This week started out as a da capo week, but the MC song is now ODLC, so I started rooting around and cobbled together a week that seemed more like a variation rather than a pure da capo.  So, beware the pirates (and the low tuning) for the beginner class.  The intermediate class gets a study in arpeggios.  Arpeggios seem super tough until you start getting them, so keep at it!  Advanced gets a nice song I hadn't heard before (with some arpeggios as well I believe).  I threw in Kind of Magic on bass, the lead parts boring so not included, but the bass is super fun to play.  Masterclass gets some Metallica.

Oh, what a week! - One of my most fav weeks of all time.

 

Wonderful songs to play and to listen to. The crazy pirates with one of the heaviest beginner tunes we ever had, the one piece puzzle and zebra made it to my regular spotify playlist since played, what is that .. 6 years ago. Plus some ´tallica nad some Queen, and Sabaton Album final week.

That´s what i love about the championships, getting to work with a lot of unknown music and discovering wonderful bands i would have never gave enough attention, bands that are in my favourite bands of them all list now like Muse, Metric, Buckethead, Wolfmother, Tom Petty, A7X, Gloryhammer, Devin Townsend, and not to forget the great great Rob White Zombie, Ghost, Gojira, The Ventures or the Misfits.

Ah, just can´t wait to get to my guitar and have a few runs on that weeks selection.

I have no idea why such a rating, but it's completely wrong. This is technically difficult track, I'd rate it minumum 7.

I am in same opinion. At first sight it seems an impossible mission for me. :)

Last week the Jethro Tull song was rated also 3. Technically there are huge difference between the two songs.

Eh. Hardly anything to play and its mostly lead stuff anyway. Bet bass is better.

I'll take a look at it again.  I rated it months ago, but I see I rated it a 4.  Maybe I got my spreadsheet wires crossed.  I'll play it again and see.  My apologies, I was trying to quickly slot in a song for beginner rhythm.

I remember this song being my pick back in week 52.  Played it so damn much but never managed to play the solo.  got 99% on Rhythm and got moved to advanced a lot earlier than i wanted.   This time the only part I missed are the damn bends.

I pulled Kind of Magic from beginner rhythm.  I must have written something down incorrectly months ago when I first played it, it is at least a 7, and not a very compelling play at that.
