I can nail it perfectly at 95% speed but that extra 5% makes it just too quick for me to play it well in SA. Hopefully with a little more practice I can get my pace up. The little arpeggio thing at the end (Bridge? Solo?) was a bit of a brain fart at first but I sat in the living room this morning with Bob and played it over and over until he made me stop by chucking Lego at my head.

I think it seems harder than it is because I am not familiar with this style at all. Surprised I even managed this much with how far I've got left to go. I still can't get that riff with the high E trills at all.

Fear me! I might try doing a rhythm run on Servitude just for kicks. Was feeling like I could do pretty well on it based on my bass run, then I realized there's probably palm muting and some other crap I'm probably not expecting. Here's a small album with pictures of the guitar if you want to see it. My camera's not great and I don't have the steadiest hand, so I apologize for crappy quality on some of the pictures. Anyway, the goal for this week is probably just to get promoted. Not sure if 99% will be easy, but it should be achievable with some practice and me getting in a run where I don't get too confused while navigating the strings.

Honestly, bass emulation sucks and I have more fun with the Lead, so I'm gonna keep playing the Amp FX chart. Not like I'm in Intermediate, so doesn't really matter to me whether it "counts".

Well that is not a duplicate. So devs need to change how duplicates are identified by CFM or give exemption checkbox like you ask. Will fix ASAP.

I play because it makes me smile when i listen to the sound being produced and realise its me creating this music no one else just me and the little army of fingers working together from brain to string

Punishment for extra played notes?! Maybe in Score Attack, but please never in Learn a Song! I would go crazy if I wasn't allowed to improv solos during long rests. Hell, I find myself chugging and adding extra flairs during simple riffs to avoid boredom, too.

The former fails me far too often even on relatively simple things, and the latter... well, right now most chords that are more complicated than power chords and the ilk are pretty much just guaranteed misses. Like in "I Want You Back" the octave chords are easy (though the strum and muting pattern isn't always), but when those other chords hit everything totally falls apart. Edit: Also, I had one really stupid miss very close to the end of the song. Very glad it didn't push me under 99%!

I really shouldn't respond as I just picked it back up after a year long depression and couldn't do much of anything but, right now, my motivation is because I want to be like the artists who play the music professionally. Not that I want to be a professional, but I idolize the creators and want to show myself that I can be like them with steady practice. Also, I get really passionate about certain songs and feel closer to them if I can learn them. I enjoy using my fingers to make things happen whether thats on Starcraft or on my bass guitar.

Important! Songs need bass and at least one guitar arrangement. There is exception for songs like this weeks Hanuman were there is no bass at all, or Royal Blood which does not have guitars. But remember that you still need to pair this kind of songs together (the way @@then3verend did), to have total package (and save me some work). You can always join forces.

I was doing it a lot in the past, but you started to make selections, so I didn't had to but now it's time for long awaited return of... Song Selection List post! In SSL you can add maximum 4 song selections. Though mind that, if you put more then one song in one lead guitar class, you do not gain more chances of your songs being selected - they're counted as one, and then one is selected from your group. Songs are selected by it's lead difficulty. For that I use Random Number Generator (random.org). It's great if you can put, at least, song's lead difficulty (more or less the way you see difficulty of that song), as without it I don't know for which class it should be selected. We try to fill it, but you shouldn't count on that with our lack of time. I can say that we would love to see some Beginner and Intermediate rhythms on songs, as we lack that big time.

I'm traveling most of this week so I'll only have today and tomorrow, and most of the days are filled up with the honey dew list. Joe Cocker - a cool groove and lots of fun 99% I don't have time to perfect it this week. Maybe I'll taunt the FreeBird police by carrying it over into next week. Jackson 5 - also lots of fun. I'd been working on this one a few months back and never quite got my speed where it needs to be. So far, I'm back up to on it. 94% but I'm expecting to improve. I won't have time to do anything serious with Fishbone, so I'll try the other one in a minute

Under the solo and after it you can also play all of the notes without the pinky pretty easily with small hand position shifts (though I used my pinky once under the solo). So while as tabbed it's quite hard on the pinky, you can actually play the whole song without ever using it. but if your pinky is strong enough, the line "Feels" a lot more controllable. Then again, personal preference

xD Ahh, I was like - "What was wrong? [checking SSL - nothing is wrong :huh: ] Ahh, you've selected it, ahh" Answer is simple - it was long time ago and that wasn't any obscure bands that I didn't knew (except Warrant - which I disliked ^_^ ). xD well shoot, 3 of my current selections arent exactly "Unknown" bands. I do believe my "fun" factor of these requests will be great again. I will say I do have quite a few obscure bands(I've never heard of them until they were requested) coming in the requests soon, and they are all different genres! :D

Rocksmith is kinda pointless in these kinds of songs. It does not detect muting or strumming patterns. Chords Display Fix MOD It's just an idea/concept for now (shouldn't be too hard to Modify the textures). Here's the idea: When there's a lot of close Chords in RS 2014 it's just unreadable, if you don't already know the song's rhythm. The idea would be to take ideas from a better readable interface. I've play Guitar Hero for several years & i think the readability is far better. There's one big difference according to me, in GH the notes are displayed "Flat" while in RS it's displayed vertically. The vertical choice is more confusing (but necessary to display chords), & Ubisoft have made the choice of choosing the same color for different elements on different deeps (the Chords rectangles & the sustains lines are all merged especially on some Point Of View).
