...what do we have???

First of all:

Thx for your massive participation in the last weeks!

Really keeps pushing to make the CS as good as possible!

This week - great songs everywhere, all classes filled... diffs should match fine, just enjoy.

Actually even too many arrangements to put on the sheets... we´ve already had What´s up, still that bass shall not be dumped, it landed in exta bass for everyone.

Reading the rules I should be promoted to MC Lead (accuracy => 97% for 3 weeks in a row). Well, maybe I am good enough not to be down-leveled back to ADV, to be honest, but I feel it's out of my league, players in MC are way more skilled than me. Do organizers decide in these situations?

I just want to know which song is my Lead challenge this week. Thanks.

Do I get an extra points from those two songs I cleared in master mode, although they didn't end up being my best runs?

Also ugh. Every song is in different tuning

Bass time.

1. Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger - this is easier than 3 :)

eozXY5i.jpg

Closer to 3, I'd say. But question - how do a play x on open strings?

bqHieJN.jpg

Leo Moracchioli - Eye of the Tiger (4). This one is definitely not 4. Weird tuning and goes really fast in some parts. My guess would be 6.

I was surprised that my bass down tunes to A# and still plays ok! That means I can try playing Carcass :)

I also tried it with a pick, thinking I could get a better score but nope. Got 91% and forgot to take a screenshot. Also, I don't like covers by this Leo guy, so I probably won't be playing it again

Amorphis - The Golden Elk (7). This one is fun to play! Although, to be honest, I get bored listening to Amorphis albums after Tuonela. Quite surprised by the bass line, their earlier stuff was much more simple.

Wtf is this :) was able to keep up in the beginning so if I had several hours to dedicate to this song, I could probably get 95% or more

Guitar...

4 Non-Blondes - What's Up. I realized that I finger the A chord in a wrong way. Hm... No wonder it usually sounds like crap!

ka4sxDI.jpg

Played it twice as I forgot to take a screenshot

Oasis - Don't Look Back In Anger

Rhythm is actually quite easy, probably 4

VpqGh6C.jpg

Lead is harder but 5 is about right

rCO4I7t.jpg

This is definitely not 4. Also, with the A# version, the 2nd fret (C?) on the E string doesn't register at all on my guitar. Don't like the song so eh.

Amorphis - The Golden Elk (6). Actually quite easy to play. May be swap it with the Int?

I don't like re-tunig just for one song, so I started with What's Up = 98.6% on bass - I will improve that before moving on to Get The Funk Out,

  • "Oh no, not me, I never lost control, You're face to face with the man who sold the world" David Bowie - RIP
  • "Like a bird on the wire, Like a drunk in a midnight choir, I have tried in my own way to be free" Leonard Cohen - RIP
  • "Roll over Beethoven, Dig these rhythm and blues" Chuck Berry - RIP

My son love Eye of the Tiger by survivor...he loved playing this on bass too.  I did less well  on rhythm with 89%.

That's an old rule that no longer applies. I'm surprised that it was there so long (which means that I should revisit rules). Now you're only levelled up when you score 99% on guitar or 99.5% on bass (on a song of upper difficulty, i.e. 7 for ADV).

Also ugh. Every song is in different tuning

You get an extra point if difference between best run and Master Mode run is lower than 2% (rules say "score" but I assume it means "accuracy"). So you would get the point for the rhythm run (98.xx) but not for the bass run (96.xx against your 100%, also INT is not your class for bass, you couldn't get points for that song anyway).

We need @Rodman to confirm everything and eventually edit the results.

First run on adv bass. I don't know how I feel about this one. It seems easy to achieve close to 100% but the song is so long and combined with the D standard tuning makes me think I won't practice this one a lot. Definitely not as much as R U Mine haha. If I manage to get 99.5% can I compete on MC the same week?. That one sounds cooler and the tuning is only Eb.
