Liked the songs this week but tough week for bass! I don't think the really was a beginner level song on bass. I'd have ranked the Nirvana song a little harder, probably around a 6 than Coheed and Cambria, around a 5. I'm supposed to spend the weekend doing my taxes, but one of my song choices came up... And the song choice matches the pickguard on the guitar that I haven't played in months... So I'll need lots and lots of time in Riff Repeater... And then I'll have to play it on bass... and then I'll have to play advanced bass for my own competition. The taxman will understand the delay, won't he?

Story of my life while practicing Lazy in riff repeater: Play at 95% speed - 0 misses. First play at 100% speed - 23 misses. Guess I'll go practice some more at slower speeds. And then maybe go at 96, 97, 98, and 99 percent if I'm still getting destroyed at full speed. (And yes, I'm aware I'm not in master class. The song is really fun to play. The advanced song is also pretty fun.)

don't know what's up this week but they all kicked my butt. i couldn't get the beginner level without a strike, and it didn't get any better as i tried the harder ones. i'm hoping the next set will be something i can tie into.

Honestly, I haven't played the rhythm or bass parts of Surfing since the day I finished it. If anyone has any feedback regarding Surfing with the Alien, such as incorrect notation, timing, or bend strength, please post in the thread where I listed it, and I'll review it. I've had very little time to cram in bass practice so since my first runs on beg', int' and adv' I have literally practiced NONE and just meandered around with non championship songs that I like to listen to... then I came back to Nirvana for a bit because the bass line's pretty :) So... before I move on Saturday and since my internet is getting cut off tomorrow, a video. This is what the championships are here for and I love hearing stories like this. I too have found many new bands that I would have never thought to listen to because of the championships and my playing has gotten so much better because of the championships. I am happy that the CS has helped you so much @@Mortalo and I know that if you keep up with it there is no limit as to what you can learn.

@@MaZtoR Can`t stop to play a fun song, and unlike a song Coheed, so if you want fun, you need join there to intermediate and beat my score. :D yes this score: http://i.imgur.com/9TmW7ti.jpg Found that i always missed not double stop bends, but next note on 4th string, bcs of a bit continue bend 4th string fingertip (bend was up), so i started play bends down and no more miss there. And yet i follow method by@ with a few frethand muted strings and found it a bit easier, than play at one muted string.

Working with WWise We start off by creating a new project. I use "Wwise" subdirectory of my working folder: http://i.imgur.com/oN3QxPw.png (Side note: I don't see any point of adding samples, responses, etc... to project.) Next, we right-click on the "Default Work Unit" under the "Interactive Music Hierarchy" tree item and import 2 .wav files. One is the preview.wav created step earlier and the second is the song itself. After import we expand the Default Work Unit, which consists of those imported files: http://i.imgur.com/V2REyx4.png Click on the song file (that blueish one): - on the "General Settings" enable Stream: http://i.imgur.com/Bk9EvPv.png - on the "Source Settings" check "Override parent" http://i.imgur.com/5olM87n.png - Click "Edit" after selecting "Vorbis Quality High" and change the sample frames to 16384 and click the "Convert" button selecting "Windows" as the platform: http://i.imgur.com/tfcTaM0.png Do this with both files (original song and the preview). Our work with Wwise is over after one step: We need to copy all .wem files from the WWise ".cache/Windows/SFX" subdirectory, which we set at the creation of this project (mine was: C:\MyRS14Customs\Working\Behemoth_OvFire\Wwise\Behemoth - Ov Fire And The Void.\cache\Windows\SFX), into our CLDC working directory (mine: C:\MyRS14Customs\Working\Behemoth_OvFire) and rename both files like this: "Ov Fire And The Void.wem" and "Ov Fire And The Void_preview.wem"
