CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT!!!!! YEEAAHH!!! --- Royal Blood - Oblivion : This is fun to play! I tought it was very creative. --- Rhapsody Of Fire - A New Saga Begins : First time I listen to this band. Not my type of music but very fun to play!!! It reminds me the Dungeons and Dragons books I used to collect long time ago! I find it a bit challenging even the Rhythm part which is intermediate... Getting promoted to advance doesnt mean I can suddenly play easily everything in intermediate!!!

My 6 year old granddaughter likes Taylor Swift (and Abba, and Cyndi Lauper). Think I need to make a playlist for when she visits. She also like playing along with her Squire mini-strat in very easy mode. Anyway, some Swifty goodness:

well ... the Rhythm track on Helloween songs is not really a rhythm track... it's just one of the two lead tracks. In my youth I really loved these kind of bands that had two equal guitar players like here with Michael and Kai. These days they have three lead guitarists and 3 singers (if you count Kai) ... ... I hope I will be able to see them as I missed the Reunited tour.

oh yes the power metal week!! (+Taylor swift) Love my Rhapsody. I grew with them, and the Blind. I love their melodies and riffs. I saw them live a couple of times, the last one on their farewell tour in 2018. for the king for the land for the mountains, forever (I know that are silly lyrics but it's the mood!!) Also, Helloweeeeen And Nightwish, also great!!! I remember trying to do "she is a sin" with my first group in high school (they sound heavier in this song, maybe because they were in a second phase in 2007? I stopped listening to them after the Tarja left) Score will come soon, I was interrupted by my son PS: I forgot Royal Blood, but they have a great energy too!!

I was dealing with health issues last week and almost missed it. Luckily I'm better now and can finally celebrate the 10yrs properly, so here's some VERY drunk sight-reads: Looks like the rhythm part has more solo play than the lead. Or maybe I was just more drunkerer. Hard to say. Anyway, here's to the next 10 years of the championship! <raises glass>

Many mistakes, but, red x gone

wow great performance!! your playing is tight and sightreading is top of the line, and standing makes playing a bit more challenging than sitting (let's admit it) what are you using to show the data in the right bottom angle? is it active while you are playing? I used Rocksniffer GUI but that is not working properly anymore. And I removed the dust from Rock Buddy when we talked about it some weeks ago.

when u s*ck so much at the solo that Rocksmith scales down automatically the difficulty for you while u are playing nice one, all the song, and even more the initial riff!

Wow ... that's awesome ... thx for sharing ... good to see that you are also struggling in the beginning because Holger Schwichtenberg is not 100% on the tempo with the first couple of bars and very neat how consistent you are with the long stretch of 16th notes. Kai would be proud.

Its a horrible feeling when you dont remember the names xD the riff that sounds familiar to me in the sahara starts at 1:06 (spotify) to 1:38 ish i still think its a metalica song but i couldnt really find it... the closest one i found was sad but true at 0:23... but i mean.. its kind of a stretch, the only thing really in comon is muted e chord ( well since both are in d standard its d) ill keep looking cause im sure theres one more similar to it xD "I don't know what exactly you are referring to. It always makes me laugh when you write that a song or part of it reminds you of another song, but usually you don't know exactly which one I don't know what exactly you are referring to. Yes, I'm already used to you lowering the difficulty rating of bass paths for the championships Yes, the rhythm path is actually an alternate lead here.

another cool week! kinda odd arrangment but atleast the drum beat is stuck with me now lol yea...some notes dont seem right. but fun to play the vocals nonetheless. theres a riff in there that reminds me of a metallica song just that in a different tunning...but since im not a metalica fan i dont know the name of the song. also vocalist kinda reminded me of avril lavigne some times..like the same ish tone.. so i might check them out lol Love me some royalblood! they always have very fun riffs and their stuff is usually blast to play on the drums aswell xP Also really happy that it was rated as an intermediate song because i always enjoy harder songs in the levels not sure why some are int and some are advanced they all seem to be same lvl and no solo I will say though that this song is easier to get a higher score so i understand why kaytek and andes suggested them to be swapped. the fast run looks intimidating but its just going up the scale on different strings (which to me shouldnt be an advanced quality )...and it doesnt happen that often. In my eyes, both can pass as intermediate but thats just me xD Used to listen to a couple of their songs when growing up so its good to see them. for my tastes this would be a great advanced song..but i understand not alot of mc bass songs. at first i was like ah this isnt so hard then the solo came in and yeah..wasnt expecting that for a rhythm path

It's awesome to see you guys nailing Ride the Sky. I charted it but can barely get 88% ... ...

For Rodman's Rankings, I think one already gets points for a top4 placement, even if they are in a lower class, but I also think someone in a lower class should be able to win a week as well if they get the best score, shouldn't they? And I think being able to hit 99/99.5% on a higher-class song should still be the requirement, sooner or later they'd probably get 99%+ on their class rank-up song as well and 97% can be easier sometimes than 99%+ on a lower-class song Thank you, I'll keep putting in the work and hope I can become as experienced as y'all someday And speaking of Bass: Not sure about the actual difficulty but it is harder for me to sightread for both lead and guitar Being able to use fingers and not having to fit in power chords makes that one part way easier than lead guitar I'm not quite ready for properly moving up and down quickly yet

So I played this song to my wife and my daughters to see their reaction, and we all tought the song is pretty mediocre.... I mean, a very standard chord progression with a one note melody in each chord... Maybe the lyrics are genius for a generation of listeners, but I don't know about that. Fun song to play

Really botched that tapping part. I just watched @ RaZrShReD ' s great play through. In contrast, I am playing with a low gain jcm 800 kemper profile and a telecaster in the neck position (just a little grit). Sounds very silly compared to @ RaZrShReD

thanks dude. I am using rocksniffer and its visible through OBS browser source. So i cant see it clearly realtime but i do sometimes just open it in the browser itself to keep an eye on the score. I use the current_song_v3 output!

Ok, attention!!! I followed the comments and scores from the bass path of the Royal Blood song. Indeed, it seems that there are problems with achieving a high score there, the chart is quite specific, and these pull-offs can be problematic to recognize. I think the promotion system applies to the main songs of the week, not the bonus songs. But I'm not sure, so it's better to ask @ Rodman . And do you really want to promote to masterclass, since you were promoted to advanced class about 2-3 weeks ago and there is still a lot of work ahead of you in this class?
