  1. Hey guys. Sorry it took so long but I finally have a working prototype for converting songs over to BandFuse. Over the past month I've re-written my entire RIFF serialization code, added support for celt encoding/decoding, and added midi import functionality. I've still got a lot left to implement but I just wanted to give an update. If you weren't already aware, BandFuse does DLC much differently than RS/RB. Each new package has an index entry which lists every file in the entire BandFuse archive including all previously released DLC. So distributing customs in an STFS package like releases from C3 is out of the question. For now I have a workflow for importing a custom then generating and updating the necessary RIFF files within an archive. I still need to add tone switching, album art conversion, better tab import, and probably a bunch of other stuff. Right now it just imports song charts from RB3 midi files that include pro guitar/bass tracks. I'm currently looking to either expand on RB3's midi spec for additional tab notation and/or implement an XML/JSON import feature. I'll coordinate with raynebc for EOF support when I get to that point. In the meantime, check out these gameplay videos of customs in action! "Bang Your Head (Metal Health)" - Quiet Riot https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Q8c3COvbDE "When I Come Around" - Green Day https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHvFKonTGR0 P.S. If anyone knows of any open source or free to distribute libraries for encoding BINK videos please let me know.

  2. Catching up to it, Riff repeated doesn't count the 400 iterations!

  4. It's the intentional behavior that for auto-generated fret hand positions, EOF will use the extra time the player has during an open note to place the next fret hand position suitably for the notes that follow. If you want to delay the fret hand change to fret 2 until measure 45, you'll need to do some manual edits to the fret hand positions. You can have EOF generate them and keep them in the project (so you can edit them, instead of just automatically during save) by using "Track>Rocksmith>Fret hand positions>Generate all diffs", enabling the display of fret hand positions at the top of the piano roll (the "top of 2D pane" item in File>Preferences>Preferences) to make it easy to see where the position changes occur, and then use the set and list functions in the "Track>Rocksmith>Fret hand positions" menu to add or delete positions as you see fit.

  9. heres my start to the week, bloody late as usual, Drop D does not play on my guitar but my bass absolutely hates it, A bit of a shaky start , note recognition, cold fingers, never heard the song before blah blah but got a 1% improvement every time i played, so by the 15th play i should be on 100% ;) the bass had serious recognition issues on anything bellow the 12th fret so I'm suffering a bit, but if i play a fret lower i get a bit of a better recognition. as for the Driver Seat Song, i broke the D string on the other guitar half way through the first play so there was quite literally a bit of Sniff 'N' Tears :( (Ernie Ball must love me ) night night all

  11. The thing is, if you can't tell if a song is in A432 just by listening to it, it's more likely to be a cognitive bias than anything tangible and it just means that you are being deceived by your own mind. That's not a bad thing in itself, placebo effect is a real thing and can be beneficial. Also, yes drummers do tune their drum set, or at least they should! As for the whole history the A pitch, it seems like there's quite an interesting book around that subject https://books.google.fr/books?id=3Vwh0PZ3EuMC&pg=PA301&dq=9780810841857&hl=fr&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwijyub12djYAhXHUlAKHS3ICO0Q6AEIJzAA#v=onepage&q=9780810841857&f=false It indicates that A pitch was in the late 18th century at 440 in Germany but as low as 416 in the Hardsburg Empire, you can easily imagine that musician from those two places weren't able to play together nicely as they were a whole semitone off from each other. There's also a whole discussion about the classical instrument and how they fit to a certain pitch because of their size in relation to the frequency which is likely to be very interesting and the fact different situation had different limitation like organ in churches which force other instrument playing along to fit to the organ tuning cause the other way around is a lot more troublesome to say the least. So that A frequency is something that has moved quite a lot because of a lot of consideration and even if some tribes seems to use a reference of A432, it might be for more practical reason than anything mystical and would need a lot more investigation before claiming such link between frequency and feelings.

  12. The custom tones issue is normally an easy fix. I've been fixing the CLDC that failed for me and I don't have the original files, since I didn't create them. It's not hard, simply import the package with the toolkit and then edit the arrangement files. There search for the tones section on the XML and you'll notice the errors right away (tone definition names don't match the names on the tone change definitions). So, put the correct name on the tone changes and create the package again with the modified files.
