  1. As you see I'm being neutral citing him without the tag Here's my best for this week MC Rhythm MC Lead @nlbsmglskyou are pretty safe, but I'm very satisfied with my results. To be honest, my perfomances were dirty in some parts, so I have a lot to improve!! Anyway, this Kreator song is awesome. Total 9. Never heard anything from them. The more I play it, the more I want to play it. Being short of time, I tried sightreading Sexorcism. Fun song. For me 7 too, maybe 6.5

  3. It looks like this time everything went smoothly and I was able to quickly create a new selection using the code! Thanks for that! I think it's another week with nice songs to play. It turned out that all of Maneskin CDLC's were removed from Ignition (sic!), so I did a re-upload to my disk. A bit easier masterclass song on lead this time, which is rewarded with devastating GoG song. Vektor song in the bass path is basically masterclass, but I didn't want to create bonuses so I moved it to the GoB class. I think it's better that way. Enjoy!

  4. BASS I got messed up by the slides. Looks like I'm finally gonna have to use a pick. I agree on Mikson's diff ratings, except on the Allman Brothers song, which I'd rate an 8.

  9. I still encounter a lot of customs with un sync beat map. It might not look like a problem at first sight but it could become messy in a lot of case! So here is the way I do it. It might not be the better or the quicker but it works well for me and it's quite simple because it doesn't require much. 1. The software It's quite simple : EOF (make sure you have the last version) Your ear! 2. The files I will stated the obvious here but better safe than sorry. The song mp3 or wav or whatever that EOF can use The GP file If you don't have this two file, well just go get them, i won't cover the beat map sync without GP file in this tutorial. 3. Your new EOF project Nothing really special here, choose your song, enter the artist/song name as usual, use the folder as you always do and create the ogg with the quality you usually use. 4. preparing the beat map Let's go : Show the waveform graph (F5 or Song -> Waveform Graph -> Show) Move the first beat so that he align with the start of the song (where the waveform start to wave) Estimate the bpm with EOF (Beat -> Estimate BPM) Click "Ok" Choose Yes Compare the EOF BPM with the GP file BPM, if the EOF is double of half the GP BPM, adjust the BPM in EOF with the double or half BPM option (Beat -> Double BPM or Beat -> Halve BPM) The closer the estimate is, the lesser you will have to do in the next step Import your GP file (File -> Guitar Pro Import) Choose Yes to the first question (about time signature) Say No to the second question (about phrases/sections, it won't show up if there's no marker text in the GP file) Import the lead part (if you don't have any lead part go to number 25) If the first note is at the right place go to number 17 If it's not, select all the note (ctrl+a or Edit -> Selection -> Select All) Copy (ctrl+c or Edit -> Copy) Delete all the note (del or Note -> Delete) Got to the beat where the note start (use Page Up or Page Down or ctrl+shift+Page up/down to move at the exact right place) Paste everything back (ctrl+v or Edit -> paste) Once the first note is at the right place go at the beginning of the song (Home or Song -> Seek -> Start) Activate the clap and the metronome (C or Edit -> Claps and M or Edit -> Metronome) Listen to the clap and metronome to spot a gap between the song and the clap/metronome (the note should help you ear what the part is actually playing) If you spot a gap, choose the beat corresponding to the note you want to move (Only move the first beat of the measure) and slide this beat to it's place in the song If the note hasn't move Undo it (ctrl+z or Edit -> Undo) and go back to the number 19 If the note has aligned, check if your really synced If not Undo it (ctrl+z or Edit -> undo) If your sync repeat from number 19 to 24 untill you got all the song sync then continue Import the next part (rythm or bass) and go back to number 12 You shouldn't have anything to move if you have done a good job in the first part! Once you've gone through all the part and you are sure everything in sync, well everything in sync! Good Job! 5. Some tips and tricks This method isn't perfect since it is relying on your ear but with experience you can go through everything much faster and training your ear will help you when you will play! If you are sure a beat is at is rightfull place, use an anchor (click on the beat and press shift+a or Beat -> Anchor Beat)! This is pretty usefull for slow down or floating breakdown By doing this, you will actually see some flaws on the chart (weird slides mostly), you can take time to correct them during the synchronization. Take your mark with easy songs played with a metronome or with minimal tempo change I fast forward through the rythm and bass part just to check the transition of the song but i really encourage you to go through all the part at normal speed first especially if you aren't sure of you! I think i have gone through everything! It actually takes me for a 3 minutes songs about 15 to 30 minutes depending on the complexity of the beat map and by going through all the 3 parts. If you have any question or suggestion don't hesitate to comment!

  16. Hah - we did the same thing the same time - good work - yes... lead is clear, for bass technically the official way is he is leveling up with his score that week and would have been a legit int member last week - but as he got beaten there and is first in adv with a 100 - we make it a in-week voluntary level up to take the instant win (you gd masterclasser ) unless he votes against which i doubt. Let´s Rock! So much nice competition, yay!

  17. Looks like a great week! Cool the code served you well!! Thx @kayteck I am giving the adv lead win to @cacahuate51 - he got me beat well and is a clear adv player for clearing a (6) song in week 445 with 99+, i corrected that in player list, last week leaderboards and in the opening post. Congrats!! Congrats for leveling up to adv bass also!

  18. @Rodman I changed the winner in Lead and Bass classes to @cacahuate51, because I think he is already competing in these classes (this needs to be changed in the leaderboard). If this should not be the case, protest!

  22. Dear earth2mars Sensei, Thank you for your excellent anisong CDLCs. As one of fans of Key's animes, I'd like to let you know that you light up my life when I found your works of Angel Beats songs, as if I can enjoy a moment with the band of Girls Dead Monster on the same stage, yay dream comes true! I never be tired of playing with your works in these years. They are so perfectly arranged that they are still serving as the best template for my own works. With your inspiration, I even visited music stores for anime band scores, as well as ordering them from local net stores whenever I have chances to travel to Japan. In case you haven't seen it yet, may I recommend Macross Delta to you and hope you'll enjoy it. Honto ni kansha shimashita! Yours respectfully, Your fan

  27. My original plan was to get this to 100%, but I lost 2 days this week, so I don't know if there's enough time left. We'll see, it mostly depends on how stiff the competition in other paths will be.

  28. Just want to update this topic, just in case someone else new to toolkit stumbles upon it. I got it working and I won't say this is the way you should do it (surely there are easier ways?), but this is the way that worked (ish) for me. install wwise 2010.3.3 as instructed, also install a wwise that works for rocksmith 2014, mine is a 2017. Here's the important bit, it doesn't appear that you can select two wwise's in rstoolkit, so this is a 2 step process as far as I can tell. You can only use 2010 to import the 2012 rocksmith file. You import package, as instructed and then you switch confing wwise that does 2014 and you generate the cdlc. I would suggest to the rstoolkit makers that a second wwise 2010 config entry would make things smoother but how many people are trying to do what I'm doing? Hardly anybody, I imagine. I just can't get over how bad the loop markers are in the game, so I need to use tonelib jam to figure out some parts. Anyway, I digress. Extract rocksmith dat phase In the configuration, set the wwise to be 2010.3.3, path to should be something like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Audiokinetic\Wwise v2010.3.3 build 3773\Authoring\x64\Release\bin Click the convert radio button in the CDLC creator tab as instructed and import the DAT file (import package button at bottom) for the rocksmith original content file. My rocksmith content is in D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith\Content, yours will probably be in program files x86/steam etc The dat files aren't labelled with track name, but I did find a quicker way to figure out what was what (and probably if I'd have googled hard enough, I'd have found a list - or maybe in the software). The APP ID thing doesn't seem to match the dat file naming convention though. It might prompt you for a place to put the directory, I'd suggest leaving it at the content directory of rocksmith original for the moment. There will now be a directory with a "template" . ie directory called RS001SONG0000038_RS2012_Pc (I should note that this is painkiller and painkiller did NOT extract out, it's the only one that gave me an error - unfortunate, as this is a prickly track and being able to loop it would be good) I suggest you import all your packages (ie, create the extracted directory) first. Don't worry, the import made a directory - you can reload what you've done after. Generate rocksmith2014 cdlc phase: Switch to wwise config that works for 2014. IE: C:\Program Files (x86)\Audiokinetic\Wwise 2017.1.9.6501\Authoring\x64\Release\bin Select rocksmith 2014 in the game version option in the CDLC Creator tab. Click Load Template down the bottom and go into a directory for whichever rocksmith dat you previously imported. You will go into the directory and see a .dlc file with a sane filename, ie ie for me D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Rocksmith\Content\RS001SONG0000037_RS2012_Pc Click generate Now, this may fail with something to do with versions as it packages up. It appears to be a problem with the arrangements. I suggest fooling with the gameplay path settings (that is, in the arrangement section, pick an arrangement and click edit). It seems like a lot of them come in with settings that don't look right for 2014. Most of the time, I just adjusted the first one to default and lead, second to rhythm and default and if there was a third, made it an alt lead. I don't know exactly which one is the correct one but since you're not doing this to play in game, it hardly matters - you can select whatever and find the correct arrangement in tonelib or guitar pro if you're just wanting to get something that you can extract to a guitar pro track Also had problems with hangar18 due to the fixed ogg, seems like there might be a byte count expectation failing. I would imagine if you go hard enough, you might be able to extract the ogg yourself and then feed the wav file in and maybe get it out. Figuring out which track is which dat, laboriously: To figure out which dat was which, I dragged the rocksmith content directory onto "convert2012.exe" in the rstookit directory. It didn't fully succeed but what it did was make directories of somewhat extracted templates (but not good enough to convert to 2014) in the content directory. At this point, you have better filenames and you can go into the directories and figure out what song it is. I made a list. (Ie, it made RS001SONG0000001_RS2012_Pc directory, which when you go into, it's clearly freebird).

  29. Software required: Youka https://www.youka.club/ Subtitle Edit v3.5.16 (or above) Note that the current (Sept 2020) beta that supports this: https://github.com/SubtitleEdit/subtitleedit/releases/download/3.5.16/SubtitleEditBeta.zip Here is the regular website for newer stable versions as they are released depending on when you read this tutorial: https://www.nikse.dk/subtitleedit/ Editor On Fire Process overview: Use Youka to generate lyrics then import that into subtitle edit to convert to .SRT that can be read into EOF. Step 1: Youka Youka is a free software that creates karaoke songs out of any YouTube video. In this example, I’ll be adding lyrics to the song “Ain’t Talking Bout Love” from Van Halen. First step is finding a youtube link for the song. This does not need to be the exact same audio length to the microsecond as you will be using later in Editor on Fire. It just needs to have the same lyrics, be the same song. The actual timing will be adjusted later. Open Youka and paste the youtube link and the program will start doing it’s thing… when it's done it will start playing the song (continued)

  30. Step 3: Editor On Fire Open up your song in Editor On Fire. I'm going to assume you are familiar with the basics of CDLC creation. This part you should be familiar with, there are separate tutorials if you need to follow another tutorial for that such as this: http://customsforge.com/topic/35318-cdlc-creation-for-rocksmith-2014-remastered/ Now, you should switch to the vocal track and import the SRT file you created from Subtitle edit. Press F5 to view the waveform. You should see something like this once you browse the song to where the lyrics start. Now you'll need to select all the lyrics, with CTRL A and left click and drag them to the starting point you identify by listening to the song. When lyrics are selected they turn green, they can be dragged and moved at that point. Deselect everything after you have the lyrics lined up by left clicking on an empty space in the timeline or by pressing Ctrl-D or going to Edit -> Selection -> Deselect All. Now highlight the entire first verse (in this example "I heard the news baby") and press Ctrl-M (or Note -> Lyrics -> Lyrics Lines -> Mark) Now, just go through the rest of the song doing each verse and chorus into groups. Fix any errors like in this particular example there's a bunch of "Hey hey heys" at the end that needed to be adjusted but for the most part the rest should be smooth sailing. In the end, save your file you'll get a PART VOCALS_RS2.xml that you can use in the Rocksmith Toolkit. FIN.

  31. Now you go to %username%\.youka\youtube\ There should be a folder "Y-IUB62zDlA" there. That is the youtube video's extension that was pasted for the song into Youka. In that folder, there is a file word.json that you will need to import into subtitle edit. Step 2: Subtitle Edit Open up Subtitle edit, then go to File -> Open and find the file identified above, word.json in your %username%\.youka\youtube\Y-IUB62zDlA folder. Or you could also drag and drop it onto Subtitle edit. You should see something like this: Now File -> Save this onto your computer. You will create a .SRT file that will be imported into Editor on Fire.

  32. Woah, that seems like alot of steps for something really easy, i just drag the first beatmarker to the first note in the song, put in the right BPM (either from gp file or from EoF estimate) then skip trough the song really fast correcting every 2-4th measure marker to the beat (which in most songs are really really obvious spikes) (Also when importing from .gp files, I first correct beatmap, then hit import and say 'No' to importing time stuff op GP) This week I coindently recorded another making of video of the EoF charting, I only started recording after the beatmap syncing (cause I forgot to hit record) In the first second of this 'making of' you can see me correcting the last measures of the beatmap, and you can also see some beat anchors in the beginning (Sorry for the bad audio quality in vid)

  33. I do it a bit differently. Partly because the GP files I've used have been too off-base -- I use them as the basis to make corrections. And the tempo settings for GP files are approximations anyway. So I say "No" to both questions when importing the file. Instead, before I import the GP file: 1. I set the time signature (in the case of the songs I'm working with, it's always 4/4). 3. Display waveform and turn on the metronome. 2. Set the beat map. I like doing this without any notes in the way -- it's easiest with a song with a snare drum, since they're easy to spot in the waveform. I find it helpful to look at both left and right channels, because sometimes one has a more visible snare than the other. I go through the entire song, lining up the beat markers with the snare drum and listening to the metronome to make sure it's in sync with the snare. For a 3 minute song, it doesn't take all that long to do, especially when the drummer stays pretty close to the primary tempo. With a five minute song, my eyes are usually bleary by the end. Once the beat map's done, I pick up my guitar and go through the entire song again, comparing what I hear with what's in the GP file. I use EOF to help chart out the rhythm notation and listen to the GP playback to make sure the notes are accurate. Doing this also helps me be certain that the measures in EOF and GP are the same -- no fussing with double/half tempos. What's important is that the notes in EOF correspond to the same measure/beat as those in the GP file. (I tend to add in the lyrics as text in the GP file as I'm working, this helps me get things synchronized as well). After that, I import the GP file, doing it the same way you describe. I'm not saying your way is wrong -- I'm just adding to it by saying what works for me. It's nice that there are different ways to achieve what we're all looking for -- a playable custom.
