I'm supposed to spend the weekend doing my taxes, but one of my song choices came up... And the song choice matches the pickguard on the guitar that I haven't played in months... So I'll need lots and lots of time in Riff Repeater... And then I'll have to play it on bass... and then I'll have to play advanced bass for my own competition. The taxman will understand the delay, won't he?

Secret Agent Man on bass I'll try to get a decent run through on rhythm before moving on to advanced bass

I had real troubles playing the opening riff in secret agent man, so i tried something new (for me). Hybrid picking. Plectrum for the g string and middle finger on the e. Only took me a few tries to nail the intro that way. Liked the songs this week but tough week for bass! I don't think the really was a beginner level song on bass. I'd have ranked the Nirvana song a little harder, probably around a 6 than Coheed and Cambria, around a 5. I'm not sure I can definitively say as enjoyable, but I really enjoy watching it. Knowing that a lot of it is us pushing each other to improve past the point where we'd probably just say "good enough" and stop is also really cool.
