Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 522

Mikson

Recommended Posts

Hello, thanks for hosting another week of championship😀

Forgot to post two days ago, so I'll include both scores. The advanced lead is riff heavy this week, not so solo heavy. A couple riffs are too fast for comfort and I can't do them consistently. A bit of practice and a couple days later I'm happy with the progress🙂

Ain't no way I'm beating @ LuZifeR s score though🫥😆 that last percentage is big

Really outside my comfort zone because I almost never play with a pick and my 4-string bass is not great downtuned this far, but have had a lot of fun working through some of this.  It made me think I want to stop skipping every metal song in my CDLC library on bass when I do nonstop shuffle 🙂.

One of the hard parts of this is just that the chart is way ahead timing wise (edit: maybe just on bass? it wasn't as noticable on lead).  So its easy to get messed up if you look at the visuals too much but it seems to go ok by ear.  Definitely realized I had a good run going and choked on the final high fret section but I'm not sure my fret fingers can handle any more grinding on this song. 🤣

Thanks for another awesome week!?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Lett

extremely thankful that the rhythms and much of the notes on bass translated to lead because my fingies are hurty, will see if I am feeling better tomorrow to work this one a bit more on learn a song and make a better run.

I've been playing Goo Goo Muck on the hollow archtops that I just built.  As a FreeBird, my scores don't matter, but for the Cramps, hollow archtops do.

The Guitar - laminated dyed maple archtop.  Neck mount pickup was added after this picture was taken

The Bass - 25.5" scale hollow birdseye maple laminate archtop

Edit - Take THAT FreeBird Police!
