  3. I guess this leans my style abit, first attempt. Avenged Sevenfold has few I really like! .pdf I like some of Smashing Pumpkins, guess not this one too much, first attempt .pdf Not very familiar with this group, but I could hear more, first attempt .pdf I thought I was gonna improve last weeks songs and I did Friday night, thinking I would play again and post Saturday. But ended up on the lake with a beautiful sky and Greatly Loved Family.

  5. Last two first runs for me - Intermediate and Intermediate Bonus: This one is from the first Smashing Pumpkins album...the lyrics touch on suffering as a sort of mirror and a way to both see who you really are and to grow as a person: And Buried Alive from A7X - generally typical murky/quasi-horror themed lyrics from this band but captures the tedium and grappling with death that came with the pandemic:

  6. Finally I got time to play this weeks song. I'll probably don't have much time (again) with exams and such. Based on my scores from first play throughs, the beginners song is the second most difficult one!?! (to be fair, I practiced a bit during Suffer). Especially the end was crazy, and quite out of the difficulty level of the songs... I think that leads to another discussion. Should the difficulty be based on the hardest part, the average or what? If based on an average, you can risk meeting song at your level, where half of it is way too difficult and another that are too easy...

  7. I hope everyone enjoys this week. It's a theme based on some of the frustrations and feelings that the pandemic has brought me. I didn't get to thoroughly test all the lead and rhythm parts so let me know if you have any feedback. I'm not 100% sure about Stone Cold Digital given the tuning but the bass part is fun if your bass can get down to A std (I have a 5-string).

  8. I'm really disappointed with what I have seen so far. Basically we are to pay a subscription service for something that doesn't have anything new except community fluff and an option to eliminate the cable. We waited a year+ for this announcement? LAME. I'm pissed. https://gamerant.com/rocksmith-plus-sequel-announced/

  9. Well done @Mikson and @diceslinger passing me on Franklin's Tower! I had a really good run going with 300+ streak to start the song only to lose my rhythm in the second half and finish lower than my previous score. Oh well, I'll try again today. Meanwhile, I had a blast playing through Master of Puppets...well, after Battery which is my least favorite song on the album. I choked a bit on Orion but otherwise I'm proud of my score. Much respect to those who actually played the whole album on Score Attack.

  10. Scores update - class songs: I was trying this one in Score attack few times, but never got over 98%... there ware always few notes where finger slept off and missed... This one is so fun to play, despite strange (for me) chords changes... could not get above 90% though. However, I like the progress I have seen with this one after each try I was starting at approx 80 and it was consequently improved like 81, 83, 85, 85, 87, 89, 90... motivating.. pity that it stopped on 90 This one i was not able to pass in Score Attack... those bridges ar

  13. Absolut classic and evergreen discussion point. My pov is that clearly the hardest part must determine the diff rating. In most cases that will be the solo. Let´s take Iron Maiden for example - they will be usually riffing on low adv level through the song, the solos usually will be at least 8, rather 9 - so unplayable for adv players, even if short. That song is clearly a MC song then because if it is called 7 a player who is even on XP Level 75 will (even on hard RR training) not be able to achieve 99% which is kind of the definition of the real level. Exception seldomly might apply on ver

  14. A few initial tries for me, all from today: First, this lovely and eccentric tune from what is IMO the best QOTSA album...this one was written by Josh Homme to his daughters about "saying goodbye to dark days" which is hopefully what we will be doing as the world continues to recover from the pandemic: Another great track from a really strong Vampire Weekend album. This one has some incredible, poetic lyrics about coming to grips with suffering and pain (some of it self-caused, some not) when you thought maybe it wouldn't happen to you: And Stone Cold D

  16. I suppose I'll enter for my own song, FCs on all paths: Pro (?) tip, you can totally cheat the Bass ending by not playing the slides as intended and instead just strumming the start and end notes (which helps especially if you move the starting note up a string)

  19. From this week songs, I've only tested Kalopsia before, so I'll give you my difficulty ratings. Lets go! 3-4 4.5-5 Okay, I have a problem with this, the riffs parts are more difficult, but then we have relatively easy doubles-stop parts. But I think it's 5-5.5 and intermediate class song. 8 or 9 for solos

  22. I tried the Grateful Dead song without backing of the instrument. Wow this is really nice, Bass and Rhythm sounded good, but Lead was a real challenge. I was scared!

  23. Ugh, these slides just don't get recognized A bit too hard for intermediate level Phew! I had to use a pick on some parts. It's impossible to play Damage Inc with fingers!

  30. Game doesn't like those octave slides much. Not bad song tho. Doesn't even use the low A smh. Played on my 4 string in D standard and detection was still ass. Maybe the low bass fix does something funky or I just need thicker strings.

  37. I really enjoyed using the PRS SE Standard my oldest son lent me for this song. The action felt a little more comfortable. Anyway, some more of them there High Flying Birds. Think I'll work on Muffin Man. My score isn't competitive there yet. Leaving Zombie Barricade on rhythm alone. That's a little advanced for me at this point.

  41. Some Zombies been running around. Trying to decide between working on Muffin Man on bass or If I had a Gun on lead. Muffin Man is fun, but I'd like to advance beyond beginner on lead - and that might take a few weeks. Hmmm. New strategy is rhythm on the Gretsch Junior Jet strung with 10-46s and lead on the PRS SE strung with 9-42s. Let's see how that works.
