I remember this being on a tv commercial in target when i visited the us ages ago almost always. i like it lol nice surprise of a song! pretty easy and fun i think the intros chords for rhythm are off? like copied pasted in the wrong section or something. always good to have some steel panther lol fun song, i think it could be easier played if he had moved some notes to other strings instead...also i dont remember seeing any open notes? thought the lowest was a 2 so im not sure why not just do e standard..but i guess he has other songs in d standard and thats why..who knows.7 points

CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT!!!! YEEEAAAHHH!!!!! Thank you a lot @ Hughmonty for hosting the week!!! And welcome back @ nlbsmglsk !!! I am late to the party, so here we go!!! ---- And now, my class in Lead! I enjoyed playing this, but it feels more like Rhythm instead of Lead... This is my class in Rhythm, but I played the Lead part by mistake!!! I didn't notice the difference, and just realized now! It's sad because it won't be a valid score and I think I won't have time to come back tomorrow... And I think this is the only bass scores I will be able to play this week... @ cacahuate51 I tried a bit the Tame Impala bass, but for me the tab felt wrong... I did some search and all of them play it something like this:4 points

Also, why can't it be edited before approval? Wouldn't it make more sense to disallow editing after approving? That is, if you where trying to not allow 'harmful content'.3 points

My opinion on muting with a hairband: - if your name is Guthrie you can do whatever the hell you want, just pls keep doing it - I don't know anything about this Matteo kid, this was the only thing I saw of his playing. - After watching the single video I'm under the impression that the uses the extra muting not for the tapping parts, but for the finger picking. Like where his wrist is almost parallel to the strings. That looks hard to make it sound good. - If he gets results from that approach, who am I to judge? Sometimes unorthodox technique leads to really great and innovative stuff. - If he doesn't then that's on him. - Yes, the hairband makes some stuff easier. And yes, if you see 2 guys playing the same stuff note-for-note then the one who isn't using it had the harder job. - Overall, IMO, don't use it at practice time. If you can't hear your mistakes they're gonna compound. But in a TV performance setting? I'm not gonna judge. Just know what you're doing.3 points

Thanks! Yeah I like some Iron Maiden. My name is in reference to the Doomsday Clock, not 2 Minutes to Midnight, even though the song is in reference to the same thing.3 points

Guitar improvements I thought 96% is a good score, but the competition is at a high level! I don't like this combination of chords on the D and G strings alternating with the E string. Recognition is poor there, unfortunately. It should probably be moved 1 string down (in Rocksmith up) and 5 frets higher.3 points

Bass I really like bass charts from Marillion, fun to play! I played both versions of CDLC. I recommend playing this one with only bass: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/50837 This is perhaps slightly more difficult, but the chart contains more details and has slightly different hand positions (fewer empty strings, e.g. 5E instead of 0A string). This one with the guitar paths is also fine, but I don't like playing a lot of empty strings.3 points

Yea I've seen people use It for sweeping, tapping and all sorts.l Since Goven It has become more acceptable. Why can they not play with out ? just learn how to mute properly2 points

Great stuff, all new to me so I had to do a couple of laps to see where they were going. Even tried the masterclass song cause it sounded do-able but that second fret E was killing me. Its a good thing you don't have to hear it to see my score. The tuning in the 311 song really tests the limits of the short scale. The marillion tune was my fav. Keep missing something in this 1 reading the lyrics.2 points

yes sometimes you can't do otherwise, so that's fine, but in the case of Matteo, then just use a pick1 point

yeah im the same way as well, but then i saw guthrie govan using it and found it useful myself for two handed tapping licks and some techniques where its impossible to mute open strings from ringing with your fingers or palm. in the case of matteo i guess its necessary as this fingerpicking technique on electric with strings close together make it hard to keep it quiet in high gain settings...1 point
