Isn't that the whole point of music?  Soundtrack of our life and all?  We used to listen to Here I Go Again before cross country meets to get in the zone.  Seemed appropriate for a solo sport.

Figured out the lead part.  I really like the intro, I wish they repeated that theme elsewhere in the song.  Maybe during those long breaks?

 

Cleaned up the bass some.  

 

and a bit of Whitesnake.  Not at the level of that run in there.

Yep, this version is much more difficult then the original one I was playing! Picking it up though, because it was kind of similar in phases.
