what a nightmare .... and Chuck Berry passed away :o

As i am not able to start Rocksmith for the last days and still at the moment (pissed as hell) - i cannot Test Johhny B. Goode - please advice on the diff. rating for this one; it may fit as placed!

I hope i will be back playing in the week!

Johnny B. Goode is at least a 7 or an 8 on bass.  We've played it twice before, so I should now by now, but I don't.  I'll check the old spreadsheet.

Edit:  Of course, we played the Marty McFly version...  Last played week 168, and it was rated a 7, which could have easily been an 8.  I don't think the bass on the MM version is hugely different to the original, but I may be wrong...  I could go downstairs and try it with headphones, I guess. :bulb:

Thx. I only recalled playing the MartyMc Fly version... but now as you mention it memory kicks in... ok that is gonna be too easy for mc lead.

I'll fix when back home.

The Marty McFly version Lead was played week 64 - in Advanced Class.

Yes.

I think it would be best to exchange it with another Chuck Berry song that fits into MC lead.

Any suggestions anyone?

@@fripponomic do you have a few minutes to check if one of the other Chuck Berry cdlcs is MC lead stuff?

It's Rock'n Roll, I don't think that any of the available CB songs would really fit MC. I didn't checked any of the CDLC yet, but songwise the hardest of them should be Roll Over Beethoven, cause it's a little bit faster and contains more solos than the others.

RIP Chuck.

Let me double check my archived CDLC to get a difficulty rating for the bass line of JBG.

I've just got 99% on Johnny B. Goode.  So either I've got better or it's a 6...

RIP Chuck, thank you for the music.

Edit: Followed by a second play 100%, so maybe even a five?  The Beg/Int/Adv bass songs are in the right order though.

Ok, thx...

Back from "Beauty and the Beast" with the kids at the movies - great adaption from the animated original.

I´ll do as intended first - Johhny B. Goode is going Tribute and a Da Capo MC track is being installed!

Doin that now.

Edit: Done - all should be cool now, except Adv and Mc Rhy might be in wrong order. Continuing to fix my steam issue and testing as soon as i am back in the game.

@@Rodman I have no problem with Johnny B. Goode as MC lead this week.

And bass is 5, I would say.

Bass is easy as it's spider walk thing (12 bar blues ;) also I think it's maches the song but maybe I failed rythm somewhere or pitch, let me know

as for guitars bends are wrong on main riff, I'm sorry,
also I feel myself pissed off as well  same as you guys...

Second go on this ('cos I wasn't really concentrating the first time)

First go (forgot I was in LAS):

Second go (just because it deserved a second go):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKNEdIZFNwRmREaVE/view?usp=sharing

And guess what I'm going to be learning to do this week? I wondered when this week was going to come up.

I did get a 95% on the Supergroove, but I don't count it as I cheated.  I got fed up with trying to slap and pop half way through and reverted to playing fingerstyle.  I mean, I might as well play with a pick.

and

  • Allumer le Feu Rhy is Beg...

As week is only a few hours old and there are no interfering scores i will quickly do final arrangement changes....DONE.

I can't play the Back to the Future version for the life of me but this one seems a bit more my pace :)

Supergroove I love but I'm not ready to practice that amount of slap bass today. I've been in a freezing cold rehearsal room today and only now are my hands starting to defrost. Never go to a budget based rehearsal room. We played stuff. Some sounded not bad :) I heard myself sing... that bit was awful

Ok, because of poor results and overall lack of skill @NoonyDeloony gets downgraded to Advanced. She would be forever remembered as shameful person... and then she'll make another charming video and we'll forget about that.

I reckon the Back to the Future version has twice as many notes in (well, not quite).  As you say, the original version is much more civilised.  The extra notes are not necessary. :)

R.I.P. Chuck Berry.

I did do a video play through of this but I'm a bit inclined to refrain posting it. It feels a bit too soon, and when I did a Bowie "Tribute" I got a bit of flack from some folk who claimed I was using his passing as a way to get views.

@@missis sumner aye :) I like your wording of the explanation... civilised fretting should be a musical term :)

Those little layered melodies are pretty tricky, but other than that, Black Sheep is a straightforward, catchy song from a movie that does my homeland proud. Thanks for giving us Metric and Scott Pilgrim, Canada! :maple_leaf:
