I'm a bit disappointed as I felt like I had the song down fairly well minus the second part of the solo and one other part that kept messing me up that shouldn't have.

  14. Since it's Halloween (still, at least for me and other people in NA and SA), and Devin Townsend is the extra song this week, I thought some of you might like seeing this video if you haven't yet. Anyway, while I wasn't the one to originally chart it, I can do updates on Eagle Fly Free if there's anything that needs doing. I didn't play around with tone volumes (or the tones themselves) too much back when I did the update, so let me know if there's any adjusting I should do there. For the bass pre-chorus (I think) riff, I wasn't sure about the best way to play it. I'll probably play around with some things while I'm RRing it in the coming days, but if you have any suggestions for it, I'd welcome them. Corrections to the tabs will of course be useful as well. Also sectioning if there's anything that's too hard to practice, or places where I went overboard and made sections that are too easy to fail. Also, both lead guitar and rhythm guitar have solos, as the tabs provided had things separated by guitarist. I'd be happy to try to add pure lead and pure rhythm, but given that the song was selected this way, I'd keep the main paths as they are (at least for this week).

  17. Oh, oh! Fought for the honour! Oh, oh! Fought for the splendour! Oh, oh! Fought for the pleasure! http://i.imgur.com/yN8Figt.jpgBut hopefully not to the death! (But seriously, I hope you don't have more time in the next hour or two). I think all of my misses were in the first half of the riff under the first harmony (though I thought I had only four misses, so take that with a grain of salt), so the streak will be pretty hard to beat. It's definitely still possible to do it with fewer misses as I've gotten 3 or 4 misses on that riff several times, and I've had halves of it that were 100% (as the latter half was this time). But it's probably not too likely that I won't get any misses on the second solo or the chords (where sometimes I've somehow gotten four misses) again, and I can't yet play that riff consistently enough to the point where it wouldn't take lots of trials to improve further.

  19. @@fiddlesticks - It's better if you spread the fun out throughout the week rather than saving everything up for Friday. Anyway, here's my response. http://i.imgur.com/JlvH9L9.jpg Oh, wait. Wrong one. You interrupted me when I was trying to go for 100%'s on the official Maiden songs. (For the record, I f'ed up exactly one note before each chorus). For real now: http://i.imgur.com/tEXYwrE.jpgDamnit, wrong one again! (Missed the very last G on the riff after the solos. So close). Maybe this one? http://i.imgur.com/dzpxMZu.jpgYour move. I think that's 10 misses: 8 in the riff under the first harmony, 1 in the riff under the second solo (which is far to easy to fool Rocksmith on, though I tried to play it honestly), and 1 chord in the outro.

  25. EOF saves every arrangement completely independently of the others, it shouldn't be possible for it to confuse chords in one track with those in another. If the chord names are correct in EOF and in the XML files it creates during save, that's generally where my involvement ends and it would be an issue with something else like the toolkit. Please check the XML files, particularly the names given in the chordTemplate tags. I'll be on standby if anybody else can confirm whether chords within handshape tags are not being displayed with both the repeat line and the single notes that make up the chord. If it's not displaying that way, I can probably fix it by exporting such chords as both a chord and as single notes.
    1 point
  26. I agree the chord names are to fk. I actually made a (honestly totally separate suggestion, I use 1409) suggestion in the Toolkit thread for a relative/sounding chord editor. Seems like now would be a great time to allign chord name databases... But I really commented to say well done @ That's the most impressive chart I've seen in a long time, I'm definitely gonna look out your stuff and play it  If I were to add a tip, I'd say make the notes at the start of the handshape accented (in EoF Ctrl+Shift+A), the chart would just be to die for :D And tune your fkn guitar!

  34. I was never a friend of ignition, because it encourages too much a hit and run attitude, I like critics and suggestions, but feedback for our customs became quite rare. Ignition also hangs on Opera 12.16, whenever I select an artist or a charter, I get a not very well ordered list, and I can't go further. This version of Opera is the most customizable browser ever made, so I won't change, but of course it's no argument against Ignition. But it's the only issue I have from all my regular sites. Now with the old search, my complete list of customs doesn't show anymore, only some, and I wonder if the filters also "forget" other customs. There are 78 Buckethead customs on Ignition, but the old search engine only displays 70. So that leaves me sitting between two chairs. I can understand when it is criticized, that ignition is not (yet) worth the donations, I still wait for THE major improvement that will change my mind. Still no very clear way to bring people to feedback on how well a custom is made. It really keeps me off downloading, I really like to play the customs, and memorize them but too often, I had to spend half an hour correcting them before. Maybe the download button should politely (warn to) deactivate, for those who never rate a custom. Maybe some ratio rating/download should be installed.
