my guitar... Is there a website that would tell me how to place my fingers given the detuning for the chords of the song?

I made sure to suggest a cdlc in the beginner class, "no love" with correct finger placements on all of the chords. Not all cdlcs have the right fingerings cause it takes more time,  so just be careful / aware of that posibility. Palms (the creator of this tab)  is one of the few who does take the time so i reccomend any of his work.

Pause the screen with the Escape button when needed/ you arent sure how to fret the chord. You can move to the next and previous NOTE/ CHORD by pressing the arrow keys Left and right (this only happens in the main menu not in riff repeater cause arrow keys do other things there like @drand mentioned )

Kinda messy.. but i tried XD

If i were you i would just focus on learning campfire chords which are C,A,G,E and D (Essential imo for any guitarist). Those shapes are callled that way because when played in Estandard tuning ( which is one of the most common /played /default tunings)  They play the Major chord of that note.
So C shape plays a C major in the default position in E standard.

These chords and power chords (a shorter/condensed version of the E shape) is what makes up most "popular" music/  and will be able to be used in all/any Standard tuning songs ( Eb Standard D Standard Dbstandard C Standard blabla)

For any Drop D or lower songs (like this one) you will mostly just use the C, A, E, D shapes  and the power chords are simplified to one finger ( you can use any of your 4 fingers to bar the 3 strings-> creates a powerchord)

The 5 shapes will be helpfull if you ever want to learn the CAGED method (which is just one way to visualize/memorize the fretboard theres plenty of videos on yt). I don't really want to "knowledge" dump cause that's not the best way to learn, just take it slowly, practice and revise alot.

Also, i think its pretty normal to get a bit lost in names with different tunnings so don't stress too much about it. That's why i think shapes might be easier than names to not overthink, but everyone has their own method of learning. And I do know the way I learnt is pretty flawed, so take my "advice" with a pinch of salt.

I will try to find easier songs for begginer for next time.  Usually the ones that are beginner level have improper fingerings / are made by new creators or too simple/ empty. If anyone does find any suitable make sure to submit it here:

whole point is to make this enjoyable for everyone / have more people playing constantly 😛

📢 TO EVERYONE:

Sorry for the delay, but I updated last week's winner list after promoting @ craxed  to adv-Lead and adv-Rhythm:

Lead:
- Beginner: @Willyam (24)
- Advanced: @craxed (98)

Rhythm:
- Beginner: @drand (97)

---

To @ craxed  : You were assigned to beginner-bass, but I find it very unlikely since you are adv-Lead, so I also assigned you to adv-bass. (Actually I would bet you could be bass-masterclass, but lets see...) If you want to change your level in bass after trying a given song, just tell us and you can change it any time.

Hope everyone enjoys the "Return to Dust" chart selected for this week. Please be sure to let me know if you happen to spot any need for corrections...I'm 100% always open to constructive feedback. It's a fun one, but probably at the max reach of beginner skills IMO. Best of luck to all you Champions!

Thank you for creating all the the Return to Dust CDLC's!!! I think this is the third song we play here in the Championship from those CDLC's you have created!!! Thanks to you, Return to Dust was one of my favorite new bands I discovered in 2024!!!

Hi!  We are here in the same journey of loving to play guitar/bass and aspiring to getting better. Never think you are not clever enough when you are stuck in a problem! It takes time and practice until you get small realizations in each step that make you advance to the next level. I even think those realizations are a joy in this journey as enjoyable as playing a song you like!!

When you are in standard tunning, the best is to be aware of the actual names of the chords and play them... However, if you are just momentarily changing the tuning, thinking in terms of the names of the chords can be way too confusing!! That is pro level calculus! So... in that case the best is to follow @ cacahuate51   advice: just practice to play comfortably the CAGED chord shapes and play them in the frets they tell you, forgetting about the actual chord names, since you have only changed the tunning momentarily.

As mentioned previously, I’m open to joining any class you think is suitable. I’m not really looking to win each week, just looking for some motivation to practice and collaborate with the group.

That said, my recent scores may or may not reflect my true level. I spend a lot of time working on these songs in Guitar Pro to a click, before even playing them in Rocksmith. I tried a couple of songs in Rocksmith and just hit play, and it was ugly 🤣.

I’m fairly decent at rhythm and repetitive riffs, but not very good at lead, solos, and inconsistent beats and patterns—something I need to work on. I also haven’t played bass in years, so I’ll need to give that a shot.

What a difficult chart for me, even though it's repeatable. I can't believe this is only 6.5, because my score is terrible 😕
