love the songs this week did some quick runs Falling Away From Me, 100% Love Korn, really awesome guys, not the most diffuculty guys to play but they absolutely dont have to. really slow song, and it was kinda easy, but some parts were kinda confusing cause you couldn't really hear the bass/yourself over the loud guitar 4 No Uta gave this one a quick look with the bass, as i'm going to play the rhythm anyway. well...AWESOME. Babymetal songs are so weird but totally cool and sooo catchy. had a earworm of that song the whole day. but it was way to exhausting for my right hand on the bass. And dont have to say much about the GNR song, the old songs of them are really all pretty briliant and fun to play. cheers, have a great week!

I'll play the Korn song in A on my 5-string later for a screenshot. I've played it before but haven't gotten around to it for this week yet. Babymetal is a blanket NO THANK YOU for me, so I'll skip that one... :) Advanced and MC Bass are both easier than standard fare for their classes, but their sequence/order is correct (Megedeth song easier than GNR). Adv: I like that one. A bit boring for long stretches of rapid-fire notes, but even so it sounds good and can be good practice for timing and the strum patterns in sets of 3/5/longer. For difficulty I'd call it a 4. MC: Notably more tricky than the Megadeth song, but not hard. I'd encourage all the Advanced bass folks to try this one also. For difficulty I'd peg it at a 6, roughly. Mainly because I think that if it was selected as the Advanced song, a good percentage of participants at that level could hit the 99.5% advancement threshold. One of those songs where (in my estimation) it would be a little tough to get a full-on 100%, but pretty easy to get 99%+; there are a LOT of easy stretches with a lot of notes, with just a few very brief trickier parts that amount to a drop in the bucket of the total number of notes. Both of those are fun, and again I'd encourage pretty much everyone to try them out (even if you're not in MC/Advanced class)!

I'm using a pick too. I have no preference for picking or plucking but there's no way I can pluck this one this week after Hotel C last week. My fingers just haven't recovered yet.

I got an idea to get back Falling Away From Me to bass beginner, what about the multipitch fix? I can make a bass tone that emulates the A Standard tuning withouth moving from E

Hmmmmmm.... I remember the day - i was 13 - a schoolmate borrowed me his original copy audio tape Iron Maiden - No Prayers for the Dying - put it in, never heard anything as beatiful till then, and that was it for me, fell in love with (mainly melodic) heavy metal, later added hardrock, a little death, ... Since my youth Maiden, ´tallica, Acdc, Helloween, Amorphis, Slayer, Sepultura later also Deep Purple, Billy Talent, System of a Down, Unearth, Volbeat. However, always hooked to the guitar lines, always wanted to be able to play that stuff... When i started studying i finally bought a ibanez gio hanging at a pawn shop, tried to learn my favorite songs from tabs, had no chance because they were all much much above any beginner level, though i would have had the time then just played sporadically cause NO progress, bought my gisbon sg spec as a huge Angus fan (o.c. i thought a bad guitar is the reason for being lame ;) ), didnt change anything, bought my B.C. Rich - Warlock from a friend cause he didnt want it no more, but overall couldnt play any song then, stopped and didnt play for 15 years.... Meanwhile wonderful gf, 2 kids and a very demanding job. Bought RS (PS3) was thrilled by the surprisingly good recognition, but the song selection kept it from being the real deal to mke my schedule... June 2014, age 36, somehow i stumbled upon the CS google docs file (yeah - before knowing about cdlc and cf) and 2 mins later i had decided that i was at home :) - instantly got RS14, registered, didnt miss a week since then, always thinking about how to push the competition and keep the players playing, was invited to join the organizers, and am more than happy about the progress - playing about 7-10 hours a week, 270 overall. Very happy Motive practically forced me to buy a bass, and bought my wonderful ESP JK-1, and lately a Fender Squier strat mini since i restarted... Today i dared tryin a few of my purchased dlcs, and achieved 90+ maiden 1st tries rhy - still shocked, no way this would have been possible without the CS!

back in high school (35 years ago - yikes!) i bough an electric guitar and practice amp at a pawn shop, and learned a few songs from a fake book for the Bowie album Ziggy Stardust & the Spiders from Mars. I never really practiced enough to get good and put it away totally when I started university. For Christmas 15 months ago I bought "the kids", including me RS for the PS3. I bought them an cheapo electric guitar and built myself one from a kit. Last summer, I built a bass from a kit and have been playing that while my guitar gathers dust. So over the last while, I'll play RS or work on scales or exercises for at least an hour most days. I got the PC version of RS a couple of months ago, when I found this site. Now maybe it's old fashioned and nerdish of me, but outside of the Championship, I only download CDLC for which I have an existing LP or CD. Greg

@@franfit You can pass score attack on Hard, if can to play in learning mode with accuracy >90-93 %. Less accuracy very big chance kick your ass of SC. :)

In score attack you fail a section whenever you miss a certain percentage of notes. Not exactly sure, it might just be 50%, but I think it's if you hit less than ~50% of the notes in the section you get the X. The X's and your multiplier aren't related at all.

Actually, no, it's not. Using unpack does not give the .ogg file needed, nor proper arrangements. The XMLs generated are stripped of tech notes, unpitched slides, link next statuses, etc. Using "Import Package" does this as well.

Open note are placed relatively to the fret hand position. just generate all fret hand position and then modified those that you want to be change at you're liking. it's not related to any kind of status on the note themself.

Actually, this is the first time I'm hearing about this (make sure to use our Tracker to report any bugs you find). Have you tried clearing your cookies? I fixed a bug today in Ignition that I think affected you. Can you try now and tell me if you get results on the first page load? Can confirm I was having the same issue previously - seems fixed now. Now if we could have it so clicking an artist name, sorts by that artist / shows only that artist, the same as "Old Search" does - and not open the entry's pop-up, that would be awesome. Clicking the song should open the pop-up (if we must insist on having it), while clicking artist name should then show only that artists tracks.

I was doing this with Rocksmith to begin with as well - I'd see the notes come up and if it looked too complicated, I'd quit the song immediately. I think the competition helps with that - I'm more likely to work my way through a whole song in the Championship, even if I do only get 70-80%.
