  1. It's taken a little longer in RR to get Mr, Blue Sky up to a decent score. 98% on bass, so far, but I plan to have this one well above 99% in a couple of days.

  2. I have played Ghengis a few times in RR @ 80% speed and i feel my speed limit is around there. Tried playing it at 100% after but it was horrible. But after watching @@2groggy for some time i have learned that you can make your own rules. So here is my improvement. 3. Hi all, thanks to my favourite PC to Mac Converting assistant ;) i have some scores to post this week, firstly the beginner bass to warm up with, then Int Bass to shout at, this really doesn't look that hard but I'm buggered if i can do it, finally the ELO Lead which is a bit of a hand cramper for me, I'll get better on this once my big gorilla hands start to get supple again, and i'll get better on the Bass once my brain gets supple again, night night

  5. lil + http://up.picr.de/27635324fl.jpg goddamit that middle part is way above my speedlimit to make it sound anything like the song, but a greta practice it is. I am sure the last 2 1/2 weeks have pushed my playing, esp. my speed and my pinkie more than the last 6 months... yeah

  6. Ok, maybe I was too lucky with my runs on ELO and Maiden :D With Mr. Blue Sky - it had tricky parts but slow and on sustains, so I gave it lower rating (and you @@missis sumner, you didn't rated it at all!). Genghis Khan has chords? I might have forgot about that.

  7. I Genghis Khan't! :P http://i.imgur.com/d3vw8w2.png?1 I tried this on SA first, thinking from the preview snippet I listened to "oh yeah, I've got this!".....then it gets to that bit! X-X-X! My brain seems to shut down and refuse to recognise colours anymore at that point lol! http://i.imgur.com/NMrBz6W.png?1 Why would it show 92.4% yet 91% accuracy?

  9. Oh, yeah, slight improvement on ELO: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKWmp1VU16c0F0MFk/view?usp=sharing It probably didn't help that I played the other version, then the old version before I gave the right version another go...

  12. Due To A Complete Loss Of Any Feedback And Very Poor Navigation To The Charters Record Page In CustomsForge's New Ignition search. I Plan On only releasing my Classic Rock Customs Here at the Classic Rock Coalition Social Group For CRC Guests and Members Only!. Hopefully Guests will at least give some feedback here, If There Isn't any Feedback By Guests, I guess I will Only Post My New Customs To The Full Members Forum, where I do Get Feedback Regularly. I am Sad It Has Come To This, But What Else Can I Do? All I Have To Say To CustomsForge's Administrators And Moderators Is Please Treat The Magna Charters Here With Some Respect, And Please Try To Give Them A Little Recognition For All There Time That The Charters Have Spent On Creating The Fantastic Customs Posted At CustomsForge. And Now They Are Available For Anybody To Download And Play On Guitar. For Myself I Need No Recognition, I Chart The Tunes I Have Always Wished I New How To Play And Thanks To SmithyAnvil and CustomsForge, I Have Been Able To Chart All The Tracks And Have Fun Attempting To Play Them, Because I Want Too. I Don't Have Too, For Sure. If Any CustomsForge Adminastrators Or Moderators want To Reply, Please PM Me. And Not Post A Message Here At The Classic Rock Coalition "Private Full Members Forum", Thanks. Later, Terry, aka: avdocatwork

  13. I'm surprised ELO is only a 4 (did I rate it that?) and I think the Maiden is harder than a 6, but we can suggest final scores when the week's up. I think the bass songs are in the right order. :) I agree, the songs are in the right order, it's me that's in the wrong class! :P I wrote a great big thing here about how I'd attempted previous weeks INT/ADV tracks and don't even know what a 5, 6 or 7 grading really is anymore based on my adventures with Sheela Na Gig**, Time Warp and Riverboat Song compared to recent tracks....then realised I'm being way too analytical and probably need to just go have a cup of tea and a lie down in a dark room with the sound of RS lesson "Attaching your strap" in the background. :P But yes, @missis-sumner ELO is not a 4! :D Great selection though! Very much my cup of tea (no offence Maiden fans, IM really isn't for me, though I will at least attempt again to get over 85%) :) ** For the record, if a track involves slap that counts me well out...I'm only just starting to attempt to learn to slap - VERY slowly and badly and only on the E string! (I seem to just get harmonics on the others strings, which is funny because when I try to play actual harmonics I can't!) :P

  14. So as the topic suggests this thread will be about how to get the best out of your guitar playing experience while using Rocksmith 2014. Rocksmith has a number of tunings that are available for many songs especially with all the customs out there. However unless you have the appropriate strings on your guitar you may experience a lot of note recognition problems. I was going to write a long out post but instead I found mostly what I was looking for with a google search. This Link in detail (and much better than I would be able to) how to take care of your strings and how to choose which strings are best for you. For Rocksmith if you tend to play songs in low tunings you will most likely be forced to change your strings to a heavier gauge string because of the recognition issues. Tunings like Drop D and C Standard or D Standard will cause you many recognition problems if you are using standard .09 - .46 gauge strings. For these tunings it is recommended that you use either .10(.11) - .52(.56) or heavier gauge strings. The following links which were provided by @ are great videos with explanations on how to setup a guitar. Everyone should watch them and read the article I linked as it has some great information available. String Tension (D’Addario recommended) After replacing strings to a thicker (or thinner) need to do: 1. Setting Up Your Stratocaster Guitar: Adjusting The Truss Rod 2. Setting Up Your Stratocaster Guitar: Bridge Action Height Adjustment 3. Setting Up Your Stratocaster Guitar: Nut Action height Adjustment 4. Setting Up Your Stratocaster Guitar: Intonation Adjustment How To Set up a Strat Floating Tremolo | Two Pivots Tremolo | Whammy Bar For Russian good video - full setup up guitar Also for those who are much more knowledgeable about this please feel free to add to this thread. You all may post links or articles which have more detailed information or post your own comments as well.

  15. Hey @@Fraggle Baggle I get the exact same thing the bloody X-X-X's ...... usually just before the nice easy 44444 bit at the end, something in that song brain washes you into thinking that the colours and numbers are all mixed up. I think I'd be happy with 92% though.

  26. As per most weeks, I try to pound out a quick decent score on an easy one 100% on Shut Me up on bass I'll start working my way up in difficulty, but I admit that I won't sneak into the MC Bass clubhouse for at least 2 reasons: 1) D Drop C tuning 2) I'm afraid of being seen to be in any way involved with J-pop-cutsy-lingerie bands for fear of being labeled a dirty old man

  29. It's a 4-string thing, clearly ;) I have one too (gathering dust now! ) I blame that advert (forget what it was for now) for getting one - the one with the guy on the train platform singing to the girl on the other side. My sis, on the other hand says I only wanted one to feel like I'm a giant (I'm 5' 3" with diddy hands lol :D ) If you haven't already check out Ukehunt for tabs and The Ukulele Teacher on Youtube. ;) Have fun! :)

  34. FreeBird Recruits! WOOT! I am finally building my army of minions! The one truly crazy week that I have every year, and that's when the cake fight starts. Damn - I missed it. In the true FreeBird spirit of live and let live (but mock everything possible in a good natured manner), I will now play whatever song that was that started the cake fight using my homemade 25.5" scale travel bass. Of course the strings are as stout as bridge suspension cables, but they are still on a guitar neck. And the best part of this is that nobody can threaten to disqualify me and I wouldn't care if they could :P (take that FreeBird police!) Edit - scratch that thought. I just listened to the MC selection and I would never get up to speed on that song, plus I am not a fan of that genre in the slightest. If you like it, then rock on; It's just not for me. Next week starts tomorrow, so I'll skip making a submission this week. C'est la vie.

  35. Hi, Guys I will not post any more general chatting messages here at this "Private" Classic Rock Coalition Members Only Forum "Social Group" Until firekorn, and ZagatoZee and other Admin and Moderators of CustomsForge drop themselves from there uninvited entry and adding themselves to this Social Groups following this Topic list and getting alerts when Members here post a message. And I do not appreciate the Admin and Moderators voicing there opinions at this Private Forum that is "By Invitation Only". I am sure you know by now, The CRC has plans to move and chat elsewhere. And the chatting is not against or putting down CustomsForge. It's just voicing our opinions to each other in the group. There are Staff members like fripponomic and Liquidlizard and others that have been invited to the CRC. And are welcome to go to HipChat with us. If any other full members of the Classic Rock Coalition would like to move with us, send your email address to Aludog or avdocatwork in a PM and we will be happy to let you join us at the new CRC Forum at HipChat.com.
