@Rodman I finally got some time to record my version of Heaven's on Fire. This one turned out to be really fun! Usually I record each part until I get a good take. This time I took a different approach this time and recorded it in sections. I got a drum track from Band in a Box, then I recorded the first verse on guitar, then recorded the vocals for it, and for some recorded a vocal "chorus" an octave higher. Then I did the same for the next section and so on. I put the solo in last, I fear it is just random flailing. I tried to tease around the resolving note and let it ring out at the end of the solo. Not sure how successful I was. I watched a video about fixing up vocals that the guy broke it up in sections, so I thought I would try that approach for my recording. The idea was that I would try to use an auto-tune plugin on it, but honestly it didn't make me sound much better, so I ditched it. I ended up with a chorus effect and a compressor on the vocals and that was it. I took a screenshot of the DAW for the video still, I wasn't feeling creative photographing the guitar, so I thought it interesting. I'm using Cakewalk which is now free.

Whew....my head is spinning . I thought for sure I was gonna strike out several times....I honestly don't know how I didn't a few times. Especially that last solo. I would've been pretty upset if I struck out in the last minute

@Mikson I had a good run on that one for sure. I'll level up if you guys think that's best. I don't think I'll be able to really compete with those guys in lead masterclass. Maybe a new class??? Expert? I don't know if that's an option or not but it would be a nice in-between.

Some improvements My best with a pick. Need to do it in SA Probably the best I get on lead But while I'm at it and have it stuck in my head Just for fun And something for my class I just like this song, so good

@It Happens1 Will you be able to play Criminal again to get 99%+ accuracy and level up to the masterclass level? You are too good for the advanced class, so we have no chance in this competition

Good evening, long time no see. I tried Powerwolf tonight. I think the ratings are too high. I give Rhythm a 6 and Lead a 7.

I thought about what @It Happens1 wrote about. There are some guys here who are too good into the advanced class, but can't win in the masterclass. So maybe some level in between would make sense?

No awards for sure but that's my fault for not practicing enough. First rule of Lonesome Rider, we do not talk about the first playthrough

Yeah, you rock hard. You are for sure more of MC than ADV. We'll level you up. I think you'll be fine and giving good competition up there. If it still does not work out you are free to come back anytime!

I've posted some noting fingered or with pick because I'm challenging myself to getting better at fingered bass. I'm taking the beginner and intermediate songs and trying them fingered to get some practice. And like any good challenge, making it public helps keep myself accountable

I really like walking basslines. Volbeat gave me some pleasure today.
