I was planning to do this selection last month, but didn't have time and energy to do it then...

Of course there is no 2025 selection yet!  That may be the earliest in summer, when there is a stock of songs from this year...

Comments about the songs:

-   Return to Dust - No Love > Our friend and fellow championship organizer @ cacahuate51  suggested it as a beginner song, and I followed his advice, since I couldn't find another good beginner song... However, this may be a really difficult beginner song! SORRY!!!  

- Bring Me The Horizon - a bulleT w/ my namE On > As you can see, I am providing the Drop D version!!!!

Well first song in, S6 was a great song, never ever heard it before, this is why I love the championship because I hear songs I've not heard of before.

I had forgotten I suggested this song! its been a while. Yea I wasnt sure to  suggest as low int or high beg hence the 3.5.They are just campfire chords for the most part buut they do switch kind of fast so yea i guess it probably wouldve been better as intermediate. Still, happy it got picked and  i think it'll benefit anyone trying to 100% on their chord switching regardless of their class 


kinda funny you picked linkin park cause i also had a week kinda prepared and it had one of their songs! maybe ill change it so people dont get to numb from them. Hadn't heard this song before, was funner to play than the one i had ready.




yeaaa too many colors for me to eyesight /read good will need to practice more. Pretty cool that bmth has found its spot in the last years, I remember In the mid 2000s they werent that popular. Guess the clean vocals / other changes really helped them out.

Regarding Telula's song, I agree!  I did like the other song but to be honest I don't like this one... I just included it because I needed a Adv-bass song from 2024 and that was the only one I found in my list... 

Regarding Return to Dust - No Love> yeah I think we both liked this band... Still I would have preferred to select an easier song for beginners, but couldn't find any for 2024!

I really did enjoy making the 2023 (only once) and 2024 selections, but it is always difficult to fill all paths, and also difficult to find songs in the SSL... As you know is already difficult to find beginner songs as well as rhythm and bass masterclass songs, so adding the extra restrain makes it harder!  I am seriously thinking about changing the theme to "recent releases" and include songs from the past 2 or 3 years...

I didn't notice!!! Yes, @ craxed  reached 98% in a song rated 7, so he definitely belongs to Lead-Advance! That might be the case for rhythm (and bass) as well!!

Advanced-Lead > After practicing this path, I feel it way harder for me than when I tested it... I feel this could be 6.5 or 7... but I will wait for the assesment from the other organizers....

If i speak i'm in big trouble.

Ok Song, the chorus is harder than the LP song.

Didn't listen to BMTH after Sempiternal, kinda liked it. Lot's of improvement to do. 

Will replay the charts tomorrow and print the Opeth song.
