thanks for the week @mikson ! this amorphis one seemed pretty tough but it does repeat alot so i was able to kinda learn the melody by th end even though it does modulate to another key, did f

It's time for a heavier guitar sound! This week, drop your tuning down a whole step, as I've chosen to selection of songs in either D Standard or D drop C modified tuning.

It's not a low enough tuning that you can't play songs on standard strings, but I'll add a pitch shifter versions here later if anyone has problems.

*Difficulty ratings may change slightly, and of course I encourage to share your own ratings.

SIDE CHALLENGE - Let´s COVER some [23]

Rules? No rules! We pick a song and everybody is invited to share his version. Songs shall be called every week, if you don´t manage to nail your version within the week - entrances are ALWAYS welcome. No winners, no losers, just fun and personal progress, a bit bringing in the harvest of the hard work we all do here every week by converting to own produced music, and (for me very important) learning (easy versions) of songs to be able to play them anytime when a guitar is in the room - and that shall be a part of thinking on the next song selection maybe.

So - as we had Toto - Africa last week SO MUCH RESPONSE AND PARTICIPATION!!!!!! JUST GREAT, yay!!!! Everyone who has not finished his cover - just post whenever ready in the running week (yes, this one) so we all will recognise it.

pah. amorphis...... no, not starting to write on that band cause i wanna play. just... i think i´ll listen to tales from the 1000 lakes album that afternoon

(3.5-4), yes. great track.

It´s such an amorphis thing to do - take the riff to another key at the end of the song, as old pop songs did all the time 🙂
