  1. A few milliseconds isn't a big deal, RS is already nice enough to let you some slack on the timing so no need to be perfect at one milliseconds since you won't notice it anyway. If you really need to move note, that's not a problem as long as they are on the grid but that should be some final adjustement to a small amount of note. About the anchors, deleting them won't change anything unless you want to start messing again with the beat map so keeping them takes no time and can actually be helpfull if you want to redo some part.
  2. Tuning are set for each arrangement in the toolkit, changing it for one will never change the tuning for the other. If the tuning are correct for each arrangement in EOF, just delete and add again each arrangement in the toolkit and everything should work as expected.
  3. I think you can but you'll need a closed wah tone and an open one i think.
  4. Here's my play for the week : Beg Lead 95.43% and 112 streak : http://imgur.com/ZC33cnR RS have a hard time to recognize chord when i mute them but not a big deal :) Beg Rhythm 96.65% and 144 streak : http://imgur.com/1eFs82A Beg Bass 100% and 683 streak : http://imgur.com/iPSvNP4 It's like the easiest bass line ever :p Int Lead 96.82% and 231 streak : http://imgur.com/Yqh28im Int Bass 98.48% and 250 streak : http://imgur.com/NmtBmMf MC Lead 91.87% and 75 streak : http://i.imgur.com/nVHqecl.jpg MC Bass 96.27% and 330 streak : http://i.imgur.com/OFoBda2.jpg I was thinking i would have done worst on this MC song but i've past the tapping part well and the rest of the solo wasn't that bad...
  5. You can handle the tuning the way you want RS doesn't have a lot of limitation (it's possible to have up to 5 strings at the exact same note).
  6. if it's hand muted, RS will take any sound for it anyway. I think it's better to let a blank in RS so people do what they want to the way they want but that's just a personal opinion. ;)
  7. Hum : http://customsforge.com/topic/5438-unusual-instrument-experiment/ And yeah banjo would work for sure.
  8. except that midi isn't a format made for this, you can try it to see for yourself but you'll loose too many important information.
  9. That's called sweeping or sweep picking and it's hard to master and it is one of the most advanced technique you'll encounter. I won't link to any tutorial because i don't know which one are good or bad so i'll let you look into it by yourself ;)
  10. This is a problem, you should strum this chord and pull of for the 5 on the D and G, it was a bug in GP import into EOF.
  11. legit copy can others can't that's all...
  12. i think it's better as a pinch than as a natural harmonic.
  13. And it makes sense, buying DLC for a game that you do not own in the first place is kinda weird and RS is an exception because DLC work on two games. So it's not a bug, just the way steam work and all things considered not an idiot way of working. But yeah just buy RS1 and you will have access to most of the on disc songs (some didn't have their right renewed for RS2014).
  14. Okay so i've got it to work correctly by deleting the arrangement in the toolkit and readding them without touching anything on the tuning part (just changed the A to 220) and it worked, seems strange, you might have touched something on the tuning part in the toolkit (most likely when he ask you about the new tuning).
  15. are you sure you put +5 in EOF instead of -7 even with my guitar it seems like it's looking for A-1 instead of A0 for a note which will never work whatever the instrument you use.
  16. Easily no, you'll be better asking the charter than doing it youserlf. You can do it yourself but you'll need to use all the tool that a charter would use (unpack the song, edit it in EOF, repack the song) and i suppose that's something you don't want to do.
  17. Inside EOF no. By modifying the XML yes, but I wouldn't be able to tell you how by myself.
  18. I strongly suggest you start reading this and stop talking bullshit : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a9dTnNVoVNG88iSHGWwTKKsN-zDe0Qv7VM_1yWP_pFQ/edit# MP3 or Flac or CD are (unless you use a really low bitrate) are in any way better than Vinyl and yes you can modify the sound of an MP3/Flac/CD to sounds like a Vinyl if you prefer this sound but the opposite is impossible, you can't get rid of the imperfection of the vinyl. And if you are too lazy to go through the whole document : So please not use your personal taste as universal fact, you prefer the vinyl sound, fine, but don't say CD are worse because they are not...
  19. Did you used the exact same component other than just the FLAC/Vinyl? I don't think so. If you don't use the exact same system and change just the one component you want to test. The comparison is flawed. Oh and you can apply a vinyl effect on your FLAC/MP3 if you really prefer the vinyl kind of sounds And the vinyl is way behind the quality of a FLAC.
  20. D3DX9 (Direct 3D and X9 for DirectX9) are for graphics, not sure how 3D rendering information can be use to recreate the note highway in real time. In fact I'm not sure on how you can find and build the note highway outside of the game in the first place but I'm not enough of a programmer to be able to dig into this by myself.
  21. The thing is that midi doesn't coutain many important information like bend, string used and i'm not really sure how it handle slides either so it's a partial way of going from eof to gp but it's clearly not perfect and you'll have to make many adjustement in the gp file to make it correct.
  22. Trill is just a series of HO-PO and RS doesn't have any other way to display it than using HO-PO. You can look at the lessons to see that there is no tech note corresponding to a trill.
  23. I think the hardest part will be to sync the Rocksmith note highway and the led on the fretboard. RSTabExplorer have nothing to do with this, if you want an interface between RS and the guitar, using only RS and the guitar is your best shot or you use the GP6 fretlight compatible if you don't want to use the RS specific fonction but just read tabs. I think only RAM contain information about the actual state of the game and i don't know how easy it is to decode this but i doubt it's easy enough. The idea seems great in the first place but i'm not sure that it is easy enough and i'm not even sure that many people have that kind of guitar in the first place to use it anyway. So unless there's an easy way to extract note highway information when you play Rocksmith (and i don't think there is), it will be too much time for so little end user.
  24. It's already available without any modification of the game and you can test it with those songs : http://search.customsforge.com/?q=ii_5stringbass
  25. It depends on what are you trying to accomplish with Rocksmith, if you just want to have fun and not really care about learning the song or such, DD can be usefull, you can play the song with a little challenge but not too much. It's also a good way to see your progression for perfect beginner because the mastery will relate to what you can do or not and it can be really good to see that you finally get to 100% mastery. But it's clear it isn't for people that just want to learn and master a song where playing it slowly at 100% mastery will allow you to memorize the riffs and solos more quickly and more efficiently but can be less fun for a perfect beginner that just want to play. It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish for many player who wants to get better quickly slowing down at 100% mastery will be more efficient to learn so DD will be useless, but if you just playing for fun and not for challenging yourself, DD can be good to use so that you won't get frustrated with hard solos/riffs that you can't play at the moment.
