Enjoyed these two despite not being a fan of the beatles and usually bad at iron maiden.

Think thisll be the first beatle song i 100% never really play them..it's kinda neat that they borrow chords and not stick to one scale. 

Don't really understand why this is rated 6.5 when the beatle lead is harder and rated at a 3.5... i think it's a solid 3.5 or 4

Slides make it hard to get a high score. I it again but got same score and mastermode got activated on some parts. The disonant solo also kinda threw me off but its a good int song.



Eii good to see Steel Panther again. and this is one of the songs i like from them / used to play! its pretty similar to the green day song in the base game think its good kid? or kid x...generation x? something like that.

spent a good time riff repeating the solo untill i got it nailed! i think it might be the first solo i can play fully!


tried a couple more times and on s.a like 4 more times  but cant really pass the 97 mark. i feel like the chord detection is kinda iffy sometimes. kinda miss there not being a rhythm path this week.

You won adv and masterclass - you also achieved >99.5 on a diff >7 ... i put you in masterclass where you clearly seem to belong and gave you the well deserved masterclass win.
Feel free to keep posting scores for advanced and any class you like! (If you unlikelywise ever wanna move down to adv again just post a comment and we will do that)

 

@Mikson @All - That´s a debate early vs late scores. I am slightly in favor of keeping a hard line week-end : new-week-start than to accepting scores till let´s say midnight CET because it´s another extra effort for the organizer of the next week and it might be a lil worse for the competition: All is good with players who compete over the week and ALSO have time to play on sat evening. We had the situation that there was heavy fighting over the week, and always (for a few moths)saturday evening that one player posted only one score and took the win. ( @ MonstaS4 will remember ) In that very situation it is better when those score open the week and allow competition than end it. Personally i think starting the week with a lot of saturday scores is a cool thing. And as a player it doesn´t make a lot of difference whether starting to work on the new songs or improving the old (but yes, i do that over the week also). And of course we should keep being layed back and accept scores that come in a lil late.
But that is only me - please give us feedback - let´s make the CS even better!!!!!!

Regarding the week start time: For me in a European timezone, I always enjoyed the times when It was like 8 or 9PM when the new week started and I was able to play the new songs once before going to bed
But that's something I'd like people in other timezones to experience too, so I don't really have any good suggestions for the situation

For the scores, I think it's only fair if the cut-off is a little later because the week start might be at night for some people and they'll just have less time to work on a song. 
The only problem I see is that it makes the end of a week less clear and the winners that are announced in the new week might change after a week has already started causing some confusion

I like the variability in week start hours. It helps to reign in my procrastination. It also makes the 'posting in the last minute and hoping no one will respond in time' strategy much less feasible.

Also, we already have the 19:00 CET cut-off rule for really early posts.

I vote to keep things 'as is'.

It's generally good now. New weeks usually start later in the evening. But in case when new week starts earlier (around 19:00 like this week) I would give at least an extra hour to publish scores.

First attempts for the week.

This is not quite Adv level IMO - maybe a 6 but I'd bump it down to 5.5 as it's so short and repetitive:

And this to me is clearly a lower-end MC. The length of the song and the fast fret and chord changes bump it up from 7.5 to 8:

@ cacahuate51  To my knowledge we have never tried to compare Lead and Bass for difficulty ratings, they are each their own thing. The average bass part for a song is going to be easier to play than the average lead part, that doesn't mean we center our difficulties around the lead difficulty. Nor should we IMO. Many of us bass players have little to no interest in playing lead guitar.
