Ghost is nice :) I didn't know them before RS and bought their albums after playing one of their songs. I've played Square Hammer a while ago when it has been posted. Yes! After 2 hours of riff-repeating and various speeds, section by section, I've finally beat my Blaze emulated guitar playthough score of 83% with a REAL bass score that exceeds it. Those galloping triplets are hard to get perfect but the game is forgiving. Difficult to increase speed on triplets. Any tips? I might actually get a bass picture-in-picture playthough later to show case my ultra noobishness on real bass. With one run I don't think that a 79% is a bad try. Ofc there are players which are in the 90% and higher with no effort, but there's always a bigger fish :D

@@JuneBeatle80 you can save your fav tones to buttons 2,3,4. This can be done in Sound Designer. Then you can use them everytime you want, with 1 you return to original sound.

Now that was one trying selection week.... after playing a lot of songs from the SSL, rating all the paths and adding comments SSL "somehow" got corrupted, everything i did was gone and yipiiieeee i had to start basically from scratch, and today ;) finally my ISP is on the edge of usability, but who cares... it´s done and i think RNG was nice - we got a fine selection: In Flames - one of my fav bands back in the days, and that one is a great short beginner lead track Ghost - really punchy Int/Adv track - cool to listen and play Monstertruck - Very nice rocking tune with fast fills and the solo makes it just a spot harder than Ghost Aria - not that its bad, no its a nice song, the problem with not only that Aria song for the CS is the solos on lead and rhy are straight MC, the rest is not. Fits into MC but MC players will also wanna look into: Exodus - Great and completely outa my league ENJOY!!!

Holy cow, @@JokerTheAnarchist!!! That is incredible!!! As I don't yet have a playthough sent my way on lead above 95% for my posting I would be very VERY honoured if you could post up a subsequent playthough video(s) when you have a little time. If you check Post #2 from my posting of Blaze - Stare at The Sun, I also hope to soon sent Blaze a compilation of playthroughs from the community, so if you want to feature prominently in that video which Blaze himself will see, have a go at recording yourself playing too. I am waiting for more playthroughs so it might take a few months to complete that project but I will do it if I get enough content. Plus I have to finally hear for myself what hitting practically every note sounds like. That is one thing that was impossible for me to test above 50% speed since my skills are no where near yours! Just recieved Blaze's new album in the mail yesterday. Endure and Survive, Part 2 of the Trilogy of albums for which he is also writing a book. It takes a while for an album to grow on me but the guitar riffs and tones are generally excellent! I just downloaded a bunch of your customs Joker. Looking forward to playing them!

I'm no guitar teacher and did the same - playing guitar on and off, had a break for years. To avoid wrist pain, maybe you put too much pressure on the strings, which is not necessary and as said in the postings before get yourself into a relaxing position. The most important thing is that you've fun while playing your instrument - doesn't matter if it's guitar, bass or anything else. Try to play regularly and pick songs you like (this will keep you playing it, because you won't get annoyed when listening to it more than 20 times ;)) - if the song is more complicated it's not necessary to use DD if you don't like it; use RR, select all sections and play it at a slower speed or pick a section or riff you want to learn and level it up - starting with a speed where you can follow the notes (doesn't matter if it's 50% speed or less) - with some practice you'll build up speed. It's not necessary to practice every day for hours - if you've only time for 20 minutes it's fine and it is ok to have a break, but don't put your instrument away for weeks or months. You may combine it with some physical exercise - for example going out for (nordic) walking and the other day playing guitar or a both on some days. If you do this for a month, then 2 months it will become a routine and then you will miss something if you've no time left at one day for it - and don't set too ambitious targets. Ofc we all want to play like <enter your favourite musician> and if you reach a few % of it will be a success and keep you motivated to continue.

It's down-tuning week - Perfect timing! I just strung my main bass for BEAD. I was having difficulties switching between basses of different scaIe lengths. Now with a capo on the 5th fret, my main bass is tuned EADG and has the same effective scale as my travel bass. When I want D standard tuning, I just move the capo to the 3rd fret. And Monstertruck is my first test - 100% (Don't Tell Me How To Tune) Edit - For the record... Take THAT FreeBird police!

@@Berneer playing while sitting shouldn't be a problem if your bearing is good. If your elbow is at the high of your head something seems wrong, sounds like a classical guitar pose with your guitar's body diagonal between your thigs. If so then try to move your bass on your right thig and move it's head down. I personally prefer bass playing while sitting. The string muting thing is just release the pressure of your fretting finger which controls the leght of the notes. Of course are there other ways to mute i.e. open strings like mute with left hand or just put a plucking finger on the string again, but this only works if the song is slow enough.

You can convert PC cDLC to mac with the toolkit.

@@Telboy , It was a great song; enjoying the challenge! To be honest, I didn't think I liked the song at first, but it grew on me and now it's on my main spotify playlist (same with the GoGo's song last week). =) Finding this Championship is a great way to discover new music. It's been a while since I played guitar, but I played for several years in the past - but it was a nylon string acoustic and I always played fingerstyle. Getting used to a pick is much more difficult than I was expecting, and my fretting fingers are sore, but I'm determined!

I plan on pumping out blues and blues rock flavored songs once I get the custom creation bit sorted. The first song I am currently working on is Robin Trowers Bridge of Sighs.
