  4. @@diddie17 yes, Sometimes I miss 4=>2 slide. And I can play that slide right. And I do. But something's wrong. I can't understand. Maybe my new strings are playing with me. And maybe my broken bridge pickup buggy (I fixed it). But sometimes I miss one note on the yellow string. Anyway, as said @Motive - let's fight it! That's why we're here - to fight with our fingers, our strings, our minds!

  6. As much as I like long music, learning short music is great for the Championship. Five minutes in Riff Repeater gives you a noticeable score increase, and a whole week to only learn a minute and a half of music makes for good competition. I'm at 93.5 so far, each play I get a little higher!

  8. I got my standard Wednesday uptick... Endicott is at 97% - half way to my target of 99% And just to do something tasteless and self destructive, i tried Endicott on the ukelele bass. Having to adjust to the rubber strings and change in scale made for a predictably terrible score. Note that I played SA on easy to avoid the dreaded XXX. I hope that the Uke-bass attempt doesn't mess me up going back to a normal bass.

  13. http://i.imgur.com/5cDW2T7.jpg Alright, alright! I haven't listened to jazz much lately, but back when I was learning how to drum it was under a jazz teacher who incorporated it a lot into his style. Solid tune. It's tricky but after like two seconds in Riff Repeater I can see how you do it. Just need to get my fingers to listen to my brain now. :P

  14. 1. EOF will bring up a prompt to place a phrase at each beat that has a Rocksmith section but no phrase. Make sure that the "Rocksmith phrase marker" checkbox is still checked when the prompt comes up, and enter a name for the phrase and click OK. Repeat for each new event EOF asks to add. 2. This is mostly a harmless warning as EOF is just telling you it's adding fret hand positions itself. You can add some manually or more permanently generate them by using "Track>Rocksmith>Fret hand positions>Generate all diffs" on each track that has notes in it before saving the project. If you make changes to the chart after adding fret hand positions, you may need to edit or re-generate them, but EOF will usually warn if it thinks there are problems. 3. You can manually place a Rocksmith phrase named "COUNT" (leave out the quotation marks) somewhere in the chart. EOF's preferred beat at which to put the phrase when it is missing (the first one) already has a Rocksmith phrase, so it can't have another one. Alternatively, you can remove the phrase on the first beat by selecting it (left clicking the --> arrow), using Beat>Events, selecting the phrase in the list that comes up (it should have a P in parentheses to denote it as a phrase) and click the Delete button. Error 6 when trying to add leading silence is a generic error condition where the resulting audio couldn't be loaded. If you're using the "stream copy" option, try using the re-encode option instead. Otherwise if you send me the EOF log in its program folder (after adding silence has failed) I can see if it reveals anything.

  16. @@Vodka for the Depeche Mode song, I was struggling with the slides from the 4th fret to the 2nd fret on the purple e string. Is that what you are having issues with too? It took me a long time to get through that section, and I might be wrong, but I thought the recognition in learn a song was better than in score attack. Try it in learn a song and see if you can get 100%. I think 99.03% is just 2 notes off! It is a strange week really. with the exception of those slides, the beginner song is really easy, and the like you I find the Deep Purple song hard. Both guitar intermediate songs are way beyond me this week too. As @ said though the only thing you can do is fight it. If you are struggling with the same slides as I was, let me know, I'll have to go play it again, but I found a couple of things and timings that seemed to help.

  17. Very nice improvement on bass. Is it because you've been practicing bass though, or playing guitar? :) I think both. I've got better all-around, thus improvement. Though if I had played more bass, I would score better, as it's not that complicated as I remembered

  18. Hi, folks. The latest hotfix (2-3-2016) is in the first post. Changes are as follows: *Fixed a bug where allowing EOF to transpose the guitar notes affected by a tuning change when tech view was in effect would cause tech notes to be altered instead of the normal notes. *Improved the tuning change transpose logic to offer to update pitched and unpitched slide ending positions. *Improved Feedback import to recognize the unofficial "N 6 #" tapping notation and to create slider phrases to define such notes. *Fixed a bug where the target song folder for the new project created during Feedback import might not be correctly set to reflect the imported file's location. *Updated RS exports so that string/palm muted notes are written without sustain. *Added a warning during save (if RS1/2 export is enabled) if any arpeggio or handshape phrases cross a phrase change, which may not work correctly if the chart has or gains dynamic difficulty (ie. through DDC). *Improved multiple Rocksmith checks performed during save to correctly observe both normal notes as well as tech notes.

  20. I keep forgetting to post updates this week, so here's a look at how the lead paths are coming along. Skunk Anansie - made a bit of a hash of the solo on this run, but other than that it's fine. http://s7.postimg.org/6mbhm7zsr/skunk_anansie_weak_as_i_am_lead.png Charlie Christian - several interesting things about this song make it difficult for me to get it sounding just right. Apart from the fact that it's quite fast, the swing rhythm is tricky to nail and the lack of any gain in the tone punishes any sloppiness in my picking technique. There's two sections I'm still struggling with improving from 90 to 100% speed. Rubbish score below because I realised I didn't have a screenshot already so I just ran through it once quickly. http://s11.postimg.org/46p71steb/charlie_christian_seven_come_eleven_lead.png Pearl Jam - spending a lot of time with this one, I have everything except the main solo fairly well sorted. http://s16.postimg.org/nb8nivxj9/pearl_jam_even_flow_lead.png

  26. @@chapmak - only the first of those is particularly serious (I think). Here's how to address them with the minimal effort, but the latter two I don't think you really need to do anything about, it just helps things a bit if you fix them. 1) When adding sections, make sure that the checkbox to also add phrases at the same position is on. Since you've already added sections, you should be able to edit each of them (Beat -> All Events, select the section you want to navigate to, then press "Edit") and make sure the "Rocksmith phrase marker" box is checked and things should be OK. 2) Go to Track -> Rocksmith -> Fret Hand Positions -> Generate all diffs. This will generate the FHP based on a default algorithm (the same that's used to put in FHP if you haven't done any). It's not perfect, but most people just leave it as is. If you want to go above and beyond and make a really high quality DLC (approaching ODLC quality), you will want to do manual adjustments. 3) Basically, you just want to have a measure in the song before the first section begins to avoid this. If you have the chart starting on the first beat, you can add a measure in 4/4 by navigating to the first beat, then going to Beat -> Push Offset Back four times. I hope that helps! Edit: Ninja'd.
