I will not try to bang my head against a wall and get 100%. That's could be possible but in my case it will more lucky coincidence than skill. So I stop here now:

ebGTeXm.jpeg

I also made result with 217 streak but surprisingly with 98.77% accuracy only.

And if someone as blind as myself:

8cHEvWa.png There's a bend too.

Tried to fix sections in Lead to practice it in more convenient way. But I'm doing something wrong. Nothing has changed in RS.

I tried some exercises but I'm not as good as others 😉

@ Rodman  exercises, medium speed, overall this wasn't too difficult but I had trouble with the part on the 5-7-9 frets. @ johnal  You've achieved 100% here at high speed, amazing! I wonder exactly what fingers you use for such frets?

dc8d7WA.jpeg

Then @ Daz40 exercise. Easier chart because everything is in one hand position. Here the speed increases gradually and single misses appeared somewhere around 110-120 Bpm, but above 150 it was already a mess for me 😆

What i love about the C´hampionships?..... Coming home after 13 hours of ultra-exhausting work ... and dead tired sitting down not in front of the tv but to nail some crazy

man ... pure fun.

Decided to go very pure on the first one here - no backings, just guitar and (yikes, sorry) voice. What a beast - we are in C#min (!) and to make it slide down the original a bit only non standard chords almost only all the way - sorry for that, didn´t realise - just did the pick because it was up and it´s a monster-classic. Still such a cool song. That was intense 2.5 hours just now - love it. Good thing: pressing record brought back memries how to do that all. Didn´t do any setup (except tuning) - but i think the guitar sound is good (pardon my playing). Guitar and vocals done in one take each. Pah - i haven´t been singin for 4 years - damn .... it was bad - and now it´s unspeakable, but it´s fun - i probably won´t stop. sorry.
Gn8

Ps: Forgot to say - i do love that acoustic guitar 🙂 As i try to learn a song to remember any and every week you might hear that one often i guess. Breaking down songs to the pure minimum is time-consuming but a very enjoyable thing for me.

Seems like you pretty much nailed the song with 99% tho congrats!

Here i did a quick edit of the Pierce the Veil song with more sections. feel free to use it (anyone reading aswell).
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1i-cDFtvAnNzO7Ug2fQ2BJeHuh1VmCRdt/view?usp=sharing
(should be slightly more practiceable with the added sections although there's more that could be done honestly)

You were on one of the right paths of fixing it (there's always multiple ways to "fix" or do something).

1-the best would obviously be that the charter would update it. But iirc lil ramen got busy with life.

2-the second is by doing it manually your self (like you were doing)  So I'll give you some tips:
qytwclz.jpeg
download dlc builder and make sure you have those boxes ticked in the settings menu. This will make fixing charts easier and you will only have to do this once.

Drag the cdlc into dlc builder.

Now open up the new project in eof. It will no longer be across multiple tabs aka dynamic difficulty ( the ones with numbers and stars on them (if it has a star it means it has notes))  All the notes of a path will soley be in one tab.

Once you select the path with notes you would probably want to delete the sections/phrases since they might be placed in odd  spots
beat-  Events - clear all events
this will remove all phrases and sections
or
you can choose which sections you want to delete by going
(top bar menu) beat-events -all events- *here you select the phrase/section you want to delete*- delete

2 a) Theoritically you could just save and rebuild the psarc now.
Dlc builder has an automatic option if no phrases are in the project which will allow more places to practice.

2 b) If you want more specific/ precise sections
select the arrow with the bar number - press shift s-  select one of the names on the list like in your pic. If the names are blue that means there are no notes in that section, it will turn green if there are notes.  make sure create phrase is also ticked.

Repeat the above untill you filled the chart with sections -> save and rebuild the package.
---

3 The other option is doing it via cfsm. here you would put repair cdlc or remove dd...i dont remember since i dont really use it but that would be the quickest in theory..

Last but not least if you ever get lost in any of those steps you can always ask someone on customsforge Discord channel. There's lots of active creators there who are more knowlegdable in these areas, you would just need to type in #creators or in #eof

I dig the acoustic interpretation of it!! when you said do africa as a cover i was kinda hoping you'd suggest easier songs to cover ngl.
Reminded me of the first time i heard the acoustic version/interpretation of overkill on scrubs. covers are always interesting imo when they are distinct. Used to love when a record company was doing punk goes x (pop/80s/crunk/acoustic). Some were more decent than others.

I do wanna know the full lyrics at 2:20 to 2:42 though 😆 of your cover..anyways thanks for sharing!

Sure is! Thx!!! As it was rather late at night i just lay down a mic on top of 2 cajons placed sideways (my footrests) and played like 30cms away. I can probably optimize that, also by trying other mics (i just was gifted a very old one from a friend after his dad - a bongo drummer - passed away). That Taylor has the fanciest pickup system in there - my 5min test was ... ahhhhhhhh ... 👎... that's not sounding like my guitar ... let's mic 🎤 it. Maybe more testing will help there too.

Thx man! Ah. So sorry the first one is so much not a 4-chord-wonder amin/Cmaj strumalong. When i had Toto selected i just thought - perfect - slow pace (like 90bpm) and catchy riff. I was breaking it down the last days trying o stick to the original tuning and more importantly chords (7s, sus and adds). Yt didn't help so much cause most coverers try to stay out of bar chords - lucky us!!! - so they end up with way harder charts and capos, whatever..

Next ones are gonna be easier for sure, but also here - everyone can stick to the weezer version (no need to downtune!) and base a cover on that. Cool and easier.

That lyrics - well it was in the middle of the night - how shall i remember what i sang there? 😉 Luckywise everyone was asleep so i had to go whispervolumelevel.

@ robolechuga I can't believe you achieved over 99% here. The win is yours!

Pnp8S5O.jpeg

This makes me nervous, many chords are not registered, sometimes I can play arpeggios ok but I still get misses there. Trying to achieve 90% but can't...

Did my first audacity project (and then used ClipChamp to get a simple video).

It's a bass playthrough mixed with the acoustic (and some chord failures 🤣 )

Thank you very much!

I guess the reason of my unsuccessful fix was DD. I did the same steps but I used Song Creator Toolkit to unpack and repack the  song. I cut the track into sections as you said. I missed something somewhere.

Fuinally we can practice lead part properly. And here's first results:

* One broken 1st string;

* One broken heart:

Unfortunately for me the diffi ratings for the two songs below are wrong 😞
I'll say more, the Toto song seemed a bit more difficult to me (due to the final riffs on high frets) than the Shawn Mendes song, even though the ratings are 4.5 and 7.

@ Rodman  Haven't you mentioned many times that we take into account the most difficult part? In the Toto song, the final riffs on high frets that you have to jump to quickly from low frets are definitely more difficult. I would give it a 5.5-6.

hRfpoT3.jpeg

Here I would give rating 6, exceeding 99% is relatively easy I think. I'll say more, I achieve almost 100% on my first try in Score Attack, but I won't publish it if the rating for this is 7, too easy for promotion to masterclass, sorry 😉

WG7OTsU.jpeg

Amazing ride!

lNPs0y1.jpeg

*my opinions are not offensive (because someone already got offended here for pointing something like that out, so I'd rather write it 😉). I'm just trying to keep the difficulty ratings balanced over the many weeks of the championship.

With the 5-7-9 I Use fingers 1-3-4. I tried for years the usual way but It just puts my hand In an uncomfortable position.
Hell use fingers 1-2-3 If Its comfortable

That's no offence! It's needed to make everything better! Ratings are subjective to a degree. I read the disagreements yd but was caught playing the Galneryus track over and over 🙂 , time ran out - so hopefully today right after work i'll replay the specified basstacks to make things even better.

Thx and have a great day, everyone!

Okay - must say thanks to @ Rodman  for suggesting the Weezer version of Africa - I now have the song structure down in my head and will attempt my cover before the week is over.

In all my time focused on the song - I came across this Gem.
