@@Rodman, I definitely agree, though, I've been now practicing for 2 years. So, advances really depend on your choice of music :P I think I'll definitely follow your advice and focus on what is within my reach :) @, thanks for your last messag, you really know how to Motivate your troops! I can't promise anything but I'll try from now on (if my free time allows it), to post my scores, whatever they are ;)8 points

Little + I tried to play it like @ with the whole strumming thing but i think my frethand muting needs more work....too many unwanted notes getting through. http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/6vppm7kfh47e9gp/221680_2015-05-01_00001.png?dl=06 points

I've had very little time to cram in bass practice so since my first runs on beg', int' and adv' I have literally practiced NONE and just meandered around with non championship songs that I like to listen to... then I came back to Nirvana for a bit because the bass line's pretty :) So... before I move on Saturday and since my internet is getting cut off tomorrow, a video. See you folks in approximately 6 days, when I will have a much more pleasant back drop! @@Mortalo might have sobered up from his "I love you man!" thing by then :)... though I hope not... that was nice to read :D http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=4349041902 points

This is what the championships are here for and I love hearing stories like this. I too have found many new bands that I would have never thought to listen to because of the championships and my playing has gotten so much better because of the championships. I am happy that the CS has helped you so much @@Mortalo and I know that if you keep up with it there is no limit as to what you can learn.2 points

@@Mortalo I`m not fully sure, but probably Metric was my choice. Why you make such post, you drinking? :D2 points

Exactly One year ago, there was week 27, first week I participated in. And that was really important moment for me, not only cause I became Organizer, but because of one particular band. But let's start with the beginning... Since seeing Championship back on Anvil, I wanted to give it a try. I wanted to learn how to play first, so I was not following RC at all. Then came the CustomForge age, and I was making progress at filling the DD bars. When I finally could play songs on Hard (well, Breaking the Law was quite easy, but still!), I decided to try myself with Championship. So I was coming from time to time, to check the beginner songs. When it was something like "Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band" I knew that I have practice more, but there were also songs like "I Miss the Misery", which I didn't liked and did not want to participate with. Late April, Week 27, I went to see what awaits me. Band? Metric. Song? Sick Muse. I had no idea what to expect, never heard about the band. Firstly, I watched the playtrough - "Huh, it looks like something I could do well with". Secondly I gave the try to official video - "That's not bad, not bad at all". So I played it, posted screen and downloaded all other Metric cdlc. Then I listened to their other songs. And I was blown away. First moment I heard Emily Haines sing "Can you hear my heart beating like a hammer", I knew that Metric won't be just other nice band. I become a fan. Phew, before only Metallica and Iron Maiden were making me nod so much. I don't want to waste your time with this personal crap but Championship introduced me to a band that become quite important to me. So here I want to thank everyone who made that happen: @@Kaijin, @@Joey, other Organizers that I didn't met, @@Aquilae for making wonderful cdlc of wonderful band and whoever selected Sick Muse (awesome guy for sure). Thanks guys, my life become better thanks to you :)2 points

@@MaZtoR Can`t stop to play a fun song, and unlike a song Coheed, so if you want fun, you need join there to intermediate and beat my score. :D yes this score: http://i.imgur.com/9TmW7ti.jpg Found that i always missed not double stop bends, but next note on 4th string, bcs of a bit continue bend 4th string fingertip (bend was up), so i started play bends down and no more miss there. And yet i follow method by@ with a few frethand muted strings and found it a bit easier, than play at one muted string.1 point

@@lostpapers - yeah, but regarding practice there is one very very important fact not to overlook: You gotta practice your level of difficulty or below, playing songs way above ones skill level will sabotage the progress. Thats why the CS is the perfect place to practice cause you get songs of your diff level, approved by a bunch of other players each week and are forced to do a proper amount of runs to get better if you wanna be able to compete. I for myself didnt know how to hold the strings about a half year ago, surely far off from being any decent, but beginner songs, they can be played in the majority of cases.1 point

:) It answer why i played more 21 times and my fingers yet is live. I too used for to start ring finger then when i feel pain, change to middle finger for pops, and then again pain, and stop practice. @@lostpapers I hope you read this useful topic. So post your score, even if it now is not great score, and continue practice and post yet score. We look forward to witnessing the growth of your skill. These were the values I get for Johnny B Goode (Total of 495 notes for Bass) Hard: Perfect=100 Good=80 Early/Late=60 Master: Perfect=124 Good=100 Early/Late=74 But these are the values I got for Space Truckin(752 notes): Hard Perfect=32 Good=26 Early/Late=19 Master Perfect=41 Good=32 Early/Late=24 Will test tomorrow for how long it takes for streaks to form, but i find this interesting, and anyone wanting to create a formula/add their own data may do so.1 point
