2024 SELECTION - PART I

ARE YOU READY??!!!

This week is a selection of brand new songs from 2024!!! 
YEAAHH AGAIN!!!

As always, it is with great pleasure that I am hosting this week.
Ignition4 and this Championship have become my primary sources to find new music, so I wanted to share with you guys some songs I liked from this year. 
As you may remember, I did a selection for 2023 in new year's eve. This year I planned to do two selections for first/second semesters of 2024, but somehow it became difficult to complete the selection and this little project got delayed!!  Hopefully, I am planning to do a second selection for the end of December.  
I apologize for not using songs from other participants in the SSL. It is very hard to check the year of each song since that info is not on the SSL spreadsheet. What I did try is copy-paste the list of song added this year and ask two AIs (Gemini and ChatGPT) to pick the songs released in 2024... but both AIs were completely useless for this task!!! 

I want to comment about the songs themselves in another post, but here are a few quick remarks:
- Begginner LEAD> Sorry, "aiko - Pedestal" is above this level. I couldn't find a good song for this path. Still, I think this will be less difficult than last week's song.
- Advanced RHY > Again, sorry! Couldn't find a perfect match, but you will agree with me that "Plini & Kiko Loureiro - Out of the Void" is a freaking cool song!!!
- Advanced BASS > I think the difficulty is OK but the song may be a bit repetitive... again sorry! I hope you enjoy it. 

Besides the above, there will be an extra price for this week. If anyone already knew ALL THE SONGS for this week, will get a GOLD MEDAL for the "most up to date contestant for 2024 part I", and if anyone already knows ALL THE SONGS EXCEPT ONE will get a SILVER MEDAL. You will get a congratulation post with lots of emojis from this week's organizer (me).

Played through most of the list on Lead, can't post any respectable scores at any level. Going to have to work hard this week.  All the songs are great, just the difficulty level is definitely there this week.  Thanks for the introduction to new music @ aNDESmASAMUNE  and hope you are safe during Typhoon Shanshan.

dang...harder than last weeks? sounds like this will be interesting and fun then! xD Im out of touch  with news and didnt know about a typhoon pero tambien te mando suerte!

I would agree with @ robolechuga  this selection is harder then last week. At least my first plays were awful 

BegL: Most of the song is easy but the riff built from 2nd and 4th strings may brake a streak:

 

InterL: Nothing technically hard here but complicated forr me.          BegR: Light and easy song. Slides can ruine at SA.

InterR: very loud custom tone. Parts between chords of main reef can be tricky.   AdvL: absolutely terrible in my performance and unplayable.

LOL.. Plini & Kiko adv. rhythm is completely out of my reach to go over 60%...

Let the suffering of my ego, hands and those that hear my fingers fumbling over the strings on these songs come to a merciful end. 

 

I think Kiko is amazing, not as guitarist, as a musician and person.  Watch his vlogs when he was on tour with Megadeth, or his interview with Beato or Anderton's, so humble and knowledgeable.  This chart is insane, unless you can do an 8 fret stretch across three strings like Plini does on the intro.  I had to transpose the C# to the D string to even have a chance.
