So I decided to create a week with songs whose titles are thematically related to celebrating the New Year. Most of the songs I tested were not difficult enough so we have more selections for beginners/intermediate - I added bonuses because all paths are nice to play and the songs are not too long.
Well, the biggest problem I had, as is often the case, was finding a bass path difficult enough to be suitable for a masterclass. This is the most difficult bass chart I could find, I realize that this chart is a madness of pitched slides, which are problematic to recognize. I will try to modify it a bit tomorrow and change the slides to unpitched and post an additional version. Have a good week!

Usually don't like this type of music but its one i enjoyed the most. Definatley was tired when playing it as it was the last song i played so it was a bit sloppy. wil give it a go later.

never heard of this group but i like the female vocals/ song. nice background music i wouldnt mind listening to so thanks for suggesting it.

lead path was fun. didnt like the other paths that much cause i avoid the capoo as much as possible.

oooh!! yea no wonder " I lived a lie" (song i choose in nfs week 568 championship, almost 100 songs ago wow time flies) sounded familiar to me.

I always felt like it sounded like an old song and i think this one by mayday was it. Like the chords of the chorus of that song were taken from this one..atleast thats what popped in my head when playing this song again. Used to listen to this album by mayday parade alot ages ago aswell.

Also noticed that this song is probably why i liked valencia (has some decent material) song "where did you go?" cause of the line  "so whyd you have to go" in this song,also same time era ish.  

Maybe a stretch.. but in any case it brought me some memories and reminded me of valencia which i hadnt heard in ages ago so it was good to play thanks.

First results of the week. Have to find another technique to tune to drop-D as 5th and 7th fret recognition is terrible

I changed the slides in the chart and added an edited version. Now playing this should be much more enjoyable

Asking this for ease and I can't do it since I'm on a Mac. Any chance of these songs being converted to guitar pro/GP5 so I can play them in ToneLib/Guitar Pro to practise some bits?

You can load p.sarc files straight Into Tonelib. There is also  Rocksmith to tab which sort of works

Thanks!  I wasn't familiar with Tonelib, just installed the free trial version and am very pleased with the functionality to display p.sarc files as notation and tab.   Just a quick question about note quantization, I wasn't able to find any info in the Tonelib docs so far.   Sometimes the notation has notes appearing 1/64 earlier than where I think they belong, leading to notation that is awkward to read (and play), and some quantization would be helpful for cleaning that up.

Yea I never heard of tonelib so its really cool to see that option.

 I don't quite know the easy solution since i've never used tonelib and it might just be a bad conversion.

However, I do know that there's alot of creators on customs forge that unfortunatley dont take the time to beatmap correctly or they dont use grid snapping or both. You can usually tell in gamewhen this occurs as notes sometimes dont land on the lines which represent the strong beats aka 1 2 3 and 4.

So if theres a conversion tool it will also make it appear oddly in the tab cause it wasnt done accurately in the psarc in the first place. I imagine there must be a quantize function though in tonelib, surely theres a manual usually can be located in the help menu of programs or a simple google search and then once you find the manual you can press ctrl f  and enter keywords such as quantize and it should take you there. 

or worst case scenario you open the psarc file via dlc builder -  then use the eof project file   -  select all notes ctrl a and use grid snap  -  save   -  repackage song and then use the conversion tool or drag ton tonelib /whatever you were doing. But you got to be carefull with quantize functions in either scenario (eof or tonelib) cause it might quantize improperly.

I didn't see this post until today when I was looking for it on the Rocksmith Championship page sorted by most recent activity, how did you guys find it? 

I got about 80% the first playthrough, not used to playing this kind of song so it's hard for me.

I thought there used to be a way to convert the file from p_psarc to m_psarc so that you could play on Mac even if there wasn't a Mac file posted on Ignition?

Unless, do y'all mostly practice these songs by pulling up the tab instead of using Riff Repeater?
