  1. IDK pop uhhhh...Alien Ant Farm's cover of Smooth Criminal?
  2. Pretty sure passive monitors hooked up to a PA will do everything you want.
  3. It's for educational purposes so it's fair use.
  4. RS sounds better if you use an amp anyways. Most sound cards have better hardware than the RTC. So I use nocable. In direct comparison to my RS2014 RTC, this setup has much better sustain and does not have that awful decay noise that the RTC does.
  5. Defender is a joke and only goes by "is code signed?" If yes: run If no: OMG VIRUS!
  6. Stole this from Steam forum user who I don't know. Apparently Remastered supports no cable itself. Maybe this will work. I, myself, have no issues with the old nocable patch. Just make sure to disable all other inputs and set the audio quality to DVD and you're gold. Everything after this line is not my words. No need to download sketchy software or mod anything with the newest version of RS2014RM. Just edit your "Rocksmith.ini" file. Put this in there: "RealToneCableOnly=0". The following is a dump of my entire Rocksmith.ini file. With this I can use whatever cable I want, mic (for acoustic guitar or different instruments) or no cable at all. /// [Audio] EnableMicrophone=0 ExclusiveMode=0 LatencyBuffer=4 ForceDefaultPlaybackDevice=0 ForceWDM=0 ForceDirectXSink=0 DumpAudioLog=1 MaxOutputBufferSize=0 RealToneCableOnly=0 Win32UltraLowLatencyMode=1 [Renderer.Win32] ShowGamepadUI=0 ScreenWidth=1920 ScreenHeight=1080 Fullscreen=2 VisualQuality=2 RenderingWidth=0 RenderingHeight=0 EnablePostEffects=1 EnableShadows=1 EnableHighResScope=1 EnableDepthOfField=1 EnablePerPixelLighting=1 MsaaSamples=4 DisableBrowser=1 [Net] UseProxy=1 ///
  7. Take screenshot of your CDLC Creator tab and post it. Someone else had this issue and it was because they left some fields blank.
  8. Virus scanners are kind of a scam now. You have to sign your code to get them not to detect your software as a generic trojan. And that is not free. This issue came up a lot with older version of CFSM, stick with the new versions. Check this thread and read Cozy1's signature. http://customsforge.com/index.php/topic/36372-avg-detects-virus/
  9. No problem, any time. Glad to be of service. Next time use google instead of posting threads with inflammatory titles jerk.
  10. No it's not. The entire site lacks SSL, it's expensive. Ignition can use an old version of Flash but it is not required and still off by default. If you get hacked because there is no SSL the worst it can get is your password for this free site is stolen and that is no big deal unless you use the same password everywhere. You shouldn't feel so much concern about things you don't understand. You are literally going by what the dummy indicators say.
  11. But i read an amp is not meant to work with the wide sound spectrum that Rocksmith music will output. No. Also i read people saying you can blow a pc if you plug them. No. But still an amp will not let you use it as a guitar amp and a PC speaker at the same time. The Behringer can work as a RS cable but you'd still need a guitar amp...you can use the Line In on the Behringer to connect to the Phones/Direct Out jack on your Line 6. But really you could just plug that into your PCs Line In and just use the Behringer for the speaker.
  12. Ignition kinda hides the links with a php link that just looks up the ID in the ignition DB and redirects you to the link. I'm not even sure if the Customs Forge Song Manger tool you can find on the bottom section of the forums can do this yet.
  13. No, ignition does not actually have the files at all. They are all hosted on mediafire or dropbox or google drive so you still have to collect the links 1 by 1.
  14. Placebo effect strikes again. At least you caught it partyG... Using 432hz as reference for A only leads you to down tuning your guitar a tiny bit. Guitars aren't even that precise. Fixed fret micro tonal guitars is more important. You would never have such a slight down tune actually work the same on every fret on a normal guitar anyways because they aren't all that precise.
  15. Disable any filters. In the search bar do a blank search. Just delete anything that is there, even if it's a space and hit enter.
  16. Any laptop at that price will play this game or you can get your money back. Minimum 1TB HDD. Minimum 8GB RAM, if it's less than that they are ripping you off really badly at that price. Hell 8GB is a rip off at that price. If there are no USB 2 ports you may need a USB 2 hub for the RS Cable. But some USB 3 ports are compatible...you just won't know until you try. Maybe don't spend a grand...full HD RS2014 can be easily done by a $500 laptop.
  17. Yeah. Using all your fingers builds synapses. It's not really a strength thing, but an ability to get signals to/from the fingers faster. Your brain literally builds more new pathways for your fingers the more you use each one. While the hand and fingers mostly get stronger as a whole. If you are always biased to index and ring finger, they won't really be stronger but they will feel infinitely more useful than the others and you don't want that. You want them all up to the same level. Why? You cannot go faster by trying harder. Or let me rephrase that, you cannot go faster by using more force. You need the get comfortable hitting notes with the least amount of pressure on any finger. Or else any fast fretting will always be sloppy. The pull offs just don't happen right if you went down with too much pressure and the hammer ons will be early. All those, faster playing, more complex and solos are locked behind comfort. If you don't have comfort you don't nail it.
  18. Mastery before proceeding. Or you can be like me and play every song...poorly. Those are it for options. The only bad habit I see is always leading with the index finger. Try making chords with your middle finger and pinky too sometimes. And Enter Sandman's intro needs that slide up into the notes after the chord. Try and hit those notes with your ring and pinky fingers. And never stop learning chords, they give clues on hand positioning.
  19. http://customsforge.com/index.php/forum/60-download-rocksmith-toolkit/ If you don't have the toolkit get it. Open the GUI exe. On that first page click Close. Then you'll have a page with a bunch of tabs. Find the tab that says CDLC 2 Tab and click it. Output to: ASCII Tab for an easy to print txt file.
  20. Point 4 is completely wrong. You don't need Cherub Rock for CDLC anymore.
  21. Steam updates are opt-in. They can be disabled easily. Remastered is cool on my desktop, but not on my laptop...it doesn't work at all. You can update in Steam by right clicking the game in Library and select update or unpause update or whatever...its there somewhere.
  22. This is the problem with Virus Total. You gotta really look at what it says and not just the scary red text. Only 1 of the 3 AVs that detected something actually gave it a name. Google the name, one of the results says "Microsoft detects this." Scroll down that Virus Total list, notice Microsoft didn't detect that trojan... Therefore, Baidu is paranoid BS.
  23. Everyone running it has no problems. Your A/V sucks because all A/V sucks. It's outdated technology. Signature based detection just can't work anymore because packers and crypters. The only thing A/V is good at is freaking out when it doesn't have an entry for what it's scanning. This is hobby software, nobody is going to sign up and pay to have their free program greenlighted by A/V companies.
  24. You want a better solution than "don't use Norton?" Okay, I got one. Don't use A/V. How about you take a gander at the huge list of complaints against Norton for over 20 years? And you're paying for that hot garbage. FYI, AVG, McAfee, Avast are all just as bad. Is something new or not insanely popular? Congratulations, its flagged as a trojan. Protip, if your A/V detects "generic trojan" it hasn't detected anything at all. Like, it can't even give you a name of what it has detected? Then it's BS.
  25. So I signed up here with my Steam username, somebody's Steam profile has the exact same name and that's what got attached to my profile. Any way to fix?
