So im still learning how to do these weeks so i apologize for any inconvenience
the winners shall be added later, still need permisions to do so but im sure itll be fixed  should be done now thanks to everyone who helped 


info bout this week:

1. overdrive post malone- good campfirey chord song (the d# chord might be a bit tricky hence why its rated a bit high)... it generally reminds me alot of a song named closing time by semisonic 

Blood - Editors - gives me some interpol/depechemode/ white lies vibes. I remember always seein this cd in poundland (1dollar store equivalent) but dont think i ever heard the album. so it was nice to give them a shot when it was suggested on the list. i think theres a closer song it ressembles to from white lies but dont remember which...maybe it was the chorus to lose my life but im pretty sure its another...anyways simplish song

Stay with me calvin harris- good groovy song gives me rock your body by justin timberlake vibes  honestly prefer that song way more...the bassline is just too good... but stay with me is also pretty good/relatively easy and the tab was good (hadnt heard the song before). i added a pitch drop version for those who dont have thick strings or a 5 string bass( it appears as custom tunning for some reason but it is e Standard)

Diary of jane -Breaking Benjamin . Used to listen to them alot growing up so was pretty glad when there was a decent cdlc made for this song (there has been like 4 different cdlcs for this song).  i had more isues with the bass than the previous week i hosted .. from messages on discord it apparently happens when they apply low tunning fix to the psarc...so the drop d tunning one will sound off (only for bass, guitars should be fine).

Wenn die Bayern feiern -Die Mayrhofner - last minute addition... was to replace the bass path of diary of jane for those who dont have thick strings, drop pedal or 5 string?..

fun song to play, its pretty fast for me though and alot of string skipping so it should be challenging enough. kind of a random song... xD to me feels like a childrens song/ a mexican norteno song (i dont really listen to that type) ....but since i have no idea what they are saying i kinda like it more lol

TheBluesBrothers-SweetHomeChicago-  havent really heard their catalogue or this song before so it was a nice recomendation by jimmy a couple weeks ago. I think the only song i knew from them is soul man and thats cause of a drake and josh episode. But it seemed challengin enough and is a good song. (could be updated since the cdlc is a bit old but its playable)

Really sorry to ask, could someone upload these to YouTube just the Rocksmith please the audio doesn’t have to be on otherwise they’ll be a DMCA strike and all that. It’s just I’m without a personal machine I can play Rocksmith on but I have YouTube on my Tv and a positive grid 40w to jam along with. Just the leads. If I can find these on YT anyway I’ll point it out. Thanks once again all.

First scores of the week! Really liked the song selection, lot's of nostalgia

Editors is so good, this bring me back to the FIFA days in the early 2000's, almost made me cry thinking about the actual state of the franchise, I HATE YOU EA. 

Another freakng banger, Nascar 07 soundtrack was goated for sure.

A great week theme would be licensed soundtracks from the 2000's, from FIFA to PES, Burnout, Need for Speed, NFL, NHL, Jackass, Gran Turismo, Forza, WWE Smackdown X RAW, Nascar, etc.

eei glad you enjoyed them /brought some memories back!

i do like that week theme idea! always have loved songs that are in racing /sport videogames. Not sure about the quality of the ones on cf but its something id be happy to dive in and explore if i host again. (if you find worthy ones feel free to suggest them in the suggestion forum!!)

heres my bass test runs:







had to replay it cause apparently i didnt take a photo the first time  slide town!

 maybe 6 songs is a bit too much? i probably couldve taken 2 out...

buuut i  enoyed them all xD

personally think the diary of jane bass path is well done for those who have a real pitch pedal (ingame one can sound kinda bad sometimes) or heavy strings...and the die mayhorfner song is pretty short/not that many notes /no reall techniques per say (like slides slap pop harmonics etc) /and most importantly its fun to play imo.

This one isn't from a video game, but another version of the song was a key to the plot of the original Blues Brothers movie way back (not necessarily recommending that movie, however). By the way, the bass part has 1195 notes.

Good week everyone!

Decided to try all of the songs. Why not? Even if it's terrible it's my own terribleness 

Slow and seems easy but some moments are tryhard. Will see how I will make it this week.

Good song for beginners, at some point one uncomfortable chord appears, the rest is easy.

My suggestion for this song was for beginner level. I played this again after a long break and I still think this is more beginner level.

I can admit that Breaking Benjamin is one of the first (which happened somewhat by accident) bands I started listening to when I got access to the internet a long time ago. So I have a huge sentiment for them and I'm always happy to play their songs!

Btw. The first song I listened to was Polyamorous, which is an official DLC and of course I have it in my collection  And The Diary of Jane is probably their biggest hit, considering the number of listens.

The first part of this song was fun to play. Somewhere from the middle chords started that repeated until the end, and they were a bit unusual, so I got a bit tired of placing my fingers properly  It's weird that @ cacahuate51  chose this, because he kept complaining that the songs were too long, and this is long and the chart is repetitive, although the song itself is nice to listen to.
