  1. Actually, the idea of dealing with a Floyd Rose doesn't bother me at all, been dealing with them since 1987. That and I have 3 guitars at the moment. I use my non trem guitars for detuning, and would likely leave the Hybrid in E Standard since that's where I am the most, then put my other trem guitar in Eb, or drop D, I actually have one sitting in C# right now, go back and forth from c# to Eb with that one at the moment. And my other non trem I use for Drop D and e standard. So if I get another one that will be even less tuning when I change songs,, just grab another one. Yeah, I know I'm kinda spoiled.
  2. I wish I could access the video manager stuff from my phone,, but I am sure there was the educational exception thing available to be selected. I also include educational purposes in the description somewhere. Mine have been up since RS1 and I even have an RS2014 Metallica custom play through up and no issues yet.
  3. Um,, I got nothing. I've never seen this issue, and other than GPU your system is superior to mine. And once you get the new one in you got me smoked. I'm running my graphics with everything maxed at 1920 x 1080. I've never seen an degradation in the graphics. BTW your gonna love that R9 compared to that 6850. I have a 7870 that flat out kills my old dual 3870 x2s.
  4. Oasis does it on purpose, to better match Liam's voice with the music. He sings slightly sharp on some songs, and the guitar tunings reflect that. If the original recording was made in an "off" tuning, then it should be left that way. Oh, and I forgot to add this before.... The Beatles used LOTS of alternate tunings based off of E standard. Read this if you want a better explanation about why some artist's use different pitches of E standard:http://guitarcipher.blogspot.ca/2012/04/normal-0-false-false-false-en-us-x-none.html Holy crap, that just may have been the most informative, make me rethink everything I thought I knew about guitar article I have ever read. Not only does my brain hurt, but I'm now questioning the way I play every classic song I can think of. Might explain why some of them never seemed quite right. Also I was gonna say your gears get grinded when you are granny shifting instead of double clutching like you should,,,. Sorry, the smartass in me could not be restrained.
  5. And charging forward with a vengeance. Welcome. Take your time to explore all this site has to offer. I think you will be surprised. And, um, I think the Rocksmith theme song is an unlockable song, accomplished by doing a few hundred missions in game. I know it is near the end of the unlocks. In game unlocks listing is here. http://customsforge.com/topic/7354-venues-unlocks/?hl=venues
  6. My Amanda Custom,, the bass line is as simple as they come,, you'll 100% it first time through,, also the Rhythm part is only 3 chords,, but the strumming pattern will wear you out at first. The lead part isn't insane either,,.
  7. Um, unplug the usb connector and plug it back in while in game. And that's not a CDLC issue,, it happens all the time CDLC or not. Also check the break away connection, make sure it's tight.
  8. Rocksmith does not care about subfolders as far as dlc is concerned. If you need to move a song out, move it to your desktop or something. Yes the same song title thing is an issue.
  9. Try using the Rocksmith toolkit to reassign the app id. Easy to do and sometimes that will fix it.
  10. Oh wow. I would have to check. But more than likely Go With Flow, rhythm, when Rocksmith wants me to get a 150 note streak. 109.5%.
  11. Well, that and it's way harder to sort out the stems and seeds than on a cd case,, and impossible on an MP3.
  12. For some odd reason people cannot find this although it is titled quite clearly,, all needed links are here http://customsforge.com/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014/
  13. For some reason certain anti virus programs don't like that file. Someone said Windows Security Essentials is one that doesn't like it, and it gets rid of it. I am using AVG free and have never had this issue.
  14. Reinstall the .dll file. Go get it again and put it back in. The one you you had to get when you first started running CDLC.
  15. Um, I'm certainly not the expert on that subject, but, I don't think you have a way to do that.
  16. Not that I'm aware of . Just go play some songs, your recommendations will change, except that session one, sorry your stuck with those.
  17. I'm an idiot and completely misunderstood your question. As far as the isolated tracks go, I think I would rather just play the song as a whole. But I can see isolated tracks being very useful. As far as only releasing pc versions. I do that rather than have 4 times the space taken up on my Dropbox as is really needed. The end user can very easily convert the file using the Rocksmith Toolkit.
  18. Pretty much. But if your just starting to play. Smoke On the Water, Satisfaction, and a few others are great to learn first.
  19. Wonderful firekorn. PINNED!!
  20. Yep, that's the best way. Send him or her a PM pointing out the issues, in a friendly manner and perhaps it will get fixed. If you choose to fix your version do not post it. Posting others peoples work, although you fixed it is a no no. We really don't want the charters pissed off as they are the reason this community has grown so quickly.
  21. Yes, you can convert them to Xbox on your own using the rocksmith toolkit, quite easily actually. As far as how to USE CDLC on your Xbox. That requires a modified Xbox to allow you to put the files where they need to be, and we have no tutorials on how to modify your Xbox. Google search it and see if it's something you want to do, realizing you can kill your Xbox trying it. You can also buy ones that are already modified. But honestly, for what that would cost, and assuming your PC is decent, I would say spend a few bucks and get the PC version. Available on Steam and they run sales all the time I've seen it as low as $25 and I've heard of it being less. You already have the cable and it will work on your PC too.
  22. Well, I sort the songs in alphabetical order by artist, for me that works, I know what I'm looking for that way. As far as learning, There are MANY songs that really aren't that hard, but the Dynamic difficulty might mess you up. Pick a song, go into riff repeater and set it to 100% difficulty, then pick the section you need to work on,, and set it to like 50% or slower with no error tolerance. Then play it until it automatically speeds you up. You will never learn a song until you slow it down,, PERIOD!!! Back when I first was learning guitar we stared at a TAB then hit play on a tape deck,, play for 2 seconds, stop rewind, do it again, and again, until you learned the song. Riff Repeater is a DREAM for guys like me,, where was this 25 years ago. Learn chords,, you will need them. Follow the lessons,, they are accurate and effective. DO NOT expect to play Freebird in a week. You might be able to fake your way through the chords but you won't be playing it correctly and that's OK. DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!! This isn't easy, if it was, we could all play Like Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen. If you dedicate at least an hour a day to guitar, it will reward you. If you can't give it that much it will take a little longer but you WILL get better. Songs to learn,, Go With The Flow , Queens Of The Stone Age rhythm part is totally playable, but it is quick so expect to miss a few notes. For lead try, Do You Remember by The Horrors. Also for technique as far as shifting and fast plucking I use Black Sunshine by White Zombie. There is SO much you can do. Go through the 101 lessons on the game,, that's a great starting point, and it will frustrate you. KEEP working on it,, it gets easier. I have been playing since 1986 or 87 and I do not feel I'm anywhere near where I should be, but to someone that doesn't play I'm a genius, it's all relevant. Do the lessons, seriously. And follow the Rocksmith Missions in game. It makes more sense than you know. And on a side note. PS3 limits your ability to use customs,, Unless you already have a cracked one. PC version is smoother and allows the use of customs more easily.
  23. Well, they are still working on an all new search which will be able to do more than what we have. The developers have said that the current search is pretty much maxed out and really can't do much more. So be patient.
  24. Go into the settings on EoF and make sure the box is checked for create RS1 files. Then resave that project. Sounds silly, just try it.
