Closing topic. Let's face it. If someone uploads someone elses CDLC, can they support it? can they fix any problems the original CDLC had with it? most likely not. If they want to make that CDLC, they can create it on their own, or get permission from the original CDLC creator. If we allowed people to start uploading other peoples CDLC we would see massive amounts of dups with multiple versions. This user uploaded tons of CDLC without permission with multiple warnings, and it was dealt with.

I got a chance to play BandFuse and 2014 back to back and gave them both a serious try. (I still don't have 2014, I'm more happy with 2012, YMMV). I played it enough to get get 5 stars on a song, 100 note streak, 100% a song on medium, and tried to be open minded about it. My problem with BandFuse as compared to Rocksmith is that it emphasizes the picking hand instead of the fretting hand. Their notation is about the timing of things like bends, and the right strings to hit. The notation for the fret hand is possibly OK for people really into Tab, but I found it impossible to play something that I did not already know or understand. After a little while for example, a 1/3 notation on the top string is clearly a power chord, but when I was playing a new song, and I'd get a 2/4 on the A string, it would blow my mind. With Rocksmith by contrast, I can know practically nothing about the song, and still be able to get my fret hand in position, because it's showing me exactly where to be. This is why I say Rocksmith emphasizes the fret hand, and I think that's the right emphasis. At least for me, I have waaay more trouble with where I am on the neck, and what string, than I do with picking. So for me at least, I found BandFuse to be a nice novelty, but way to close to being a Rockband 4 with their awful notation. I even have that stupid plastic Mustang guitar, and could never get their notation, even after studying a song. Now for 2014 vs. 2012, for anyone who might be curious: I like 2012 better because it's more 'fun'. The emphasis is different. 2014 is a more serious tool, and more polished and definitely better at actually learning a song. But I'm a dilettante, and don't actually care about all that, I just want to play music and have fun and learn as I have fun. 2012 meets that goal better for me, because I really enjoy playing to that stupid animated crowd. Dunno why.

Hello,We are now taking votes on releasing an CDLC approved area. mini-faq: What does this mean? If the votes equal "YES", we would launch a new CDLC area for APPROVED CDLC's only. This means the CDLC will have everything finished, and tested by the community. This would include: Lead, Rhythm, Bass, Vocals, Custom Tones, Synced up, RR And optional DD. (NO issues) (exception is if one of the Arrangement types isn't available for the song)​Additionally, you would need the appropriate album artwork, title, and everything else So like SA's old system, right? Similar yes, but better executed. All of the "approved" CDLCs would have to be 100% finished, in the correct format, and at an appropriate host that won't delete the song in a week or month if not downloaded. EDIT: This is NOT going to a separate section! There will be three filters - approved, unapproved, and in progress. The default will be to show all customs, but you can filter if you would like to see only approved customs. It will be integrated within our current search.

I downloaded song: "Muse - Thoughts Of A Dying Atheist", take the DDC generated XML and did unpack on .SNG and the only differences I see is: - Decimal places (make no difference to toolkit and the game); - Count attributes (make no difference to toolkit and the game); - The order of some attributes comparing with DDC XML (but the order is equal to EoF, because I did changes to make equal); - LinkedDiff (is not used on RS2014); - The TranscriptionTrack element (sng don't provide this info, but can be calculated, but is not required for toolkit and the game to work); - "-arp" sufix in chord display name; Only the last item make difference and is simple to fix, I'll fix it. As some of you may have noticed. A couple of hours ago several CDLC were removed from the database. These were all CDLC uploaded by the same user. The reason for the removal of these is quite simple. He did not create them.Reports were made about his CDLC so several staff members investigated the issue. They concluded that this were indeed CDLC created by someone else.This was the third time for that user, he ignored the warnings that were given to him. So that user is banned now.Notice Every report made on this subject will be investigated.Do not upload CDLC that is not created by yourself. Only when you have the permission of the original creator and you can show proof of that is it allowed. I'd be all for it if all the songs that meet the criteria are put in approved and not just the popular ones but I find it hard to beleive that will happen if it does cool.

Nope. What is this outside of Rocksmith you speak of.

I use Elixir Polyweb. I can't seem to wear them out. I play about 2.5 hours every day. I used to have a couple sets of the colored strings but they seemed marginal at best out of the box and were completely dead in a couple weeks. Ernie Ball seemed ok. polywebs seem absolutely corrosion proof.

I use Elixir Nanoweb 12077 (10-11) on my Epiphone Les Paul Standard with Seymour Duncan pickups.

I played the SE. It was beautiful. The S2s were not yet released when I tried them, but I was operating under the "its more expensive for a reason" philosophy. I ended up getting the core because I was looking around the web one night and my wife saw it and agreed that it is the most beautiful guitar she had ever seen and she decided that I should have it. Probably helps that she was trying to rationalize wanting to buy a $6000 ring. I think I made out better on the deal. Sure, her ring cost a ton, but I have a MD made PRS limited edition. :-D
