Power Metal and Symphonic Metal

Recommended Posts

Another big metal genre topic. As usual, let me know if I've missed anything, and I'll update it.

If you are uploading or updating a song in these genres, it would help to link to this post so that others can find similar music more easily. Thanks!

*Remembers to put in Pantera as a joke*

*Forgets to put in Dragonforce*

Not to mention some other pretty significant bands. Thanks for the catches, @@Teinashu!

@@Lilumina - Thanks for the reminder. Been a while since I updated this (and similar threads), and it's hard to motivate yourself to keep up to date on something like this when it's not clear that anyone cares.

Anyway, I still need to update a bunch of the numbers on this (this is easy to do for bands already on the list via the Artist search page), and likely add a few more bands, so let me know if there's anything else you think should be added!

So far, there is only one chart of it, produced by myself, but a lesser-known name throughout power metal is Timeless Miracle. They were on the recent Tribute to Sonata Arctica album as the very first song, their cover of "Full Moon".

I'm trying to work on their current discography all by myself. :(
