  3. Hi I play guitar for two years now. My biggest difficulty are barre chords. I can play them flawlessly, but after 1 or 2 minutes of a song that consists of barre chords my right hand ( I am a lefty) starts aching and my playing gets inaccurate. I think the pressure of my finger on the fretboard is too high, but if I try to play more relaxed Rocksmith refuses to recognize the chord.Anyone else with the same problem or any hint for resolving this? Thx

  5. Possibly due to the ads? There are a few websites that I frequent that just refuse to load sometimes. My browser task bar will say "waiting for blah, blah, doubleclickads, blah". I sometimes have to refresh it a few times to make it load. I don't seem to have any issues here, though. I'm almost always using Chrome. The spinner will flutter a bit, on and off, but stops after a few seconds. There's a lot of stuff going on when a web page loads that you never see. Most modern sites are designed to get the experience ahead of the work so the "visitor" doesn't run away to another site.

  7. CURRENT WIP progress report: Artist: Ely Guerra Song: Mi Playa http://www.mediafire.com/?v7khksqax8pk3 Arrangements: Rhythm and lyrics only (for now, maybe in the future ill be masochistic enough to tab the bass by ear myself since there are ABSOLUTELY no traces of any bass tabs of this particular song all throughout the internet) Rhythm: "skeleton" of the chords is done with a few mistakes at the end (a few chords got deleted or i dunno, they are supposed to be 030550 or something like this if memory serves me right), ill take a break and work on it later today. Lyrics: DONE Tone: AWESOME, couldnt ask for more ID: Cherub The end of the song has less guitar and more piano, still youll be playing as guitar hopefully it sounds ok.

  9. Slides: for an unpitched slide: select the note->ctrl+u->set the ending fret->scroll your mousewheel to extend the slide just like you would a sustain. For a pitched slide do the same, but instead of ctrl+u you press ctrl+up arrow or down arrow (depending on the direction of the slide) There were a few fast 2-fret slides in the song that you hadn't added any length to, so they appear as a wierd little line. Easily fixed though.

  10. Glad you enjoyed it, Deratio. It is a heck'uva fun song to play. Especially on bass. :) Once I re-Tab those incorrect fills that were in the GP Bass tab, and look at the Guitar Outro section, as I recall needing to re-tab some of that too (I just did a copy and paste there to fill in what was missing), then I'll post the updated version probably. Oh yeah, I need to figure out how to add slides by hand in EoF today too. There's that one slide up the bass does in the Outro I never was able to tab correctly, because I couldn't figure out how to add the slide in EoF. So I just left it as a sustain until I could learn how to do it. haha... But thank you very much for comments. Hopefully I'll get this thing the way I want it soon. I want to start on another. hahaha... :)

  11. K I just played it, and it plays great! There were a few runs in there that sounded like shit, but I'm pretty much positive that it was down to my playing. This is one of those Beatles songs like And Your Bird Can Sing that is going to take me months to pull up to 97%+. It' never the songs by them that I expect to be the hard ones. Like Obla-di Obla-da - omfg that's a tricky song to pull off right. Thanks for this, man, this'll give me something to chew on :)

  15. A Klondike bar is a yummy ice cream treat here in the states. There were these crazy commercials for a while showcasing what people would do for a Klondike bar. They were very popular for a while. Can probably find some on youtube. That being said .. personally, not much. Up the stakes and we can talk :)

  16. I started to play games at the age of 4. My first console was Pegasus (the European clone of NES or Famicom) and my favorite game on this console was The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (1992) and I really recommend it to you (an emulator, a ROM and there you go). Sometimes I re-play it, because it was a great game for me and still it brings me fun. There we're also a lot of classics like Contra, Contra Force, Tiny Toon Adventures which we're also nice. Then PSX ruled my life. Every Crash game that came out (there we're 5 games if I remember correctly). I achieved over 90% completion on almost every one of them, except on the third one - Warped in which I achieved 100%. Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone was also a nice adventure. Those we're the times, when games based on movies we're done nicely. The Resident Evil trilogy, Tekken 3, Ace Combat trilogy, Gex trilogy - let the memories be with you. PSX was the platform on which "THIS" game came out. The title was Metal Gear Solid. It was one of the best experiences on games that I had in my life. It is a shame that I didn't complete it. There are still some classics that I didn't play like Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which I will play on my PSP later. Then my father bought a PC (it was 2002) - I didn't have a solid, stable and fast Internet connection until 2010. My friends and the rest of the family we're bringing me games. All the GTA games from the "III Era" I played for fun. I didn't care about the story or objectives, I was using cheats and doing free roam :D . The best games of my early years on PC I can recall are: the NFS franchise (starting from Hot Pursuit 2), Colin McRae Rally 2.0, Sonic franchise and a lot of freeware games like Happyland Adventures. Then I bought myself a PS2, which now has laser problems, but I will buy a new one and everything will be ok. With this platform I will have the best memories ever. Metal Gear Solid 3 (Subsistence) - one of the best games I've ever played. The whole Sly franchise, Shadow of the Colossus (didn't complete it, because of the laser problems), God of War II, WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011, Def Jam: Fight for NY, Ratchet & Clank 2, Resident Evil 4 (also one of the best games I've ever played), Ace Combat 4, 5 and Zero, Medal of Honor: European Assault (still playing it with a friend on split-screen), SSX 3 (OMG, this one's also a masterpiece), Tony Hawk franchise (ProSkater 4 is my favorite), Beyond Good & Evil, Call of Duty 3 (this one's the best from the WWII era of CoD for me), Red Dead Revolver - these are my favorites that I remember. If you have something to recommend then tell me.Then PSP came in. Sid Meier's Pirates!, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (one of the best games I've ever played - 150 hours), LocoRoco franchise, Patapon 1 & 2 (have problems with the final boss in 2), God of War franchise, The 3rd Birthday, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (actually left it, played it 18 hours and didn't make a progress, but still it's a solid game for me harder than Dark Souls), Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact, Ace Combat X, GTA: Liberty City Stories, Worms: Open Warfare 2, Tetris ( :D ), shift EXTENDED, Gun Showdown - my PSP favorites. My favorite games for PC by years:2004 - NFS: Underground 2 (my favorite NFS), Scrapland, Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (I completed this game on three different platforms - PC, PS2 and PSP), 18 Wheels of Steel: Across America, Neighbours form Hell 22005 - GTA: San Andreas (my favorite GTA), Call of Duty 2, NFS: Most Wanted, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (This game is so good that I will play it again in nearby future), Battlefield 2 (a lot of memories), Counter-Strike: Source, Psychonauts, Worms 4: Total Mayhem 2006 - LEGO Star Wars II, NFS: Carbon, Rayman: Raving Rabbids2007 - World in Conflict (my favorite RTS), CoD 4 and Crysis2008 - Assassin's Creed, Fallout 3 (played it after New Vegas, I still have to do a lot of things on this Wastelands), Far Cry 2 (IMO better than FC3) and maybe GTA IV (but SA is better), World of Goo (Hah, this one gave a lot of fun), Audiosurf, GRID (That's one hell of a racing game), Pure (ATV rulez!)2009 - Assassin's Creed II, Batman Arkham Asylum, CoD: MW2, L4D2 (This one will never die...or maybe if Valve will learn to count to three), DiRT 2 (my favorite off-road racing game), Burnout Paradise (my favorite open-world arcade-style racing game), CoJ: Bound in Blood (great memories with that one, especially that the game was made by polish Techland), Street Fighter IV (a fighting game that came out on PC after some long time), Section 8, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Plants vs. Zombies, World in Conflict: Soviet Assault (a small, but interesting expansion), Braid (a beautiful game with an interesting ending)2010 - Sid Meier's Civilization V (my favorite turn-based strategy game), Splinter Cell: Conviction, Fallout: New Vegas (one of the best games in my life...), Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood (DAT Rome), CoD: Black Ops, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (Best BF game - still playing it), Bejeweled 3 (a simple game, but fun), Super Meat Boy2011 - TES V: Skyrim (Words won't describe this game, this game describes itself), The Witcher 2 (tie with Skyrim), Deus Ex: HR, Batman: Arkham City (one of the best action-adventure games ever for me), Driver: San Francisco ( the best story in the racing games), LEGO Star Wars III (this one I was playing with my younger brother), The Walking Dead from Telltale (I still hate this episode formula), Portal 2, Bulletstorm, Rayman Origins (this one was fun) 2012 - Dishonored, Far Cry 3 (this one is a good game, but it never gave me such fun as FC2 did), Hitman: Absolution, Max Payne 3 (a great game, but I hate it's linearity), Sleeping Dogs, Borderlands 2 (Oh, memories...), Torchlight II (actually playing it with friends), Dark Souls (I didn't complete it, I'm in the Sen's Fortress), Spec Ops: The Line, Transformers: Fall od Cybertron (one of the best TPS games ever), CS: GO (the best CS for me), Street Fighter X Tekken, XCOM - Enemy Unknown (this one also left some memories), Castle Crashers. Now to the current games. Dust: An Elysian Tail and FEZ are masterpieces that I won't forget for sure. Skullgirls is a nice game. Trails Evolution: Gold Edition was also a nice experience. Also a lot of conversions from other platforms came out like Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (this one gives me more fun than any game of the God of War franchise), Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (as a fan of the MGS franchise I find this game good), Mortal Kombat (HELL YEAH!). Also don't forget that Rocksmith 2014 came out. At the moment I'm playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and it's the best action-adventure game I've ever played. Really. The story, character, audio (What should we do with drunken sailor...), Caribbeans, hunting, sailing...I wish I could have Sid Meier's Pirates game in TPP, 3D and everything...and Ubisoft served it. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a great game. It's as good a Chaos Theory for me. BioShock Infinite - I didn't really like the game. Story was the only thing why I played it. Call of Juarez: Gunslinger - the game that describes what a "shooter" is. Outlast - The hide'n'seek formula was boring for me, so I left the game. Tomb Raider was a short and not so interesting experience for me. Just a game to kill some time.I'm still waiting for the PS3 price to become lower...there are so many games like Red Dead Redemption, GTA V or Metal Gear Solid IV that I jus have to play. I still have to play franchises like Gothic, Mass Effect, BioShock, Prince of Persia, Metro, Final Fantasy or Silent Hill.

  17. I've actually been working on this but gave up since no bass tabs are near correct as you've seen (I'm really anal about my McCartney basslines). Plus I couldn't find a decent tone for the lead guitar. I'm with Mad_Duck on this, the clean tone works well here, I like the sound of it, but it seems to need some overdrive or a little fuzz on it.. I wish I could explain but I couldn't figure the biting tone out myself. Also I think the lead was charted wrong in the outro (another reason I sort of gave up on it, something just sounded off). I did get the vocals done with the banter at the end (where McCartney says "don't look at me man, I only have ten children") if you want to incorporate it into your custom, here is the ,XML for the vocals, it should match up with a little tweaking. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bw1viuBmD0SENk5oYUg1U1BRVDg/edit?usp=sharing You're more than welcome to it, if it helps.I have several of these songs that are kicking my ###. I'd love to see this one finished.

  18. One other thing to keep in mind is that those ghost notes (the ones where the fret numbers are in parentheses () ) will not be exported, because that is not a technique that Rocksmith supports. If you want them to be displayed in-game, you can remove the ghost status from one or more notes at a time by selecting the note(s) and using the "Note>Pro guitar>Remove ghost" function.

  22. I got 83% twice in a row on lead. I can hear how the B (Yellow 2) following open D (Blue 0) sounds correct. When I learned the song though, I never noticed it, so it was almost crippling to try and hit it. :D RR works, the outro passages seemed a wee bit long, but I wouldn't bother trying to shorten them on this song, but maybe consider it on later songs. (DD didn't drop down for me, cause hey I'm an expert player and all that (yes of course, lol)) I played on my tele's neck humbucker and it sounded quite decent. (as a minor, minor quibble you might want a bit more gain, and/or bump up the fuzz, but subtly, because your tone already sounds good) I also tried the lead arrangement on my bridge singe coil, but it didn't sound full enough, so I kept wanting to hit an overdrive pedal. (But I think it was played on an SG, so dialing it in for humbuckers is the logical choice) ...my semi-final opinion, I'd tell you to not make any big changes, just little tweaks if you feel you have to. I've got to restring my bass in the next week or so, but will try to check back, and give feedback on the bass too.

  27. I've had this problem. Here are some thoughts I've worked out on it: Fret hand pressure: I have a constantly reoccurring problem of pressing down on the strings too much. It causes the notes to go sharp, and then doesn't get read properly by RS. This is especially prevalent when I'm doing Barre Chords, as I'm trying real hard to get them. I am constantly telling myself to relax.Arpeggiated sequences: I have an arpeggiated Am sequence in Peruvian Skies that I always seem to miss the high e string on. I notice that when I have a few strings ringing out, RS has a hard time hearing that high e. I've been experimenting with fret hand muting my notes when I get to that high e to give RS a 'cleaner' tone to listen to. I wonder if it gets washed out.Full strums: A lot of times, I'll miss a power chord and not understand why. When I think about my strums, and get a full motion in, I am pretty accurate. When I get fast, I tend to miss a string or muddy it up, or get strings I shouldn't because I'm failing to mute a string or whatever.Volume Pot: Sometimes, I'll adjust my volume pot down a bit so I can hear the song better, and forget about it. Some tones don't have as much amplification as others, and so it will cause RS to not register a note. So I'm always checking that thing to make sure it's all the way up.I was at a point where I blamed RS, but I've moved on. I'm not sure it's blameless, but I do think I'm the problem more often then not. I agree with checking intonation and string action as well, as a well set up guitar is important. I'm not saying any of these are your problems, but things to think about, and maybe they'll help others who come here having problems. I'm quite new to playing guitar, so I tend to think I'm the problem. Cheers!
