  6. Guys I've been working to transpose some of the DT @Nacholede CDLC's from lower tunings on bass to a more common E standard, today I've managed to make it through with "Stream of Consciousness" and it sounds pretty nice I gotta say! :D so good news for the championship I guess! EDIT: working on panic attack right now! EDIT2: okay panic attack will be in D Standard which at least is a bit improvement from B Standard :)

My Jackson was made in 1996 in Japan (when Jackson was still making them in Japan). It does it's job the best way possible :D In some cases you can say that "imports" done in Japan are superior to "originals" created in US. But this knowledge is forbidden to unworthy :)

  16. this is proof that Dime was trained on guitar by Japanese Wizards cuz damn Magickal stuff right there. oh and if you dont know about japanese wizards one sec A real add on craiglist for a guitar. . . . . If you're based in the New York City area and are interested in playing "serious riffs and metal" then you might want to check out this Craigslist advert for a 1984 Ibanez DT350. On sale for $400, the ad was picked up by Guitar World for being one of the most ridiculous for-sale listings of all time. Check it out in full below (unless you're a fan of doom metal, that is...) "It's the X series, so it's serious as sh-t. [it's] not for wimp rock or doom metal. It's only for serious riffs and metal. "It's from 1984 (most likely older than you or your favorite sh-tty bands). It plays Eighties metal perfectly - Kreator, Motörhead, maybe some Venom, Judas Priest, Randy Rhoads(but if you want to play Randy Rhoads, you should buy a Randy Rhoads, you scum). "This guitar can also play Mötley Crüe and Megadeth. This guitar will be perfect for playing in a Mötley Crüe cover band (but you don't, though, because you don't have the chops). "THIS GUITAR WILL NOT PLAY DOOM METAL. This guitar needs to play GOOD RIFFS and not BORING doom riffs. If your favorite band is Black Sabbath, I can't sell this guitar to you. If you own a Fender or Gibson and want to upgrade, I can't sell this to you (Ibanez Japanese guitars are the PRIME of guitar craftsmanship crafted by the ancient Japanese wizards - if you think otherwise, you haven't played one of these HEAVY METAL BATTLE TANKS.) "If you want to play REAL GUITAR RIFFS, this guitar is for you! If you have a Marshall full-stack in your bedroom, THIS GUITAR IS FOR YOU. If you say you are ready to buy this guitar and show up to buy it wearing a Mastodon shirt, I can't sell it to you. I MEAN RIFFS, not some banjo jangle pentatonic sh-t. If you own an HM2, this guitar is perfect. You can get the perfect chainsaw distortion with these HOT HIGH GAIN RAIL PICKUPS. Real riffs only." Unfortunately, the ad has been flagged for removal by Craigslist, so we are unsure if the greatest metal guitar of all time (a steal at $400) is still available. It may be a while before we can find another guitar that was manufactured by Japanese wizards... link just incase you want to see the guitar http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/entertainment/this_craigslist_guitar_advert_is_utterly_bonkers.html?no_takeover

This isn't a Discography project, anyone who knows about Buck know that would be virtually impossible. There's over 100 Pikes and it would be impossible to try to do them all, he releases a new Pike pretty much every week and it doesn't look like he'll stop soon. This is for not only Pike tracks. @TomSawyer2112 convinced me that we should be doing more than the Pikes. Most of the tabs i'll be using are made by the transcribing mad genius, Bucketfel. I'll do as many as I can, probably only a fraction of the entire Pikes series, but we'll have more Buckethead to play. All songs made by me, unless otherwise stated. Bucketfel's Tab has a slide G11/13, and that sounds better, I prefer a bend on fret 12 I would have preferred N Y C named Hold me forever 1.N, Hold me forever 2.Y, Hold me forever 3.C they should be displayed together in RS in that order, because Y is in the continuity of N, while C is the final peek.

  31. You fucked something in EoF, I dunno what but you have managed a unique break. So well done on that :D How to fix: - Open your EoF project - In Beat menu open All Events - Delete them all one by one (highlight the top one then keep hitting delete, it takes like 15 seconds) - Save project (trust me) - Make new sections (see my instructions below) - Save EoF project and exit - Open toolkit with your saved template - Remove ALL arrangements (this can lead to some tone issues ask another question here if you make wrong tones) - Change DLCName (top left of tookit), make it MyCustom2 instead of MyCustom1 - Add arrangments again (check thoses tones) - Build - Enjoy - Release When making sections what I do (there are a million ways that work, this is how I personally do it) - Two white lines before the first gem (the coloured thing that makes notes in the game) I make section (press Shift + S) Intro - Then I look for when the first notes in the arrangement which comes in last (usually bass) occur. I make Verse1 on the first note of that arrangement. - Then make Verse2, Verse3, ..., VerseN according to what you want - Then the last section is Outro. This MUST have notes in it, from ALL arrangements, so I usually make Outro come 4 white lines before the last arrangement runs out of notes. Well that took longer to type than I thought, but I'd started so... And it is my personal opinion, there are other ways to do it, other magna's don't be giving me shit. Help the guy :D

Bandfuse export will be added in the near future. Released : Harpoon the Goon (Pike 03, 3 Foot Clearence) Work in Progress : ... (need some time to learn/play the Gold Dragon 2-6) B) I try to care about ghost and grace notes that get lost when importing tabs to EOF and to RS14, about the length of sustains and useless block notes in slides for best readability, fret hand positions for playability I define phrases first, with catalog, then gather them into sections, this way DD should work best. However Buckethead often doesn't have repeating patterns.

  46. I have a very musically talented family. My father sings and plays trombone, my mom plays piano and organ, and several of my aunts / uncles / cousins are music teachers or professional musicians (Opera singer). ...But that skipped me for quite a while. I never had any interest in learning an instrument until a friend got an electric guitar when I was 16-17 or so (I'm double that age now). Then I played his (strat clone) and liked it, so I requested one for a birthday present. My parents wanted me to try something similar to make sure I was going to actually work at it, so my music teacher aunt loaned me a ukelele. I didn't really like that anywhere near as much as the guitar, but I guess I put in enough effort to get the go-ahead because my folks and grandmother bought me an Epiphone Korina Explorer (Metallica fan so I like the explorer body style, and that was the cheapest one available at the time). I got decent-ish for being entirely self-taught. No lessons, just tabs and sharing notes with 2 other guitar playing friends. I never got any good at chords other than power chords, but I got almost ok at single-note riffs and solo stuff. But, I gradually lost interest since I never got any skill with chords and therefore couldn't really play many whole songs that I was interested in in their entirety. Went to college and played only very sporadically (2-3 times a year), but I think somewhere around age 21 or so I decided I should try bass so I bought a cheap Ibanez. I immediately clicked with that much much better than I ever had with guitar, even learning some songs all the way through which I never really had with guitar. Like a Stone by Audioslave was my first "I can play that whole song" moment. However, even though I enjoyed bass quite a bit, I didn't put much consistent practice into it. More than I had done with guitar, but still only played maybe 2-3 hours a month. That lasted 5 years or so, and then I decided to come to Thailand "for a year" to teach English since I wasn't finding the kind of employment that I was looking for with my degree in Computer Science post dot com bubble. I enjoyed it here, so one year turned into 8+ so far, with a wife, kid, and house here in Thailand now. I bought a very cheap acoustic guitar my first year here so I wouldn't be completely without, but only played it a few times a year. Then after 4 years here I took a trip back home to the US, and brought my Ibanez bass back here with me. Still played it some but not a great deal. ...Until I discovered Rocksmith 2014 about a year ago. Got me completely reinvigorated and hooked on playing again. I just play for my own pleasure -- I don't have any aspirations to be in a band or play in front of people really, so I don't mind that Rocksmith seems to be less naturally helpful at actually memorizing a song the whole way through than learning from tabs. I'm happy to use Rocksmith as a sight-reading tool, and in that way it is actually far superior to tabs at least in my estimation. Before Rocksmith, I'd look for tabs for songs and 9 out of 10 times I would think "meh, that looks too hard" and give up without even really trying to work at it for more than a few minutes. Now, with Rocksmith, I have a huge list of songs that I can sight-read and play to 98-99%+ accuracy, which is great fun for me. I'm nowhere near as good as some of the upper ranks of MC-level bass players here in the championship, but I'm already way better than I was just a year ago, and way better than I ever expected I would get period before I discovered Rocksmith. Before, playing bass or guitar was an amusing diversion for me once in a while. Now, I'm actually enjoying it much more and motivated to play for 30 minutes on up to 3-4 hours plus pretty close to every day. So, I think I owe a big debt of gratitude to Rocksmith (and the Championship here of course) for lighting that fire under my ass and getting me back into playing bass/guitar as a hobby in a big big way!

  47. I started to learn to play guitar when I was 13 years old when I was living with an Aunt in Puerto Rico. Since I was 8 or 9 I had always wanted to learn to play and I even had an old acoustic 12 string guitar that was given to me by who knows who lol but at that time my mom couldn't afford to pay for lessons so I just strummed the guitar and twisted the tuners without knowing what they did or were supposed to do (broke many of the strings doing this lol). When I moved with my Aunt she had an old beat up acoustic guitar lying around and my cousin also had a nice acoustic but he didn't know how to play it and he just lent it out to the church guitarist to play in church. My aunt let me have that old beat up acoustic and I started to learn a few things here and there. My first song I learned (or should i say attempted to learn) was La Bamba by los lobos and I learned it like how RS tries to teach you in the beginning with only a few notes at a time and that was cool with me. I had no professional instructors really but just a few friends that did know how to play and they would teach me a few of the basics like tuning and some chords but no scales. A few months later I finally came back home to live with my mom and she ended up buying me my first electric guitar bundle package(an Epiphone Aria Pro II which had a whammy bar and a small amp). I loved that guitar and used to take it everywhere with me lol (was only 14 at the time) but the only things i knew how to play were the basic chords and some simple songs here and there. Still not being able to afford lessons and not being able to buy books to try and teach myself with I hit a plateau and got very discouraged with the guitar. So i moved on to other things and would just basically pick up the guitar once a month or so. Then 2 years ago I saw a Deal of the Day from bestbuy that showed the original Rocksmith on sale for 29.99 for the PS3 and I was intrigued. I bought it that day and picked it up and immediately tried it out. I loved it from the moment I tried it but due to the interface and the game pretty much forcing you to tune the guitar after every song I quickly ended up falling back into the same pattern of picking up the guitar once a month again. I had found Smithyanvil back then but even the huge amount of customs just wasn't enough for me to keep going through the horrendous tuning after every song crap. It wasn't until Rocksmith 2014 was released that I was finally able to actually become serious with the guitar. The first month it was released was a pain because you could only play the songs that they had officially released with it but I stuck with it and kept going to Smithyanvil every day checking the status of the customs project and when they finally released the dll and the customs started coming I was hooked. I finally mustered up the courage to join the championships back in the early weeks and have since been improving because of RS and this CS. I have purchased around 5 guitars this year alone and will be adding more to my collection lol. So in essence I am pretty much a combination of self taught and RS taught. The lessons mode and the Guitarcade are some of the best tools you can use to teach you guitar and I am so happy that I made the investment in this game. So to cut the story short I am now 35 years old so for over 20 years before RS came out I was a guitarist who only picked up his guitar maybe once a month and sometimes not even that. So even though RS isn't perfect it is however an awesome tool to help someone learn to play guitar.

  48. Tried to teach myself to play guitar when i was 16 years old. It did not work and i quit after a few months. 14 years later (dec 2013) i found Rocksmith 2014, so drove over to my parents house and dug up my old crappy guitar and tried it. Loved it from the start. Then in February i found this excellent championship. So its: 1 year played 42weeks in this championship

  49. I always wanted to play guitar, but never got a chance to get my hands on one. Many years later in January 2011, I bought Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock and Metallica (as a big fan of thrash gods and rhythm games). That experience was making my desire to play real guitar stronger. It was enhanced by Rocksmith, as I was big fan of it, since first previews, but did not wanted to get it on console. I was not a fan of tracklist in original game, I didn't pick it up, but when RS2014 came out (and I learned about cdlc) I had no choice but to get a game and guitar. That was late November 2013. So that's one year with my Jackson.

  50. Exactly the same story as yours @missis summer, more or less though I still play guitar a little bit now and the when I get my hands on one :) been playing bass for almost 2 years, every day for at least 2 hours, sometimes up to 10 hours when I can seize the opportunity of grandma's having their GK's for 24 hours :). I found at first that rs wasn't great for actually remembering the song but then I realised I was partly responsible for that so I memorise short phrases play songs through on hard SA and look away from the screen when I get to the memorised sections, I'll do that with every phrase until I can play it in master mode... That said, I still can only play 7 songs on master :D... But I reckon muscle memory is improving as a result of that :)
