Elvis Passed 40 years ago today. I was only learning to walk or fall at this point but he meant a lot to so many out there. This is all I could muster for you Elvis because of Tom Petty and my bleeding fingers.

at the beginning of the week these chords seemed very daunting but after a few tries they came a lot more naturally than I thought they would, fun song

very tricky solo and nowhere close to having it down, definitely saw some improvement and it was fun to work on, those pinky bends are crazy. creedence last week definitely helped with this one

i have been in San Sebastian all week working which is very nice but doesn't help the guitar playing.

i picked the Killers track to give the Beginners something to get stuck into and i like it, i didn't realise that the bass went off the screen (or didn't remember) and that there was no RR, sorry i will check harder next time i pick a song.

anyway i have managed to get some scores........

Killers bass, has anyone got a fixed version i could have please ?

the lead i found pretty simple really,

if i can remember (most of  ) the notes it must be pretty easy.

and if i could get that strange chord in the RHCP song i'd get a nice score here too, nice tune.

Tomorrow will have 200th week of Championship starting. As always some fine goodies for you. I'll start it sooner then normal (but I will accept this week scores 'till exactly 7 days after this week started).

Did this a few days ago but forgot to post it.

I hear ya. I am just now starting on it because I was recouping from last week. I thought my fingers were callused enough, seems they aren't.

With me, it's not the calluses that are a problem, although now that I've only been playing twice per week, the only remaining one I have is a very thin one on my index finger of my fret hand. I'm sure it would be a problem here if I could play it more times in a row than I can, but my fingers on my other hand just don't have the stamina to keep up that pace beyond the first time.

The first time I played it the other day, I kept up alright, but the second time I began to falter half way through. I would start falling behind, and I didn't fall far enough behind that I missed a note, but I was noticeably off. The next couple times were more of the same. Played it 4.5 times that day and that was about all I could take.

Few more scores to tie off the week:

Love play on the Beginner.

This was really sloppy, I should try for better if I wake up at a decent time.

This was a really good run, easily would have made at least 90% if I didn't choke on the last hard bit.

My poor tired old man hands... Can't keep up with you kids. :sob:
