  1. Hey all, As you can see there are large performance issues with the website. I'm fully aware as I get messaged about it from every source possible. With a full time job and as the only sysadmin this falls under as something only I can fix at the moment. I'm having a hard time narrowing the issue down as when the time outs start, there is no backend errors or severe load issues. The other issue is when prime-time (most users on the site) happens I'm usually asleep due to that I work night shift which makes it harder for me to see the issue. I understand everyone's frustrations,

  3. Super catchy. ♫~ I forgot to submit my FC of this to the CS, but how about an elaborate week-and-a-half-late performance anyway?

  12. @Gamut I think Future People is much more technical and more difficult than God Knows... I rate Future People at 8 and I would transfer it to the masterclass, and God Knows is more 7 and advanced. This is my suggestion My scores:

  14. I'm getting better at playing the bass, and better at finding the picture url. This song was not that hard... I even tried the "intermediate". And this time it is not that impossible (wondering why last week at the same level for both intermediate and advanced (7)). Though when playing the second, I was wondering... Why did I ever buy a bass with more than one string? And here thinking about the discussion I had about why not change strings instead of wanking the bass. But on the other hand, if the song was made using different strings, it would have been much easier, so now I have

  15. I see what you are saying, I guess it comes down to the technique. I'm perhaps a better pick player, but I am really a beginner on fingerstyle, pops, slaps, etc. I really should break it all down and work on that style, but bass isn't really my passion. (however learning fingerstyle on guitar is on my list) I play bass to help me understand the song structure and because it challenges my "melody first" mindset. My point is that I'm impressed because you hold your own utilizing a much harder technique and you deserve props for that! And I occasionally feel guilty because you can beat m

  18. Post all your CDLC requests here. Since we no longer have the "Popular" Request system, you can now post them in this, and only in this, topic! NOTICE. Posting a request here does not mean that someone will make it. Spamming the same song over and over will get you suspended. This is not a demand area. The Charters that post their CDLC on CF do so because they want to. You cannot force them to make your song. Do not send PM's to every single charter asking for your song to be made. Basically this is a dumping ground for your requests and nothing more.

  21. I'm back... had another go with the bass intermediate song. And I cheated! I cheated all I could. I rewrote the tab to use more strings (and less wanking the bass). I even changed the tuning to drop Eb (instead of drop D, since there was no D's anyway). And then i practiced (I know that is also a kind of cheating ). I got a little better... And after a few runs, I tried just for the fun of it, to play as intended. So no cheating, just to see how much better my cheating version was... Drop D and all notes on the same string... and behold. My best performance ever: So maybe it

  22. My tuning on the A string was a bit off so I dropped a note or two near the end. Always down for more Alabama Shakes in the challenge though, and the official DLC pack is quite fun as well: The intermediate and advanced songs were both fun and never really frustrating for me, though the solo part on God Knows... was tricky.

  24. This is how to change the font in the "profile select" menu. Make sure you have copies of the "commonlib.gfx" and "gfxfontlib.gfx" files we used earlier to use as a resource. You will need to get HEX versions of the colors you replaced "WHITE_CLR" and "BLUE_CLR" with earlier and write them down in a text file for later. Unpack the static.psarc file. (we will be repacking this static.psarc so its better to just unpack a fresh one instead of reusing the one you unpacked earlier) Open the static.psarc folder and navigate to "gfxassets/views" then open the file "profileselect.g

  25. Anyone else have a customized loft? If so post some pics here. Im trying to find info on editing the .nif files, Nifskope can edit the nifs but it causes RS to crash. Anyone know of a way to do this? Also trying to change the fonts if anyone has any input.

  26. Now that you have your "commonlib.gfx" "gfxfontlib.gfx" and Decimal color codes you are ready to move on. Open the "commonlib.gfx" file with JPEXS. A warning dialog will pop up. Click yes, yes again, navigate to the "gfxfontlib.gfx" file you extracted from static. Select it and click open. Repeat the previous step. At the top of JPEXS click settings, Then click "use own flash viewer" Then click file to leave settings. 28. Your lag calibration should be on 0 unless your audio is out of sync otherwise you're just adding more lag to your game and throwing it off more. If you're on PC it should nearly always be on 0 unless you have a jank setup. Have a look through Rocksmith.ini and RocksmithConfiguration.pdf. But in general, turn on exclusive mode and Win32UltraLowLatencyMode. Put your LatencyBuffer as low as it can without audio issues (2 worked for me) and make sure ForceWDM and ForceDirectXSink are off. Makes a world of difference in score attack, you can actually play on time and still get prefects.

  29. I see where you're coming from. It's close, and I even struggled deciding which would be MC. But ultimately I rate difficulties on reproducing the song, not necessarily how hard it is to make good number in Rocksmith accuracy, and in my opinion making God Knows' rhythm guitar sound like the song is remarkably harder than making Future People's, even though it's certainly easier to score higher on.. Though both charts are good, they are also not perfect - neither rhythm includes the dynamics, which are a big factor in nailing both songs but harder to pull off in God Knows. I'm gonna leave class

  30. This is how to change "most of" the font colors in Rocksmith. You need to unpack the cache.psarc file (found in rocksmiths main folder) using the RS toolkit. Go to the cache folder you unpacked and open the "cache8.7z" file. Open "gfxassets" then "libs" Scroll down to the "commonlib.gfx" file and move it out of the zip to your desktop or an empty folder. Now you will need to unpack the static.psarc file (also found in your rocksmiths main folder) for some resources for JPEXS. Go to the static folder you unpacked and open "gfxassets" then "localization" Drag the

  32. Nifskope doesn't have very good rs support, even just opening and re-saving the file kills it. The only luck I've had is replacing nif files with other ingame ones, this won't work with the loft since it has the camera animations and for some reason is rigged? Unless proper support for rs gets added to nifskope we're outta luck on the custom models front. You need JPEX flash decompiler to modify the fonts.gfx file Unpack cache.psarc Extract cache4.7z Go to the gfxassets\localization subfolder Open fonts.gfx in the flash decompiler Select the top font and cli

  36. It's very easy to tell I have some lag issues after playing Future People. I have to hit the note just slightly prior to the note actually hitting my string, resulting in a perfect played note rather than good or late. I have always seemed to have a difficult time with this setting in the game (whether to increase or decrease the lag setting number). Any tips on making this easier to get it right would be helpful. I often wonder if it is in the created song version or if it is lag? When I hear the song (or any song) I can tell when I should be playing the note to stay in rhythm and that wo
