Random misses everywhere.  I really need to tighten up my playing. But with all the dist i cant even hear what i am doing wrong. Might try to play this with a cleaner tone just to learn.

I appear to only have DLc files and CDLC files in my rocksmith library. Has anyone else had this issue too? Does that mean I have to reinstall Rocksmith to get back the original content? I seem to have a couple of songs from the original game but my list is running short of nearly half of the original tracks :(

Ok, because of poor results and overall lack of skill @NoonyDeloony gets downgraded to Advanced. She would be forever remembered as shameful person... and then she'll make another charming video and we'll forget about that.

Not sure about this week, can't seem to get the score attack to show, and when i do the learn a song, i don't get the bars on top.  I'll submit these and keep trying to get a more legit version.

Yes, that is due to lack of difficulty levels / DD.  It is possible to run the files through the toolkit DDC (Dynamic Difficulty Creator) to generate the difficulty levels for you so they look more like what you're used to.  On the other hand, a lot of people (myself included) have actually come to *prefer* not having Dynamic Difficulty.  I want to see ALL of the notes from the get-go, saves time turning the difficulty up and never levels down sections that I struggle with.  To me, the best way to learn is to see all of the notes but lower the playback speed in Riff Repeater; DD just further gets in the way of that.

One more thing that you can diagnose is if you get a custom with the difficulty bar being an orange line like that, but also quite short and crammed all the way on the right end of the screen.  If you get one like that, the custom creator both A ) didn't use DDC to make difficulty levels, and B ) didn't put sections into the song either.  Usually songs like that are playable, but you can't riff repeat since there are no sections.  Also, even if you play the song all the way through the play count will usually be stuck at 0.  These are more annoying than the above, but they can still be fixed by running them through DDC in the toolkit -- DDC automatically makes sections in the song.  Then, if you don't want the difficulty levels, you can run it through DD Remover.

First bass scores. Megadeth is straight forward. Might have a problem in your right hand if you're a bit slower with your fingers, although I'm sure using a pick it's a breeze.

GnR is fun, song kind of drags on a little long I feel, but it's definitely a manageable song. This is going to be a score battle week, and for the daring it might be taken further.

thanks for the info milkmandan.  i've wondered about that before, but i've never found enough time to try charting my own stuff, otherwise i might have come across that.  seems odd that i can play the beginner and advanced but the intermediate is kicking my butt.  just can't get into the song i guess.  i'll be watching to see what is next.    also a huge thank you to all the charters and the people involved in the contest.  i really appreciate the work you do to make this such a marvelous site.  i just wish i was progressing faster, but i know i need more time on the strings to do that.  that's why i appreciate all the work everyone here puts in to make my time so much more enjoyable.

And for anyone playing through an amp in parallel with Rocksmith, i can highly recommend one of these bad boys:

...

Cannot see the pic!

Can you post a link, i would be very interested!

I myself think that technical weak playing is pretty disguised in the RS sound mix, and we all know you can get a real high acc. with real bad timing too. So - i tend to play with the guit level set to 100, the "music" to 60, still going to the amp regularly unearthes a rather awful truth -_-

So - playing through the amp would spare me the step plus take away the (rest)delay.

- Do you have the guitar music muted to 0% in Mixer? Is this working out to your full satisfaction?

Still considering getting behind the very sophisticated, extremely good looking setup @ is using, but the easier, the better.

- So you use your standard amp tone for all songs?

Dunno why pic isn't showing. Anyhow, here is the link: http://www.radialeng.com/bigshotaby.php

Yep, guitar volume is set to 0 in mixer. Works great in my opinion.

Amp is a Fender Mustang which has 24 preset tones so i can normally get pretty close to desired tone with minimal fuss. If it's a very unique tone, i'll turn the amp off and reset guitar volume to 100% in Rocksmith.

another day, another chance to put my mad skills to the test!

speaking of skills, @@Mortalo, @ and @@Rodman, I'm not sure but I think my brilliant playing over the last 2 weeks qualifies me to a lead downgrade (intermediate 66, 65).

It is not easy to be so bad. I work hard at it and it shows so I believe I should be rewarded for my incompetence.

Please judge me with kindness and let the RC universe know of my complete lack of talent!
