Finally fixed beatmap at first of half verse, i hope now we can start hard practice. This was my stupid fault, notes was shifted just about at half of beat together with beatmap. Bass seated right, so at bass was impossible to see issue. I`m very sorry. Link to updated cdlc 2.4 Megadeth

Dead End Friends on bass = 83%. I can't do this song justice in RR at 80% speed let alone full speed.

If this BS continues, I think I'm going to bow out of this week's competition. 16 misses throughout all of the song excepting the last chorus (starts at 4:30), and 24 misses in the last chorus (I;m pretty sure, based on the end percentage). And yes, I'm aware the last chorus is a half step up from the others. I find it hard to come up with an explanation that just randomly has RS deciding at the end (or even sometimes the middle) of a line of the same note repeating that I'm off somewhere else. Some of the other 16 misses also seemed pretty damn questionable (in my view 1:13, 1:25 [the first one with the blue 9 16th notes, not the slide down after], 3:00, 4:05, 5:02). I don't know if it's my strings, my cable (this crap's been happening on both of my basses, though much more this week than last), or what, but this is kind of ruining all of the fun of this. And yeah, I still suck pretty hard at fast legato. Edit: Also, I made sure to check my tuning right before this run. Not just for the open string, but also that the most commonly used frets in the song were within a few cents of on tune.

@@Kaijin My version have almost same notes and is same difficult, it only look easy at video cover. And yet will be good to see some feedback especially from those who tried both version. I contacted with author of original cdlc and he change his to my version, if it more good. Yet interesting to me, why lords of MC almost never not posting their scores for more easy a songs? What is reason?

You mean that the sound ingame is the preview and not the song, right? In your project folder you need to have both the song and the preview, both in .wav format (you can use audacity to convert any audio file to it, or use EOF that creates the files when you select an mp3 or ogg as your source), for this I'll be calling them: audio: songname.wav preview: songname_preview.wav In the toolkit, you'd have to select the "songname.wav" file for the audio, and if there's any file following the syntax "songname_preview.wav", it'll be included as a manual preview. Even more, the latest version of the toolkit generates a preview automatically if there's not any songname_preview.wav file in the folder.

All bass drum there between notes (at guitars).

Oh, it was one of those things where the jewels (seemingly) randomly shift off of the beat markers? I've definitely had that happen to me a few times when making customs. Have to admit I have no idea why that happens unless I accidentally dragged them. Also, I made a practice track out of some of the parts in Set the World on Fire that I've been having trouble with on bass so I can play through them without having to wait through other crap first (background audio is just a click track instead of the song). If anyone else is interested, here's a download link (I set most of my practice tracks with ZAAAx as artist so they're easy to find, but I suppose here it maybe would have made sense to put Symphony X as the artist name so it's near the song). The BPM is at 180, whereas the true BPM for the song is 168 or ~93%. If anyone wants anything else in there, you can download the GP file here and let me know what measures you have trouble with. (and yes, the third part I actually had trouble with for a while. I now shift my hand to play the hopos with my pointer and middle fingers because my middle and ring suck.) If this is something you'd like to see more of for songs that don't already have tons and tons of sections (e.g., one of these would definitely not have been needed for Orion), let me know and I'll try to make them in the future.

feedback dropped on Defector - The first tone has too much trebble (during JFK) it should be heavier - why is the chord on 2 harmonics ? it should definitely be fret hand muted - As you said the solo is played with whammy, so please remove the jump between string, on one hand you can try tone change like in RATM - Killing in the name of, on the other if it doesn't sounds well just let the same note and unfortunately no tone change but to have the more accurate playing style we have to not jump between chord to do this ! @@Darjusz Insomnium is great! Down With The Sun and Through The Shadows especially. You might want to check you Omnium Gatherum, they are pretty similar as Insomnium. I've been playing Moonshield also, but its hard.

What kind of pick is that? I've got some bone picks, but my favourite material I've ever used is obsidian. Those suckers are expensive, though. Its called Ultex, it feels very similar to a tortex, very durable and easily grippable. Havent used Obsidian picks before

@comp @Alex360 I think there is a problem with that song. Other RS1 CDLC are still converting ok. I am investigating. EDIT: So the problem is that the Bass arrangement xml element is wrong in the RS1 CDLC file. It is currently set to "Lead". Here's how to fix this CDLC song. In the Creator GUI, press Import Package. Select the song. After the toolkit loads the RS1 song into the GUI. Select (highlight) "Guitar -Rythm" and press Remove. Now open up "Part REAL_BASS.xml" in the GR\Behaviors\Songs folder and manually edit it. Change "Lead" to "Bass", save and close. Then back in the Creator GUI manually adding the three arrangements back. Press Add and select each XML file again from the GR\Behaviors\Songs folder. Adjust the tones for each arrangement or leave as default. Then press Generate. Your song should work. I will try to add an exception handler to the toolkit so that users are alerted of this condition and the need to manually edit. I am nice guy, I will just automate these types of repairs in next release.

Intermediate Lead - 93.6%, 156 streak I RR'ed to 85% speed this two single note sections (that repeat twice) and decided to give whole song a go. There is still room there, I think that I can nail them. Then it's the solo, I probably hit it well, but it most likely sounded like crab. Part after solo is tricky. I played rhythm as well, but that part when solo is on lead took me off guard. I was surprised that it did not crossed me there.

I make new version cdlc Megadeth - This Was My Life There new beatmap, original of hand position at chorus (look at live video), fixed solo at E string, no DD. There very helpful video cover (i tabbed thereof indexes of fingers for chorus parts), yet there solo version as it played Mustain at live, but in audio of cdlc, seems studio version and there is yet some notes (it right). Update. It is not final version, in lead soon will added a few changing, into part chorus.

Well, I'll still try to make sure I beat you by at least that margin (though it was apparently 4 notes on the 23rd fret. Clearly haven't RRed that section enough...). Practicing the transition to the transition to the high fast stuff (which, as could be seen in my "99.01%" screenshot, I've screwed up in the past), the melodic part, and the solo are going pretty well. Though as @@lordlk puts it, I seem to have some FURS trouble in the melodic part, as I'm getting misses random non-slide notes in there that I'm nearly certain I'm hitting appropriately. Usually only 2-3 per run, but still enough to be annoying.
