Clash

Nice song. Lead is really fun for beginner, some barre chords but also many easy single notes.

 

Supergroove

It's good that you like funk. Sad that bass has no slap/pop, as that was the funniest thing in their last song.

 

Simon & Garfunkel

Who would expect that this rock duo will come to visit us at Championship? Lovely tune, lead is like crazy arpeggios, but no solo, so it eases the difficulty. Rhythm has some tricky chords but it's not that bad.

 

Metallica

Best bass line by Cliff? Great song, and it's not that difficult as it would seem.

Orion is first from 4 MasterClass Metallica songs currently in Song Selection List. I won't go with back-to-back Metallica, but there will be a lot of it in the following weeks.

 

 

 

I had trouble (again) with bass ratings. I rated S&G lowest because it's that kind of bass line that does not give me much trouble, though I think that this short string skips can be deadly for some (as I'm using pick). Both Clash and Supergroove are quite similiar. Clash has more slides and is probably more complicated.

Oooofff - a difficult week for beginner bassists?  I've played that song 22 times and my best score is 99%...

My (seemingly) obligation to play advanced this week

There are some strange slides in this song, (4-6 with no starting or ending note)

I'ma have to play intermediate now to see whats up with that difficulty, but I do feel like this is a solid 7, the fretting hand is pretty dynamic, and there isnt a lot of comfort whithin this song, you'll either know it or you wont.

My first complaint is....HE DIDNT USE THE RIGHT BASS INTRO.....IM SO FURIOUS THAT I HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY INSTEAD OF CAPS LOCK...

Okay yes, there are two bass intros, one that cliff plays live, and the other is studio mix....the version here is the studio mix

This definitely belongs in mc...10 on difficulty

I was kinda shocked by this score too, since I never played Orion...most of my mistakes were at the end...

I think they're of equal difficulty really - i.e. intermediate, but I haven't been able to try the Clash song, because my converted Mac version of it is causing Rocksmith to crash. :(

I can say that Clash very fun the song, but lead very hard for beginner. I have ~70 missed notes in RR after second run. Would be good change.

Man the guitar setting on this one is LOUD AF. My ears are bleeding.

But pretty chill song. Im a little bit confused about the shredding part with the chords.

Seems wrong to me, but i dont know for sure.

We need a new rule. If you score this bad you should be forced into the shame corner and be put back into the beginner class. :blush:

 

I'm going to Sweden rock festival on Monday so i only have tomorrow to learn this song.  I highly doubt i can make it sound good.

@@MaZtoR My score was same at first run, at 3 about 75%, So yet may be you have time for improving sounds and score. Seems Gamut have very big chance to win. It hard for me too, arpeggio almost so hard how fast solo. But at least learnable, and very helpful for skill.

Rudy Can't Fail seems a little tough for beginners lead with the sliding barcords and frequent changes in position on the neck.

Thanks @ for yet one cool cdlc, i very like that awesome groove (but can not good to play   :) ).

Video proof at my terrible timing with Bass, which killed all groove in a song will there a bit late (40min), bcs of Youtube blocked video with Supergroove almost for  all country .
